DIY money tree. DIY Christmas tree: edible, rich or original? To work you will need

Do you know that you can make a Christmas tree with your own hands from sweets, mastic, pasta and even money? You can give it as a gift or decorate the New Year's table.

If you want to give an original gift to your friends, loved ones, or employees at work, then make a Christmas tree yourself. This one will help you express your creativity and save money. And there are many ideas for such needlework. You can make a copy of the forest beauty from paper, bottles, unnecessary newspapers, and ribbons. Those with a sweet tooth will surely love a Christmas tree made from sweets and fudge.

Delicious, edible Christmas tree

This New Year's attribute will not be thrown away after the holiday or put away on the mezzanine until better times. Sweet lovers will enjoy them with pleasure. The Christmas tree is made from mastic. Below is a recipe for universal fondant, from which you can make any figures: animals, cartoon characters, the bride and groom for a wedding cake.

For sugar mastic you will need:

  • 1 can of condensed milk;
  • 300 g each of powdered sugar and milk powder;
  • green gel dye.
Powdered sugar should be free of lumps, just like powdered milk. Therefore, first mix these ingredients and then sift 2 times through a fine sieve. Your mastic, prepared with your own hands, will have the desired consistency if you take good quality condensed milk - it should not be liquid. Now pour it into a bowl with sifted powder and dry milk, first knead with a spoon or spatula, and then with your hand.

Now put the mixture on the board and knead it until the fondant becomes smooth. Next, add a little dye and continue kneading until the color is uniform.

If you do not plan to use the mastic immediately, then wrap it in cling film to prevent it from drying out and store it in the refrigerator.

When it's time to make the fondant tree, take out the fondant and let it warm up. First roll the mass into a ball, then turn it into a cone.

Next, the workpiece can be placed on a flat dish or pierced at the bottom with a stick, previously planed and painted brown with food coloring. Bolts are placed on the bottom of the stick to make the structure stable. They can be easily draped with a sheet of white paper, turning it into a snowdrift.

Now you will need small nail scissors. Starting at the top of the cone, bend small segments with them. They will turn out the same and the DIY Christmas tree will look festive. To do this, pay attention that these particles do not overlap each other, but are arranged in a checkerboard pattern.

When the forest beauty is completely covered with such improvised branches, carefully push their ends slightly upward with your fingers. Now let the man-made miracle dry for 24 hours, after which you can present it as a gift or put it on the Christmas table as an original and tasty decoration.

Christmas tree made from pasta

Continuing the food theme, we need to tell you how to make a Christmas tree from pasta. This activity will bring adults and children together if the creativity is joint. They bring similar crafts to kindergarten for the New Year. They will take their rightful place on the stand where the works of preschoolers are displayed.

Here's what you'll need to get creative:

  • a sheet of Whatman paper or thick white paper;
  • pasta - tubes with a beveled edge;
  • PVA glue or “liquid nails”;
  • dye.
Cut out a circle of the required diameter from thick paper or whatman paper. Find its middle, put a dot here. Draw a radius from it, it will be equal to the length of the side of the tree. This will help you determine the height of the future craft. Then draw a second radius nearby and cut out the resulting sector. Lubricate one of the slots in the circle with glue, place a second slot on it, and glue these places. This is how you turned a circle into a cone.

Now, starting from the bottom, glue the pasta. First decorate the first tier, then the second, thus gluing the pasta to the top of the spruce. Let the product dry, then cover it with paint or varnish. A New Year's tree in green, gold, and silver colors looks good.

You can make a Christmas tree from pasta of a different shape. Flour products, the so-called bows, look great. They not only make a spruce tree, but also decorate it. The forest beauty must have toys. For this, in addition to bows, pasta in the form of rings is suitable. They are first coated with paint that differs in color from the color of the tree itself.

Christmas tree made of candies

The next master class continues the sweet theme. It will tell you how to make a Christmas tree out of candy. This original New Year's attribute looks great in the office. At the end of the holiday, you can simply eat the candies and not think about where to store the Christmas tree until next year.

For this craft you will need:

  • a sheet of white cardboard;
  • narrow tape;
  • sweets in candy wrappers;
  • tinsel.
Fold whatman paper or cardboard into a bag, so that the top hole is minimal. Secure the corner of the Whatman paper with glue or a stapler so that it does not unwind. Cut the bottom of the bag evenly with scissors so that this place is stable and the craft does not wobble, but stands well.

Place the tinsel on the bottom of the cone and secure it with a stapler. If you don’t have such a stationery tool, then you can simply tape it to the top of the tinsel.

The next one from the bottom (second tier) will be made of candies. Place each one on the cardboard base with the tail facing up and secure with tape. The third row consists of tinsel, the 4th row consists of sweets. Using this principle, decorate the entire cone up to the top. Place 3 candies on the top of the forest beauty’s head, arranging them in the shape of a star.

Such a Christmas tree is made from nothing but sweets and only tinsel. There are many options for making such a tree. It is best to take round candies, but, in the absence of such, rectangular ones will do. The main thing is that they are wrapped in a candy wrapper with tails - with one or two.

Fluffy Christmas tree

But such a snow-white beauty can be obtained from ordinary cotton pads. After all, a DIY Christmas tree can be made from different materials. If you want it to be about 50 cm high, then take whatman paper in format A 2. In addition to it, you will need:
  • 4 packs of cotton pads, 120 pieces each;
  • glue gun;
  • stapler;
  • scissors.

In order for the snow-white beauty to turn out neat, the cotton pads must be stitched along the edge, so buy just these.

Make a cone as described earlier in the article about a candy tree. Now take a cotton pad, fold it in half, and then in half again. To prevent the workpiece from opening, fasten its corner with a stapler. The video at the end of the article will help you see in more detail how to make a Christmas tree with your own hands. It shows how to fasten cotton pads to form the desired blanks.

Take the first one, coat its double fold side with glue, and attach it to the bottom of the cone. Attach the second piece in the same way; it should be located close to the first. This will form the bottom of the cone, then proceed to the second row, located above the first. The higher you glue the cotton pads, the less of them are required. When the cone turns into a fluffy snow-white beauty, decorate it. To do this, glue shiny sequins - round or in the shape of stars. Decorate the top of the tree with tinsel or insert the leg of a five-pointed star into the small upper hole of the cone.

Christmas tree made of money

This option will be an original, win-win gift and will appeal to anyone. Depending on the income of the donor, you can make a small or larger tree. It is not necessary to attach high denomination bills. You can buy or print banknotes yourself on a photocopier and decorate your New Year’s tree in this way. Nowadays they sell napkins with a picture of dollars on them, so you can make your own Christmas trees like this. Napkins without a pattern will also make a fluffy and beautiful tree for the New Year.

The base to which you will attach the money can be purchased at a florist store. They sell cone-shaped foam blanks. Or make a cone yourself - from thick cardboard or polystyrene foam. Banknotes must be new and in good shape.

Take the first one, fold its two small sides together so that the bill is folded in half, but do not mark the place of the fold. Attach the piece to the cone at the corners with two sewing pins. Pin the second bill next to it. Having made the tier of the bottom row, arrange the banknotes of the second in a checkerboard pattern relative to the bills of the 1st row.

Decorate the entire Christmas tree this way. To secure it, pierce the bottom of the foam or foam cone with a sharp wooden skewer. Place a round block cut from polystyrene foam at the bottom of a decorative flower pot. Insert the second end of the skewer into its center. Next, you can decorate the craft as you wish. But such a money tree looks great anyway. It is enough to attach a star to its upper part, and the creation is ready.

To make a New Year's star, cut out 2 identical blanks from colored cardboard. Lubricate their undersides with glue and place them on one toothpick. Place the blanks with the adhesive sides facing each other. Once the star is dry, it will be easy to attach it to the top of the tree using a toothpick.

If you are not using real money, then you can glue it to the base, attach it with tape. The photo clearly demonstrates how such a New Year tree is made. Choose the option you like best from those offered and get creative.

Roll each bill into a little bag and secure it with a stapler; the excess part of the banknotes can be trimmed. Starting from the bottom, cover the cone-shaped blank with banknotes to the top. A Christmas tree is made from paper napkins in the same way.

To implement the next option, take a bill, place it horizontally in front of you, and pinch its left edge with your fingers. Starting from here, trace the money with a lying pencil. Soon it will become twisted on this side. Then attach the bills to the base of the tree (to the cone) with the edge by which you held the bills when rolling.

These are the kind of Christmas trees you can make from money, and then present one of them to your boss and put it in the office as a symbol of the company’s wealth and prosperity in the future. A tree made from cotton pads or pasta can be taken as a craft to a kindergarten or elementary school. A Christmas tree made of sweets and mastic will decorate the table, and its elements will be eaten with pleasure as a dessert during the New Year celebration.

Video on how to make an elegant Christmas tree with your own hands from cotton pads:

The abundance of materials in our time leaves enormous scope for any imagination and bold decision.

In this master class, you will not only learn, but also how you can decorate it so that it brings financial well-being all year long!

DIY money tree

We will need very few materials:

1. Sheet of paper (A2 format);
2. PVA glue;
3. Scissors;
4. Pencil;
5. Eraser (optional);
6. Lumograph;
7. Thread (burlap);
8. Cardboard with golden coating (A4 format).

Now we tune in to positive thoughts and begin work. Otherwise, the Christmas tree will not bring the desired result and joy next year.

1. Take A2 paper and draw a semicircle on it (you can draw it by hand, since minor irregularities will not be noticeable).

2. Cut out a semicircle with scissors.

3. Roll the paper into a cone (we will have a small hole at the top). Glue the edges together.

4. This is how we should get the base for the Christmas tree.

5. Apply a small amount of glue to the top.

6. Cut the thread (burlap) into small pieces and carefully, one by one, glue each one from edge to edge of the top (vertically). We make sure that each thread sticks well to the paper.

8. On the back side of the cardboard we draw circles of different diameters (using a lumograph). We start from small ones and end with larger ones. After which, we cut out each circle.

9. We start the tree again and wrap the top horizontally.

10. Apply glue gradually to each section of paper and wrap it with thread. After the threads have dried, we straighten the base of the tree with scissors (if necessary).

11. Glue the circles onto the Christmas tree.

12. In this case, they will play the role of coins, which will attract money.

13. Draw two identical stars. Glue them together and cut off the gaps of white paper.

14. We push the star into the top.

The money tree is ready. Also, if desired, instead of golden paper, you can use coins printed on a printer, and finally sprinkle them with glitter. Don't be afraid of your ideas and create for your own pleasure.

Christmas tree made from banknotes - DIY holiday gifts

On the eve of the New Year holidays, store shelves are filled with all kinds of artificial Christmas trees, which will no longer surprise anyone. Our option - a Christmas tree made from banknotes will be an excellent replacement for a factory-made spruce, because it is creative and original, and also helps to attract wealth into the house.

To make such a Christmas tree, you can use two methods. The first method - using a cone - is suitable for those who are working with paper bills for the first time. The second method is simpler, but requires the necessary skills from the master. Let's describe both methods in more detail.

Christmas tree made from banknotes. Master class No. 1

Banknotes are glued onto the cone:

To make a cone, take tape, scissors and a plastic bottle.

Cut off the bottom and neck of the bottle.

Roll up the cone and secure it with tape.

All that remains is to align the edges of the cone so that it can stand straight.

We attach a “cap” of slightly larger diameter to the base of the cone. In this case, we cut the bottom off a plastic yogurt jar.

We make a hole in the bottom and insert a flat, dry branch into it. We decorate the upper end of the branch - the top of the Christmas tree - with a ball. All elements are fixed using a glue gun.

We decorate the base of the Christmas tree with metallized ribbon - we make a “skirt”.

Now you can start covering the cone with banknotes. Since the bills are quite large - similar to real ones - we will have to trim them down a little, giving the bill the shape of an irregular pentagon.

You can make 2 blanks from one bill. The workpiece is rolled up into a ball, the edges of which are glued together.

We take the cone and from the bottom up we begin to paste it with money blanks.

How to make a Christmas tree out of money? Master class No. 2

Without using a cone:

If you have worked at least once in your life on making crafts from paper bills, try to assemble the blanks on a regular, but even, dry branch.

We sharpen the edge of the branch - the top of the Christmas tree, so that we can decorate it with a silver ball.

Make sure that all bills are located at the same distance from the branch. For gluing we use a glue gun.

We will seal the bottom of the Christmas tree with a circle of banknotes - both neater and stronger.

It doesn’t matter which option for making a Christmas tree you use, the further steps will be the same:

We select elements for decoration, such as beads.

We secure the decor using hot glue.

We decorate the branch-trunk with ribbon.

Add bows and rhinestones.

We decorate the pot - take any container of suitable size, paint it with silver acrylic paints, sprinkle it with glitter and decorate it with ribbons.

Place stones at the bottom of the pot.

On top of the stones we will pour a construction mixture - sand and cement. Let's put the Christmas tree in the pot strictly vertically, it is advisable to find some kind of support.

When the building mixture has dried, spread it with PVA glue and cover it with decorative soil.

All that remains is to check the fasteners of all the decor.
