Salad preparation process

It is not advisable to buy white and very attractive-looking fillets. As a rule, it is prepared in China. During the process of factory cutting, the mollusk goes through not only excessive thawing, but also treatment with chemical compounds that give the squid White color and significantly increasing its weight.
To clean squid yourself, just pour boiling water over the carcasses. After that, simply wash off the curdled skin, while simultaneously removing the remaining entrails from the mantle.

2. Cleaned squid needs to be boiled. To do this, place it in a pan of water and bring to a boil. Boil for exactly one minute and remove from heat. Leave the clam to lie in hot water half an hour.

3. After this, cut the cooked squid into thin strips or rings.

4. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

5. Grate the cheese finely.

6. For salad dressing, finely grate the garlic and cucumber. If desired, you can take both fresh and pickled cucumber.

8. Place all the ingredients for the squid salad in a convenient bowl.

Using squid flesh and carrots as the main components, you can prepare various tasty and healthy salads. Both squid and carrots are valuable and very healthy food products, they contain many substances necessary for the human body. Squid contains virtually no fat, and carrots are better digested with fat. Therefore, it is better to make dressings for such salads based on vegetable oil.

Of course, we will need some other ingredients. Retail chains offer squid in the form of small carcasses or large pieces of flesh - both are suitable. In any version (for any salad), the squid must be doused with boiling water and the skin removed; if it is a carcass, then the cartilage must be removed.

Cook the squid in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, no more, otherwise it will become tough. Korean carrots can be bought ready-made in home kitchens and even in large grocery stores, but it’s better to tinker with it yourself. The basic principle of preparing Korean carrots is grating on a special grater and marinating in a mixture of vegetable oil and vinegar with hot red pepper, garlic and coriander (cilantro). Try to avoid using "cyclopean" carrots.

Ingredients:

  • squid flesh (carcasses or pieces) – about 400 g;
  • carrots – about 200 g;
  • red onion – 1-2 pcs.;
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • hot red pepper;
  • ground coriander seed;
  • various fresh greens;
  • natural fruit vinegar.

Preparation

Cut the peeled onion into thin half rings. Grate the peeled carrots using a Korean carrot grater. Mix oil and vinegar in a ratio of 3:1 or 4:1. Add ground coriander, season with crushed garlic and hot red pepper. Marinate onions and carrots with this mixture (in a salad bowl). Let's prepare and cook the squid (see the beginning of the text). Ingredients:

  • squid – about 400 g;
  • carrots – 2 pcs.;
  • chicken egg – 2 pcs.;
  • green onions – 8-10 feathers;
  • cold pressed vegetable oil;
  • lemon;
  • hot red pepper;
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • green cilantro and parsley.

Preparation

Grate the peeled carrots using a Korean carrot grater. Boil the eggs hard, cool and peel. Let's cut or chop. and cut into strips. Chop the greens and onions. Let's combine all this in a salad bowl. Mix oil and vinegar (3:1), season with hot red pepper and crushed garlic. Pour dressing over the salad and mix. Let's stand for 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • squid – about 400 g;
  • nuts (any) – about 100-150 g;
  • carrots – 2 pcs.;

  • natural fruit vinegar;
  • red hot pepper.

Preparation

Prepare the squid, boil it, cool it and cut it into strips or spirals (see above). Grate the carrots on a “Korean” grater. Cut the tomatoes into slices. Chop the nuts with a knife (some types can be added whole). Chop the greens and garlic. Let's combine everything in a salad bowl.

For the dressing, mix vinegar and oil (about 1:4). Season the salad and mix. We don’t add onions - they don’t go well with nuts. Let's wait 10 minutes and you can serve.
