What can be made from a lighter: original ideas. What can be made from an old lighter What can be made from an old lighter

Some may be surprised, but such devices for demonstrating one’s creative potential were not chosen by chance, since their spare parts can become parts of a full-fledged designer set. So, for example, the most common way of what can be made from a lighter, or rather from several copies of this auxiliary tool, is to make miniature motorcycles that can become worthy decoration private collection, or even take part in some unusual competition. Moreover, you should not be afraid that you will not be able to cope with the task, because this process is not only easy to perform, but also very exciting and often even develops into a real hobby. But before you start constructing this wonderful miniature, you should carefully disassemble the lighters down to the smallest details.

To do this, first remove the metal head of the device and the wheel and carefully release the existing gas into a previously prepared container. It is important to dismantle all the constituent elements completely intact and intact, and they must be put into separate groups, carrying out a kind of sorting. After this, they begin to assemble a miniature motorcycle, using almost every part as a spare part for it. To do this, first make a diagonal connection between two metal heads, for which a through hole using a hot needle for future fastening. As the fastening element itself, a pin with a spring placed on it is used, which is also removed from the structure of the disposable lighter, after first dismantling its protective covers.

A plastic lighter fuse is formed into fastener, by cutting its ring into two parts. Thanks to this part, it is possible to connect the steering part, made from the metal heads of disposable lighters, with a wheel, for which they use an element with a silicon wheel hidden under this very head, designed to burn out a spark. To ensure rigid fixation, the connection of these elements is soldered, for which you can use a candle flame or, on extreme case, gluing using a two-component polymer agent. After the work is finally done, they begin to make the motorcycle steering wheel, for which you can use a hollow straw used to supply liquid gas. Moreover, only the upper section of this device with a characteristic rounding is suitable larger diameter at its end.

The total length of each branch of the steering wheel should not exceed five millimeters, and they should be inserted with a narrower part into pre-made holes in the “steering column”, the role of which is played by metal lighter heads connected to each other by a pin with a spring. It should be remembered that these metal plugs are installed as a last resort, and they are given such a functional and aesthetic load as imitation of the front bumper, which is made double for a more massive look, placing both plugs on top of each other. The back of such a wonderful vehicle in miniature you can decorate with one or two “turbines”. To do this, the pins with springs, which were previously used as an auxiliary connecting means, will be used again. Such crafts are able to maintain balance and move freely on a horizontal surface.

If desired, they can be painted in any other color after sanding, degreasing and priming, using enamel for these purposes, or even decorate their side or front panels using miniature thematic stickers in the form of flags of a certain country, motocross sports emblems, etc. Surprisingly, but a disposable lighter is a much more multifunctional device than you might think at first glance. So, for example, you can use it to make such interesting children's crafts as a crossbow (in the form of a match thrower or even a mini-crossbow), a water pistol (water is poured into the lighter using a disposable syringe) or a mini firecracker (in this case you need to be extremely careful and perform the craft only together with adults, carefully following all points of the instructions).

Good day, ladies and gentlemen :) With the onset of cold weather, there was more time for creativity, so I built a new one under the tree. This time I decided do original “bubble” lighter in steampunk style, as I always made my own under the tree without any drawings with a minimal idea in complete improvisation.

Initially, I made it from an ordinary transparent bottle of some kind of medicine. I cut two strips from sheet brass to make a clamp.

I bent two halves of the clamp along the neck of the bottle.

I drilled holes to fasten the two halves together, then I started thinking about the lid,

I decided to make the lid out of a brass coin. I erased all the identification marks with a file and drilled a couple of holes for the wick and the silicon wheel. Then I began to wonder how to connect it all together... I cut out a plate from the same sheet brass and carefully processed it with a needle file. Then he gave the details an elegant shape, fitting them to each other. He tied everything together. The most important part of my lighter came out.

Naturally, if there is no gasket between the metal part and the glass vial, then all the liquid will simply flow out. Initially I wanted to make a gasket from the original lid of the bottle, but after ruining a couple of pieces I decided that the idea with the lid would not work, so I took a rubber gasket (I think from the mixer, I don’t remember exactly), in general it fell into place as if it were original. The highlight of the program “BUBBLE”, as it was said earlier (initially there was a simple transparent bottle), somehow did not fit into the idea... A break from all the home first aid kits found a handsome man made of brown glass and the mosaic came together. 🙂

Surely every home has such unnecessary and seemingly completely useless disposable lighters. But what these lighters are, involuntarily attracts the eye and delights. Try it and give a second life to old lighters without gas!

Of course, you can’t name products made from this material, because their manufacture will require working with adult tools and glue. But the baby will be able to watch exactly how you create beautiful crafts from a seemingly completely unnecessary thing.

So, in order to create lighter craft - beautiful lampshade you will need old disposable lighters in quite a significant quantity. Using wire cutters, chop their multi-colored plastic parts into small pieces, and pour the pieces of each color into separate vials.

Now make sections for the lampshade, they can be made from old DVD cassette boxes. Transparent plastic should be glued inside each section, which will hold the lighter crumbs. To subsequently glue the sections together in the shape of a cylinder, you should use plastic glue.

Now you need to pour pieces of lighters inside each section a certain color and inject gel glue from a syringe there. Level the surface of the filler and wait until the glue dries. The result is beautiful multi-colored “glass” sections in which the light coming from the light bulb will look great.

Also, you can make original motorcycles from disassembled lighters.
