Vitalia Diatchenko live score, schedule and results - Tennis. New sex symbol of Russian tennis Vitalia Dyachenko Vitaly Dyachenko tennis Instagram

Tennis player Vitalia Dyachenko made her debut in the Russian national team in the match against Poland.

The sports editors of KazanFirst chose her as the girl of the week not only for her debut in the national team, but also for her beauty and the character of a real athlete.

Few people know that Dyachenko could end her career without ever reaching professional level. Constant injuries due to which the tennis player missed a year, or even two, doctors’ mistakes, surgeries and a 1% opportunity to continue doing what she loved. You won't say much. Yes, but Dyachenko survived and is now among the TOP 100 tennis players in the world, occupying 81st place. And we believe this is just the beginning.

Vitalia was born on August 2, 1990 in Sochi. Dad is a dispatcher at Sochi airport. Later his career went up the ranks. Now works for the UN in Africa as head of the flight department. Mom dedicated her life to the family, which is constantly on the move (the head of the family is in Africa, Vitalia, according to the tennis player herself, “wanders around the world,” and her brother is a hockey player who became the top scorer of the Russian youth championship).

At the very beginning of her career, Dyachenko chose between tennis and dancing. She settled on the first option because she really liked watching the competition on the court. The spirit of struggle and excitement was simply captivating.

In those early years, Kafelnikov, Safin, Kournikova and others came to Sochi, which also tipped the scales in favor of a sports career.

When Vitalia turned 11 years old, her parents realized that the level of training in Sochi would not allow Dyachenko to grow and moved to Moscow.

Then there were shoulder injuries. This was largely due to the fact that no one gave the young tennis player the correct training.

“At the decent Mouratoglou Academy in France, where I trained, no one really looked after my health, people didn’t care whether I was aching, hurting or abscessing. To the point where I had to go under the knife. Thank God, the operation was never performed - I was still very small,” recalls Dyachenko in an interview with Championship.som.

Vitalia missed almost the entire junior period of her career due to health problems. According to the tennis player herself, she does not know why she continued her career. Although the fact that my parents never insisted on college with the words “come to your senses” played a decisive role.

“Basically, my parents and I said: “Think about what’s best, because completely breaking your legs completely will make it difficult to recover and generally live normally.” I just didn't know what to do. I really wanted to play. It was very disappointing to start a career, get close to the top 100 at the age of 18 and disappear from the radar,” explains the athlete.

By this time, she had already made her debut in the Grand Slam tournaments (2009), making her way through the Roland Garros qualification sieve, beating Simona Halep along the way.

In 2011, Dyachenko played at Wimbledon and the US Open (losing in the first round at both), after which she suffered for almost two years with an injured meniscus.

Then specialists appeared in Vitalia’s life, who explained how to prepare properly and where her constant health problems came from, and so it went. In November 2014, Dyachenko rose to 71st place in the WTA rankings. And in February I received a call to the Russian national team. Considering that Maria Sharapova played for the national team at the match with Poland, Dyachenko attracted attention not so much with her game (she only performed in a doubles match with Svetlana Kuznetsova), but with her beauty. Dyachenko did not get lost against the background of Sharapova, and foreign journalists called her “the new sex symbol of Russian tennis.”
