In a modernized version of the tent "LOTOS Cube Professional M" The following changes and additions have been made:

The mechanism for folding the frame arcs (hub) is made of aluminum alloy. The cast aluminum “hub”, with its high rigidity, has a fairly high fragility, which is fraught with breakdowns of this element under increased loads. If the “hub” design is made thicker, this will not lead to a noticeable improvement in strength (voids form in thick-walled cast elements), but will only increase the dimensions and weight of the product.
In order to maximize the strength of this “hub”, it was decided to combine manufacturing materials. The upper part of the “hub”, which bears the maximum load, is reinforced with a 3.0 mm steel plate, this combination creates maximum effect rigidity and strength.
The reinforced “Hub” withstands very high mechanical and temperature loads and becomes one of the strongest, most reliable and durable elements in the tent.

How to upgrade the first version of the LOTUS Cube Professional tent? (production until 02.2015)


A feature of all improvements is full compatibility updated elements with the first 2014 model. This allows users who purchased the first version to replace the necessary components, while the cost of all replaced elements will not be more difference in cost between the modernized LOTOS Cube Professional M and the first basic version of 2014.


In order to replace the “12 mm tube with spring” element with a new “14 mm tube with spring” you must:

  • Remove the old tube from the tent. To do this, you first need to pull the rod out of the tube as shown in the video. Then disconnect the tube from the awning by drilling or cutting off (with wire cutters) the rivet holding the tube in the awning sleeve.

  • Attach the new tube to the canopy sleeve using a wire clip secured to the tube. In this case, the tube must be inserted into the tent sleeve as far as it will go.

  • Insert the rod into the tube as shown in the video.

In order to strengthen the “hubs”, it is enough to secure the plate as shown in Figure No. 3.
When installing the plate on the “hub”, it is necessary to press it very tightly to the surface of the “hub” with a fixing nut. There should be no gap left between the plate and the hub. To securely fix the nut, it is recommended to use a second locknut.

Steel grade 65Mn (65MN Carbon steel) - analogous to 65G. This is tool carbon steel. Has the ability to withstand shock loads. The hardness of steel 65Mn is 50-53HRC.
Class: structural spring steel.

Nickel Plated is a coating, literally - galvanic nickel or nickel applied by galvanic means. Nickel coatings have high corrosion resistance, high hardness and good decorative properties.

Spring button latches can be manufactured depending on their environment further use, or from structural spring steel with nickel electroplated coated or stainless steel. At the same time, stainless steel spring buttons must be used in products that will come into contact with sea water - oars, masts for yachts, etc. In all other cases, it is recommended to use spring steel fasteners.

In pipes of smaller and larger diameters, one is drilled at a distance of 20-40 mm from the edge, if a spring with one button is used,or two - in the case of using a spring with two buttons, a hole with a diameter of 0.1-0.2 mm larger than the diameter of the button of the spring used.

The spring is inserted into a pipe of smaller diameter, so that the button looks out of the hole.Next, a pipe with a larger diameter is put on a pipe of a smaller diameter. We press the spring button and press it down, aligning the holes of both pipes.
