Industrial gases are chemicals that are used in technological processes for various purposes. Gases are created by forced reaction chemical substances. At the end of 2016, the global market technical gases in value terms amounted to $83 billion.

The most common industrial gases are:

  • ordinary air. It is based on a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen. Nitrogen is used as a refrigerant and for cryotherapy in medicine (destruction of cells by freezing).   • helium. It has no toxic properties, is a light gas, does not burn, and has superfluidity. Used in metallurgy for smelting high-quality pure metal,

Industrial gases are transported to consumers through pipelines or special cylinders.

Production of industrial gases

Technical gases are obtained by combining chemicals. Oxygen and nitrogen are often used for this.

To obtain atmospheric industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen and argon), air separation technology is used. Cryogenic air separation involves passing it through multi-stage purification equipment.

The short-cycle adsorption method is based on the selective absorption of the required gas by adsorbents.

Membrane gas separation technology dates back to the 1970s. The high efficiency and cost-effectiveness of this technology made it an excellent alternative to the first two methods.

Hydrogen is produced by steam reforming and electrolysis using special equipment.

The choice of LPG can be divided into two groups. In the unambiguous top will be the leading manufacturers of LPG systems (all, as has historically happened, with Italian roots). They either completely produce all the components for installation kits, or use third-party parts to a minimum (most often these are electronic control units). The resulting kit is quite expensive, but reliable and of high quality.

But there are also many companies that produce exclusively individual gas equipment parts - for example, from high-quality Hana injectors to Chinese “no-name”. So it is not surprising that assembly companies appear that simply assemble kits from various parts. Without the need to create a network of branded representative offices and authorized services, which gives a significant increase in the prices of kits from top-level brands, assembly companies can additionally save on the parts themselves. More critical ones can be purchased at a higher price, and less critical ones can be purchased cheaper. As a result, such a whale will be noticeably more attractive in price. And, by the way, as is the case with manufacturers of HBO systems high class, here the geography is also quite defined: most of the order pickers Russian market originally from Poland.

If the opening time of standard gasoline injectors at idle is less than 2 milliseconds, the “brains” of the gas injector must be able to calibrate the opening/closing time of the gas injectors, otherwise rebuild idling it'll be hard. Don’t forget about the ignition variator: gas burns completely differently than gasoline, and at “gasoline” ignition angles it will burn out already in the exhaust manifold, overheating the catalyst and exhaust valves. In addition, the ignition variator also provides a noticeable increase in dynamics.
