Update 2.6.7

Note: Changes will affect all versions of Diablo III - PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC - unless otherwise noted. Please note that only PC and Mac users can participate in the PTR testing.

General

  • Greater Rift stones can now be collected automatically.
  • A California Consumer Privacy Act notice has been added to the Privacy section of the Settings menu. Details about the California Consumer Privacy Act are provided (console only).

Seasons

  • Developer Comment: One of the most common themes that came up in player feedback regarding the buff of Season 18 was that the Will of the Church of Three bonus would sometimes stop working. In Season 19, we changed our approach to developing bonuses and reached a new level: we experimented with new elements of game mechanics, introduced the ability to increase the strength of heroes, and made battles more unpredictable. The gameplay will be somewhat similar to Pandemonium, and players will need to decide whether they want to receive a bonus for a specific kill streak or whether they want to constantly eliminate opponents and maintain the effect.   • Developer Comment: With Patch 2.6.7, we're starting to introduce new class loadouts for all heroes in Diablo III. In addition, players are attracted not only by glory - during the season, special “legendaries” drop out, which are not yet available in a regular game. At the end of the season they will begin to fall out there too.

Stybr is a unique goblin monster: he doesn’t even give change, he just runs away as fast as he can.

By and large, the seasons are not good for the clothes and the competitive element. Something else is important. The game in the early stages is the most emotional: you constantly receive rewards for your actions, and enemies constantly rain down the most useful things. In addition, the characteristics of skills change from patch to patch, so leveling up a character of the same class at the start of sales Reaper of Souls and is now noticeably different. Abilities that were previously useless suddenly become relevant.

For example, now there is a terribly popular reaper-sorcerer build (I’ve already built it before), with which even the maximum difficulty is not terrible. But another reaper is boring, so I decided to “collect” a sorcerer-summoner, instead of whom hordes of his henchmen fight. And I suddenly liked this build even more. If it weren't for the season, would the players dare to experiment like this?

Portal Majesty

How to get pro players to compete with each other? What super task should I set for them? Blizzard came up with the concept Great Portals— dungeons that must be run at speed. This is where the “Steed” skill comes in handy for any crusader! If you destroy a certain number of monsters and the boss within 15 minutes, you will be able to enter a stronger portal. The higher the level of the portal (there are 100 in total), the better the reward. In terms of difficulty, Torment 6 corresponds to approximately 25-30 levels of Great Portals! Naturally, Blizzard has tables with the results of the fastest passage of the most brutal portals.

The portal guardian is almost defeated, now the main thing is not to get hit by a rockfall.

Another innovation associated with portals is legendary gems. Each of these stones (there are 14 of them so far; can only be inserted into rings and amulets) has a unique property that can be developed. But there is a catch: after passing the Great Portal, you can either open access to the next one or improve the stone.

At level 25, the gem gains an additional property that turns such stones into perhaps the most powerful items in the game. And, most importantly, they fit perfectly into a variety of builds, making them even more effective.

The choice is difficult. But, in any case, improvements to gems depend on the level of the portal, so it is always beneficial to advance further.

And, of course, the Great Portals are rich in legendary clothes and bloody shards needed for powerful legendary sets. Where would we be without this?

Goblin World

Most of the description of patch 2.1 is devoted to changes to class characters and various set sets. Now each class has the opportunity to assemble builds for types of damage (fire, cold, lightning, poison, etc.) and increase damage by 15-30% due to clothing. Previously, this system was the privilege of wizards and worked on other characters only by accident. Now each class has “favorite” types of damage and combinations of skills for them.

A separate topic is the changes in monks: this class again began to shine not only as a “tank” and a source of buffs for the team, but also as a full-fledged slap-maker. Now I want to play as monks, and not just take them into the party for reasons of “I’ll support my comrades with prayer.”

Well, the highlight of the program was the introduction of the world of greedy goblins. Now, when killing greedy dwarfs, there is a chance (about 1%) that the portal through which the shorties full of trophies are trying to dump into their native dimension will remain open. And inside there are mountains of gold and precious stones and a meeting with Baroness Greed, mistress of the goblins. Personally, I have not been as delighted as this location by any other place in Diablo 3.
