Oil consumption for lubricating the chainsaw chain. Chainsaw chain lubrication oil. Which one and when to pour? What is the oil consumption for lubricating a chainsaw chain?

A very common question when selling a chainsaw is: “What kind of oil should I use to lubricate the chain?”. The most common answer: “Anything except working out.” This is absolutely true, but there are some nuances... For example, sellers often offer to buy chain lubricating oils from chainsaw manufacturers or those designed specifically for these purposes. This usually makes sense at low temperatures or when you are concerned about protecting the environment.

Chain oil

In other cases, it is quite possible to replace the chain lubrication oil with any other oil other than working oil. However, there is one more nuance... Users often have a question: “Why is the oil consumption for chain lubrication more than fuel mixture? After all, their consumption is related to each other? Here it is worth considering that chainsaw manufacturers calculate the oil consumption for lubricating the chain when filling in their branded oil. And the consumption of any other may differ either less or more.

On many chainsaws, starting from semi-professional ones, it is possible to adjust the oil flow rate for chain lubrication. This is done by adjusting the performance of the oil pump.

If such adjustment is not provided, then the settings come initially from the manufacturer. How to check whether the oil consumption for lubricating the chain on your chainsaw is normal? It is necessary to start the saw, give it gas and bring it to a board, log or other surface that is horizontal. A running chain should scatter oil particles to lubricate the chain and leave a thin, even oil trail.

When to use special chain oil

The use of special oils for chain lubrication will be justified in the following cases:

  • You have a new chainsaw under warranty and to preserve it you must use oils recommended by the chainsaw manufacturer. Otherwise, if, for example, the oil pump fails, the repair will not be carried out under warranty. This is especially true for expensive professional chainsaws.
  • Do you respect environment and prefer not to pollute it once again. In this case, oils with the prefix “bio” are suitable.
  • When working at critical temperatures.

Let's look at several types of oils from different manufacturers and sort them by price category, environmental friendliness and container volume.

Select for chainsaw

Any two-stroke chainsaw engine runs on a mixture of gasoline and oil, so how long it will last depends on the properties and correct consistency of these components. Also in chainsaws you need to lubricate the bar and chain, and the quality of the lubrication is not the last factor influencing the duration of use of these parts of the chainsaw. In this article we will talk about the oils that Shtil produces and recommends for use not only on chainsaws of its own production.

Stihl lubricant for two-stroke engines

Stihl engineers develop oils that are suitable for all two-stroke engines installed on Stihl chainsaws and trimmers and more. The Stihl line of lubricants for two-stroke engines contains several product options:

How to dilute gasoline with oil for a chainsaw. How to dilute gasoline for a chainsaw? Gasoline with the highest octane number is used as fuel for chainsaws: AI-92, or AI-95. Dilute gasoline for a chainsaw to 1 liter of gasoline, add 30 g of special motor oil. The purchased mixture is poured into a special fuel compartment. To develop...

To understand which chainsaw oil to use, you need to understand the operating principle of the tool and its characteristics. The chainsaw has become an essential tool in everyday life. modern man. And for proper operation, like any tool, it needs timely inspection and maintenance. A chainsaw is, in principle, an unpretentious tool. And it does not require large expenses. Just look at the ratio of the required oil to fuel, equal to 1:40.

It is necessary to determine the type of chainsaw to select oil.

On the modern market, the range of tools is very wide. Domestic and foreign manufacturers produce 2- and 4-stroke engines for chainsaws. Oil consumption in a chainsaw directly depends on the engine used. Many devices are usually imported manufacturers, it is recommended to lubricate only with branded oils.

IN various types engines have a torque characteristic. The fact is that oil is used to reduce tool wear by covering the friction points of parts with lubricant. Such actions can significantly increase the service life of the tool. But the fact is that the higher the torque, the less the effect of lubrication and, accordingly, it is necessary to use the best lubricant. Average torque values for different chainsaws vary from 8500 rpm to 11-13 thousand for powerful representatives.

Before you start adding oil, you need to warm up the chainsaw.

It is also important to evaluate where the tool is stored. When storing a chainsaw in an unheated room at low temperatures, it is necessary to warm it up before using it. Low temperatures negatively affect the operation of mechanisms and the consumption of fuels and lubricants. The crystallization process begins, which sharply reduces the effectiveness of the lubricant, making the oil less viscous.

When preparing a mixture of oil and fuel, it is necessary to maintain the recommended proportion. It is specified by the product manufacturer. As a rule, for older models of domestic brands they use AI-76 gasoline (which, by the way, is no longer particularly sold) with ordinary oil, which is widely used to lubricate motorcycle parts. The proportions are approximately 1:25. Imported chainsaws and the latest domestic models of chainsaws have increased requirements for the quality of the mixture. Usually this is AI-95 or AI-92 gasoline and branded oils. Recommended proportions 1:40. For chainsaws with low power You can use almost everything on the market. However, for high-power devices, it is recommended to be more careful in your selection.

First of all, we should not forget the fact that during a heavy work cycle, that is, the saw is working at its limit, the oil is consumed no later than 30 minutes. after starting work, after which you need to pour the additive again. This is typical for almost all devices of this type.

Classification of oils

Motor oils come in different bases and different compositions.

Basically, the choice of oil directly depends on the operating conditions of the chainsaw. In summer and warm periods, mineral ones perform well; in winter and cold periods, synthetics and semi-synthetics are the best. Moreover, the letter S in the name means specialization for use in the summer. The letter W is for winter. All oils can be classified according to their composition. There are:

  1. Synthetic.
  2. Semi-synthetic.
  3. Mineral.

Some of the synthetic types can be used at temperatures down to minus 40°C. Semi-synthetics are suitable for average temperatures, from approximately minus 30° to plus 20-25°C. Some manufacturers use special additives to improve the properties of materials. They change the characteristics of a particular oil. This allows it to be adapted to necessary conditions operation.

Different engines vary quite a lot in oil consumption rates. If a 4-stroke engine is used, due to its design, no residues are created in the combustion chamber. In a 2-stroke engine, for a similar effect it is necessary to use a separate oil. An important factor The key to avoiding soot residue in a chainsaw is to match the ingredient and fuel used.

Consequences that may result from using non-certified oil

Now it’s worth looking directly at the types of chainsaw chain lubrication. Professionals recommend lubricating the chain only with special oils produced by recognized oil manufacturers. This applies to both gasoline saws and electric saws. In no case is it allowed to use the so-called “working off” (waste machine or motorcycle). The fact is that the gas pump, which supplies additional fuel for better work system, if used in this way, it may become clogged and become unusable. This can cause serious damage to the instrument.

Filtration is sometimes used in an attempt to remove impurities from used oil. This cannot serve as a good lubricant, since the ability to use the chainsaw at high speeds is lost. Poor quality oil does not ensure sufficient quality of contact between the elements of the saw and the bar. Sparks begin to appear and severe wear occurs on the moving parts of the saw. You should also not save, since if there is a shortage, the circuit begins to heat up greatly. When the saw overheats, the level of edge hardness decreases sharply. This saw will have to be sharpened more often. And constant sharpening of the tool can lead to its immediate failure at the most inopportune moment.

It is also advisable to use fresh fuels and lubricants; the oil should not be expired. Because this can lead to looping of the tool. When storing a chainsaw for a long time, it is recommended to operate the tool on high speed until fully depleted combustible mixture. The remaining mixture in the instrument during long-term storage deteriorates and clogs the instrument. If you do not follow this rule, problems may subsequently arise when using a chainsaw.

It makes sense to have several chains with you.

The chain can fail even if used correctly.

Using even high-quality oil does not completely eliminate the possibility of sudden breakdown. And it is necessary to have oil for topping up. Oil consumption in cold or severe conditions long work may increase sharply. To prevent this from happening during operation, it is recommended to let the chain cool and periodically lubricate it.

Chainsaws, as a rule, have a two-stroke or four-stroke engine and two tanks, one of which is filled with fuel, that is, gasoline, and the second should be filled with oil, which is used to lubricate the saw chain. The volume of a gasoline tank can include 0.3-1.0 liters of a mixture of fuel and oil, and an oil tank has a volume that is actually 2 times smaller.

How is a chainsaw used?

A ratio of oil and fuel volumes is used in which the lubricant will be consumed when lubricating the chain at the same time, namely after 30-45 minutes of operating time, provided the chainsaw is fully loaded. If the engine is two-stroke, then it most requires the use of a pre-prepared fuel mixture to lubricate the chain.

The specifics of saw operation are determined by seasonality. When a two-stroke engine operates, its cycle differs from the cycle of a four-stroke tool engine. Using a mixture of gasoline and oil to lubricate some structural elements chainsaw, such as a piston or shaft, is one of the main points. Otherwise, an attempt to use a tool that runs only on gasoline, and not on oil, will not lead to a positive result, but only to damage to the tool.

You can use domestic tools using 76 grade gasoline simultaneously with oil, the ratio of which to fuel is taken to be 1/25, that is, in an amount of 4%. If you use a saw model from foreign manufacturers, you will need 92 grade gasoline with branded oils.

These oils are created by chainsaw manufacturers, and the ratio in the required consistencies is 2.5%, 1:40. Two-stroke engines can be installed on foreign-made chainsaws, but it must be taken into account that gasoline must be purified and free of impurities.

It is possible to select oil based on the engine, the number of cycles of which can reach 8.5 thousand/min. Chainsaws from foreign manufacturers provide cycles that can reach power in the range from 11 to 14 thousand / min. The use of these lubricants reduces the service life of the saw by 7-10%, which boils down to the following: the use of “Zhiguli” oils is suitable for all types of household and special chainsaws.

If the tool is used at low temperatures, then even the correct choice of lubricant components does not bring the quality of the oil mixed with fuel to a positive result, that is, crystallization processes and an increase in viscosity occur. With all this, the tool must be adapted to the application, taking into account maximum engine warm-up.

If you follow the recommendations, the chainsaw must be warmed up before use, especially if it was stored in a cold room that is not heated. This will prevent negative results if condensation occurs in the saw mechanism.

What kind of oil is used in a chainsaw?

The lifespan of a chainsaw is determined by the type of lubricant used when working with the equipment. A saw with a two-stroke engine and a fuel tank are used in accordance with the instructions. Often the fuel mixture is made by mixing gasoline and oil, which are combined in a certain ratio. This information must be indicated by the manufacturer in the appropriate instructions.

If the equipment is domestically manufactured, then gasoline of the AI-76 grade is usually used, as well as ordinary motorcycle oil. The proportions in which gasoline and oil are taken are 1/25. If chainsaws are used foreign made, then the requirements will be different. They come down to the use of gasoline with an octane rating of 95 and 92, while at the same time using a special oil suitable for these types of fuel.

Mix oil with fuel in a ratio of 1/40. It is suitable to use measuring cans, which help to greatly simplify the process of making the fuel mixture. The use of foreign-made tools requires appropriate refueling with motorcycle oils.

It should be taken into account that certain types of foreign-made lubricants can be used when working with chainsaws, the cycle of which is 8.5 thousand per minute. Basically, a tool with an oscillation cycle in the range of 11-14 thousand/min is used. The use of foreign oils in such saws causes a reduction in motor life by an average of 8%. If the chainsaw is running on full power, then the lubricant is consumed half an hour after it is turned on.

Experienced professionals recommend using one part of the fuel mixture for two weeks, because otherwise chemical reaction. In this case, oil can lose all its properties, and gasoline is capable of oxidation. As a result, parts become clogged, the engine overheats and the CPG jams. The type of oils poured into the tool must be carefully controlled.

What kind of oil should be poured into the tank of a chainsaw?

Two-stroke engine diagram.

When lubricating chainsaw chain links, the compound is poured into a special container. Its use helps reduce the friction force that occurs between the tire and chain links. The use of special oils with a viscous consistency to lubricate the chainsaw chain will give positive results and provide long term inventory services. If this substance is not available, motor oil will do.

Choose suitable oil, which allows you to properly lubricate the chain, should depend on the time of year when it will be used. Thus, in the summer, mineral oils are best suited, the disadvantage of which is the crystallization of the structure of the substance at low temperatures. Therefore, in winter, experts recommend using oils with special additives, which are synthetic, which makes them less viscous. This makes it possible to use the saw at low temperatures, in other words down to -40°C.

The use of semi-synthetics seems to be more suitable option when using the saw at moderate temperatures, ranging from -30 to +25°C.

It is strictly not recommended to pour recycled machine oils into the tank to lubricate the chainsaw chain.

Such oils can be highly oxidized, and this is due to the presence of impurities in them, which can cause damage to the chainsaw. However, sometimes when operating saws, transmission or motor oils are poured into them, which is acceptable.

Motor oils, suitable not only for two-stroke, but also for four-stroke engines, are made from base oil and additional substances, that is, additives, which can be different. Various solvents can be used as additives to improve the process of mixing oils and fuel, their pumpability, possible way spraying.

Conditions for using oils in chainsaws

Chainsaws operating at high temperatures, can function efficiently due to oils equipped with iron additives. Their main property is to provide lubrication at elevated temperatures.

When the engine operates this way, it is not run-in. The use of a chainsaw with a four-stroke engine with suitable oil, provided it is completely burned, does not involve any special requirements.

Choosing oil for different types of chainsaw engines

To lubricate the motors of tools with a two-stroke engine, a burning fuel solution is used, since oil is not used in the fuel composition. If we take into account the differences between the types of oils used in different engines, for example four-stroke or two-stroke, then there is a difference in the methods of their consumption.

The high-quality operation of a chainsaw with a four-stroke engine is due to the absence of oil in the combustion chamber, therefore various types motors are presented different requirements. For example, two-stroke engines are usually filled with oil, the combustion of which does not result in carbon deposits.

A chainsaw with a four-stroke engine can operate for a long time as a result of lubrication with oil, which does not have special requirements regarding its complete combustion. You can select additives without taking into account the ash content, the level of which should be more than 2%.

If the chainsaw is equipped with a two-stroke engine that runs on oils suitable for four-stroke engines, ash will eventually settle on the walls in the combustion chamber. Ash may remain on the surface of the piston, and an abrasive powder is also formed, acting on the saw piston like sandpaper.

Parts of the design of the instrument are erased and the period of its use is reduced. The presence of settled soot after the end of oil use causes harm to the tool, which can lose quality of work due to loss of power in its motor.

If soot is deposited in the exhaust openings, then their cross-sectional area decreases, which is associated with difficulties during the release of exhaust gases and loss of power. If ash is deposited on the cylinder piston, as well as on its head, then detonation and drip ignition occurs. All this leads to a decrease in the power of the saw, which reduces its useful life.

Two types of oil are made for chainsaws, one of which is suitable for creating a fuel mixture. In this case, 92 grade gasoline is taken in a ratio of 50 parts gasoline to 1 part oil (Super 95) used when operating a two-stroke engine, respectively. Different manufacturers of chainsaws produce oil for them under different brands, of which there are a sufficient number. So, 5 liters of gasoline are usually mixed with 100 ml of the substance. If you use one that is not suitable for the tool model being used, this will lead to damage to the saw and rapid wear.

Unsuitable oil poured into the saw may simply settle in the cylinder on its walls if it entered the combustion chamber but did not have time to burn. This approach to using a chainsaw leads to a slow reduction in the life of the tool or its trimmer. If the total operating life of a chainsaw is 400 operating hours, then this figure can be reduced to 200 operating hours.

Lubricate saw chain follows a special adhesive oil, which must be poured into the saw tank provided for this purpose. After turning on the saw, it is pumped up by a special pump in automatic mode, after which the chain is lubricated.

In a chainsaw canister, which includes two containers, you can pour 6 liters of fuel mixture and 2.5 liters of oil. Having changed this ratio, pour in 5 liters of the fuel mixture and 3 liters of adhesive oil, the consumption of which will be 1 liter for a fuel mixture with a volume of 1.6-2.4 liters.

Recommendations for the use of special oils for chainsaw chains

The saw bar and chain should be lubricated with special oil; other types of this substance are not suitable for this purpose. If they are used, the oil pump may fail, since it is equipped with a self-lubrication system for high quality work. Using used, including filtered, oil compounds in a chainsaw means interfering with the tool’s ability to reach high speeds.

The chain requires proper storage, which involves immersing it in oil. If the saw bar is worn out, then you should not put a new chain on it. It is important to have a chain in stock, and it is best to purchase several chains at once. The optimal number of chains in stock is 4 pieces, which allows you to work with them in order and periodically sharpen each of them. This ensures a reduced level of wear on each of the components, that is, the tire, chain and drive sprocket.

One intended operation with the tool requires the preparation of a certain amount of fuel mixture. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to operate a chainsaw without oil poured into the tank. When refueling the saw, you should immediately provide the required amount of fuel, which should be used to lubricate the bar and chain. The main thing is that its composition is purified, without foreign impurities, water, sand, debris, etc.

Refueling of tanks should be carried out simultaneously, that is, oil is poured together with the fuel mixture into different tanks. Air temperature should be taken into account. If the temperature is below -20°C, then it must be diluted with dehydrated kerosene, taking into account the ratio of 4:1, that is, 1 part of kerosene is added to 4 parts. If there is an adjustment for oil supply, make it maximum.

Chainsaw owners know very well how to fill a chainsaw with gasoline. But for those who are just buying such equipment and do not know how to use it correctly, you need to know that you cannot simply take and pour gasoline into the tank - as a result of such an erroneous action, your chainsaw will fail in a short time. The reason is very simple - for two-stroke engines, which are installed on chainsaws, there is no separate lubrication system. It is necessary to dilute gasoline for a chainsaw with motor oil in a special proportion.

Gasoline engine design for chain saws

Chainsaws, like most other similar equipment, use two-stroke internal combustion engines. Their main advantage over four-stroke engines that are used in cars is the fact that for 2-stroke engines it is possible to produce one and a half times more power with the same volume. But there are also disadvantages - chainsaw oil must be added directly to the fuel tank, which increases oil consumption. As a result, the mixture of oil and gasoline, when burned in the working chamber, turns into oil mist, which settles on the cylinder walls and lubricates the elements of the connecting rod and piston group.

Oil for 2-stroke chainsaw engines is diluted in a certain proportion with gasoline and poured into the tank. When the gasoline in the tank runs out, it is necessary to prepare a new mixture. However, you cannot use car oil in a chainsaw - special oil for two-stroke engines is required.

What kind of oil to put in a chainsaw?

The use of oils that are used in car engines is strictly prohibited - you need a special two-stroke chainsaw oil recommended by the manufacturer. Manufacturers themselves do not produce lubricants, with rare exceptions, but they cooperate with all well-known brands and often offer their products under their own label. Therefore, in the passport you will definitely find a mention of which 2-stroke chainsaw oil is suitable for this specific model.

  • classification TA, TB and TC (TSC-1/2/3) according to the American API standard.
  • 2t chainsaw oil of the Japanese JASO standard, corresponding to classes FA, FB and FC;
  • oil of the European ISO standard, EGB and EGC classes.

As for domestically produced chainsaws, high-quality oil is also recommended for them. If it is not possible to purchase it, you can use a lubricant intended for 2-stroke motorcycle engines.

What kind of gasoline should I put in my chainsaw?

Manufacturers strongly recommend using only high-quality gasoline for chainsaws, with an octane rating of at least 92 and an ethanol content of no more than 10%. It is not recommended to use opaque gasoline containing impurities - they will quickly clog fuel system and engine.

IMPORTANT: the gasoline mixture for a chainsaw does not have to be prepared immediately before pouring it into the tank - this can be done in advance. Moreover, many manufacturers produce ready-made containers with several compartments, for example, for gasoline and oil or gasoline, oil and a ready-made mixture, and also complete such containers with a special measuring syringe. With its help, oil is drawn into the chainsaw in the proportion required. But if the mixture is prepared in advance, then its maximum storage period should not exceed 10 days - over time, the octane number of gasoline decreases, and due to the fact that some of the gasoline from the mixture evaporates, the proportion of oil and gasoline for the chainsaw changes.

Is it possible to put 95 gasoline into a chainsaw?

Almost 75% of manufacturers indicate in the chainsaw data sheet that it is necessary to use AI-92 gasoline. Those owners of such equipment who encounter it for the first time and do not know what kind of gasoline is needed for a chainsaw draw parallels with car engines and conclude that the higher the octane number, the better. As a result, not understanding how to properly dilute gasoline for a chainsaw, they dilute oil and AI-95 gasoline.

The thing is that increasing the octane number is achieved by introducing various additives into gasoline, as is done in AI-95 and AI-98 gasoline. For two-stroke engines, additives are harmful due to their special design, so you need to use AI-92 gasoline, especially in our country. Firstly, it is correct and will extend the life of the motor, and secondly, it is cheaper. But for some manufacturers, for example for Stihl, you can also use AI-95, but it is better to buy it at good, proven gas stations.

How to dilute gasoline for a chainsaw?

Before adding fuel to the tank, you need to prepare the gasoline mixture. The ratio of oil and gasoline for a chainsaw is regulated in strict proportions - as a rule, they are indicated in the operating manual. If you do not know how much oil to pour into gasoline for a domestically produced chainsaw, it is recommended to use a ratio of 1:15 - 1:20. That is, for 1 liter of gasoline, use 50-70 ml of oil.

As for imported equipment, the proportions are completely different. For example, how to dilute gasoline with oil for Husqvarna chainsaws 2 kW power? To do this, we look at the instructions and see that the manufacturer recommends using a proportion of 1:50, i.e. For 1 liter of gasoline, no more than 20 ml of oil is used. If you don’t have a passport (lost, torn, etc.), use the Internet or contact a service center - this way you will find out exactly how much oil you need to put into the gasoline for your chainsaw. An increased amount of oil threatens increased carbon deposits and clogging of the cylinder, which will lead to broken piston rings and reduced compression; moreover, it is expensive. If the amount of chainsaw oil in the mixture is low, this will lead to overheating of the engine and a sharp reduction in its service life.

If you don’t know how much oil to pour into a Chinese chainsaw, and you don’t have a passport at hand, then this proportion is approximately 1:25, that is, 40 ml of oil per 1 liter of gasoline. In general, the amount of oil directly depends on the layout - the more tightly all the components are installed, the less oil is needed.

Before preparing a gasoline mixture for a chainsaw, you must first pour gasoline into the canister, and only then add oil, nothing else. Otherwise, the more viscous oil will stick to the walls and bottom of the canister and dissolve less easily, which will disrupt the correct proportions of gasoline and chainsaw oil.

Choosing oil to lubricate a chainsaw chain

In addition to the motor, the chainsaw has one more important node with many moving parts - a chain. It is not motor oil that is used here, but chainsaw oil - it is cheaper and has completely different properties.

What oil to use for a chainsaw chain depends on its “age”. If your chainsaw is new and under warranty, you will have to use ONLY branded oils recommended by the manufacturer. Otherwise, if the saw fails, the service center will immediately remove it from the warranty, because the use of lubricants that do not meet the manufacturer’s requirements is a violation of operating conditions. On the other hand, branded oils are really high quality:

  • allow you to work in a wide temperature range from -30 to +50 C,
  • high adhesion improves the “sticking” of oil to the chain and reduces its consumption;
  • additives reduce friction and extend the life of the chain.

If the saw is out of warranty and purchasing branded chain saw oil is not within your budget, you can use any transmission or engine oil. It is advisable to change it 2 times a year: in winter use thinner oil, in summer - thicker.

Which oil to lubricate a chainsaw chain also depends on the wood you will be working with. For dry wood, gear oil is recommended; for wet wood, it is better to use some kind of diesel engine oil.

How to adjust the oil supply to a chainsaw chain?

If the oil supply to the chain is incorrectly adjusted, the chain may overheat (insufficient supply) or increased oil consumption and contamination of the wood with oil (too much supply). Therefore, adjusting the oil supply to the chainsaw chain is a very important process, since both the consumption of the oil itself and the long-term operation of the chainsaw itself depend on it.

How oil is supplied to the chainsaw chain depends on the position of the oil pump plunger adjustment screw. The factory setting is for the screw to be in the middle position. To reduce the oil supply, you need to turn it to the “-” mark, to increase it – to the “+” mark.

Why doesn't oil flow to the chainsaw chain?

If oil does not flow to the chainsaw chain at all, it means either the oil pump drive itself has failed, or there are problems with air leaks.

  1. Oil pump failure. If, when the oil pump plunger adjustment screw is unscrewed, oil is still not supplied to the chainsaw chain, then the drive, which is a plastic ring with grooves, has broken down. Over time, the grooves can wear out and the drive will fail, after which it will simply have to be replaced.
  2. The hose that supplies pressurized oil to the chain has collapsed or worn out. You need to re-attach it to the fitting or replace it.
  3. The grooves through which oil is supplied to the chainsaw chain are clogged - this is the most common occurrence. They need to be cleaned, after which the supply will resume.

Why does my chainsaw leak oil?

If you notice oil leaking from the chainsaw, then this is a malfunction and there may be several reasons for it:

  1. Most often, oil leaks from the chainsaw chain if the seal of the fuel tank is broken. Carefully inspect the tank for cracks or tight fit of the tube to the fitting. If there are violations, eliminate them.
  2. The oil channels are clogged, resulting in oil not flowing into them, but dripping onto the ground. It is necessary to clean the channels with pressure - this will eliminate the problem.
