dome buildings. Projects of domed houses. Dome house frame technology

Dome houses are a relatively new word in construction, quickly gaining popularity due to the use of an unconventional shape for the house.

The construction of prefabricated domed houses is known and in demand all over the world. Today, such a house is no longer just following fashion or a race for originality, but also a desire to get the most rational and economical housing as a result of construction. Some experts call dome structures a variant of eco-houses.

Features of domed houses: the pros and cons of the design

The construction of domed houses, which has long been familiar and familiar to masters in the West, is gradually becoming fashionable in our country. Attractive appearance, non-trivial design, environmental friendliness and ergonomics make such dwellings desirable for the category of people who not only follow fashion trends, but also strive to be in harmony with nature.

ADVICE! Those who like to stand out from the crowd, do not want to spend a lot of money on home decoration, can solve the problem by choosing a domed structure instead of a typical rectangular house.

Among the obvious advantages of houses with geodesic domes are:

  • Saving building materials to build a house of a similar area by more than 1/5. A light structure does not need an overly reliable and durable foundation and powerful construction equipment. The construction of domed houses is a fairly fast process: 5 days and one builder are enough to build a house of a small area.
  • The process of assembling and dismantling a domed house is simple and does not require special skills.. Some types of lightweight frame structures are even suitable for transportation outside the city: for example, while hiking with friends.
  • Dome design is comfortable for living : air does not stagnate in it, and the significantly smaller surface area significantly reduces the amount of noise penetrating inside.
  • The versatility of the structure allows it to fit into anylandscape and pick up a place on any site. In addition, it is easy to attach additional rooms of the same shape to the finished house.
  • Despite outward frivolity, domed dwellings are extremely durable and reliable . Even domed houses made of expanded polystyrene are much more stable than rectangular structures made of brick and stone: they are not afraid of winds, earthquakes and even snow drifts (1 sq.m. of a domed roof can withstand more than 600 kg of snow).
  • The dome house is an ideal option for living: Light, with a rational layout and sufficient sound insulation, attractive in appearance and practical in terms of using free space.
  • Dome building is energy efficient: less heat loss, reduced energy requirements for heating, as well as a comfortable temperature throughout the room - all this makes such a house as practical as possible.

FACT! The dome design is ideal for installing solar panels and using other alternative energy sources.

The disadvantages of such a dwelling are much less: the most notable are the difficulty with windows (there is a need to find more expensive solutions), as well as certain problems with the choice of furniture. In addition, a domed home will require a larger lot than a traditional home.

From birth, a person is surrounded by rectangular buildings, all furniture and appliances are designed to be installed in rooms with straight walls, and the very shape of a domed dwelling seems to many frivolous and even ridiculous. But these difficulties are quite easy to deal with: the shape may not seem funny, but modern and creative, and furniture and household appliances fit organically into the interior of the "round" house.

Now few people can be surprised by a new residential building, but this rule does not apply to popular spherical or domed houses, the designs and prices of which are so diverse that they cannot leave any buyer indifferent. Spherical buildings are unique in themselves, their design looks unusual in any area. Moreover, the incredible appearance of the domed house is not its only advantage.

Due to its unique design, each house project can differ significantly from the other, since there is the possibility of using radically different details. Such building objects have high functionality. Every day they become more and more popular in the Russian construction market.

What is a domed house: features and history of occurrence

A domed house is commonly understood as a building object with a spherical, rounded roof. However, this is only a general description of this type of buildings. Many note that the domed house looks like an Eskimo dwelling (a needle).

Modern spherical buildings look simply incredible, the designs are amazing. For designers, a special task is the competent combination of one main sphere with five side ones. The finished result of the project largely depends on the imagination of the designer and your personal preferences.

Source greenadaptability.wordpress.com

The first spherical buildings appeared in Byzantium, and the Eskimos began to create their dwellings in conditions of extremely low temperatures many years ago. From this we can draw a simple conclusion - in ancient times, round-shaped houses were no less popular than today, but then a more durable material - natural stone - was used for their construction.

The northern peoples were the first to notice that spherical buildings have high wind resistance and earthquake resistance.

In 1951, the American architect Richard Buckminster Fuller proposed using a spherical structure as the basis for the construction of residential buildings.

The main technologies for the construction of domed houses

To date, there are several construction technologies that are used to build domed houses, projects and prices, respectively, also "play" in one direction or another, depending on the method of construction. They can be made of materials such as brick, monolith, foam concrete, foam plastic and even clay. Moreover, buildings made of brick, monolith and foam concrete are not much different from the standard designs of residential buildings. Technologies for the construction of domed houses are classified into construction:

    based on the geodesic sphere;

    based on pneumoframework;

    based on fixed formwork.

One of the most common technologies for building a spherical house is the combined use of polystyrene foam and polystyrene foam - while the construction of the building is carried out using the Japanese method. However, such houses require additional manipulations to ensure year-round use.

The most budgetary and closest to standard conditions is the technology for building domed houses, based on the frame construction method. According to experts, for this kind of buildings, you can use a frame made of almost any material (with sufficient strength and service life). Connectors of various modifications and sizes are used to connect parts.

What foundation is suitable for a domed house

You have decided on a site for the construction of a building object, have decided that it will be a dome house, have drawn up a layout project with established dimensions, which means it's time to move on to building the foundation.

Its construction requires preliminary preparation - it is necessary to carry out marking on the site, determine the zero mark and other parameters (for these purposes we recommend using a level - a geodetic device for determining the height difference). Do not neglect the help of professionals in the field of geodetic works.

The very essence of domed housing construction implies the absence of ceilings and load-bearing supports. This gives not only up to 30% savings on wall and ceiling materials: the structure becomes light and does not require a massive foundation.

After all the preparatory work has been carried out, you should proceed to digging a trench for a strip foundation (this is the best option for creating a domed house).

Source rmnt.ru

Also, a pile type of foundation is often used under the dome house.

source seattlehelpers.org

The strip foundation is a reinforced concrete structure, equipped around the perimeter of the entire construction site. As a rule, such an installation consists of a crate (reinforcing mesh) and a hardened concrete mix. To create a crate, fittings with a diameter of 12 mm with wire strapping are suitable. Next, the cement-sand mortar is poured.

When choosing the depth of the trench, keep in mind that the foundation should be located in the place where the soil freezes (this is 1500 mm below the zero level).

When erecting a pile foundation for the construction of a domed house, as a rule, screw, driven or concrete piles are used, depending on the quality of the soil.

Dome house frame technology

During construction, round house projects most often involve the use of frame technology - it provides ease of construction. The frame is assembled from special metal pipes or timber, after which the resulting structure is sheathed with sheet building material (OSB board or plywood). In the interlayers between the sheets, an insulating element is laid (mineral wool, jute, polystyrene foam).

For the construction of the frame of the domed house, monolithic reinforced concrete can also be used. However, this method is used very rarely in our country, due to the lower price of lumber. And do not forget about the need for good thermal insulation of the dome, with which wood copes much better than concrete.

To date, there are two options for the frame scheme of domed houses: the creation of a stratodesic or geodesic dome. Each of them has both advantages and disadvantages. In the process of creating a building project, a more suitable frame model is selected.

The technology based on the construction of a frame in the form of a triangular hemisphere is the most popular in the construction of domed houses. The frame is constructed from wooden triangular blocks of the same size.

An overview of the domed house, see the video:

As an exterior finish, pressed cellulose impregnated with bitumen is used, but other materials can be used, as long as they are waterproof. From the inside, the frame is sheathed with boards, and mineral wool is used as a heater. During construction, some triangles are left open, after which frames of a similar shape with double-glazed windows are mounted in them.

The technology of erecting a domed house based on a pneumoframe

The method of building a spherical house based on a pneumatic frame is distinguished by an unusual and rather complex technology, while it requires the use of special machinery and equipment, due to which the time for building a house is reduced to a minimum.

The foundation for such a house is made of tape or slab. The framework represents a dome from the metal rods connected among themselves by welding.

This technology should involve a prefabricated pneumatic frame. It is made individually and, when inflated, completely repeats the contours of the inner surface of the dome. In those places where there should be windows and doors, the frame has ledges of a given shape and size. The manufacture of a pneumoframe is the most costly and difficult stage of construction, but since the technology cuts construction costs by half, its price is fully paid off.

Source gr.pinterest.com

The pneumoframe is inflated from inside the metal crate, after which a cement-polymer mortar, shotcrete or expanded polystyrene is sprayed from the outside with the help of special equipment. The base material of the dome is applied in layers, with breaks for each layer to harden. On the inside of the dome, I do the same, and after the walls have completely solidified, they begin to finish.

Features of planning and interior design of a spherical residential building

The layout of the domed house has a number of differences from the rectangular structure we are used to. However, this does not in any way limit the owners of the house in choosing the design of the room. On the contrary, the unusual appearance of the room allows you to realize the most extraordinary interior solutions.

Source argo-project.ru

    Some decorative elements and furniture are best made to order, as most products are designed to be placed against walls of standard parameters. An excellent solution would be paintings of a semicircular shape, soft frameless furniture.

    For a living room or study, wooden furniture is suitable, which will exactly repeat the curves of the walls, which will give the room an even more unusual entourage.

    When installing communication systems, one should take into account the shape of the internal walls, as well as the technical and operational properties of the finishing materials used.

    The fireplace is an essential attribute of the living room. In spherical houses, the fireplace is best placed in the center of the room - if you want to keep all the incoming heat and solve the problem of the lack of a flat wall for mounting this interior element.

Dome house layout examples

The photo below is an example of the layout of a small domed house. There is a fairly spacious living room where you can spend family evenings and meet guests. The kitchen is small, combined with the dining room, and the bar counter is the border between the place for cooking and eating and the living room - a modern piece of furniture that will undoubtedly appeal to a young family.

See the video for the experience of people living in a domed house:

The house also has a bathroom and a large bedroom on the ground floor. The stairs to the second floor are located to the right of the entrance to the house, which is also very convenient. If there are living rooms on the second floor, the owners do not have to walk through the whole house to get to the second floor.

It is noteworthy that there is a fireplace in the center of the house, where you can spend long winter evenings with your family. This house is suitable for a family of three.

Advantages and disadvantages of domed houses

In addition to the unique external characteristics, the dome house has a number of undeniable advantages:

    affordable cost;

    a massive concrete platform is not required;

    saving on assembly speed;

    minimum construction waste;

    not so many building materials are required for a dome house;

    the outer surface area of domed buildings is smaller, and the internal volume of space is larger (corners are cut off), due to this, heat loss in winter and absorption in summer are reduced;

Video description

    strength, increased seismic resistance, excellent aerodynamics;

    the dome withstands high snow loads;

    good sound insulation and ventilation;

    originality and aesthetics at the highest level;

    excellent lighting performance.

Source pinterest.ru

The disadvantages of domed houses experts include:

    there are very few professional companies on the Russian market, the topic is quite new, enthusiastic dome builders are just trying to conquer our country;

    experience in calculations is required, absolute accuracy in the manufacture of parts;

    suppliers of high-quality raw materials "worth their weight in gold", it is difficult to find good lumber;

    the useful life of the house is inferior to stone and block buildings;

    non-standard windows, made by special order, certain difficulties during installation.

But these shortcomings are quickly reduced to nothing if you do not try to build a house on your own, but immediately turn to a construction company that has proven itself well in the construction market. So you will save a lot of time and effort, and in the end you will get a high-quality domed house in which it will be cozy and comfortable to live. And all your wishes regarding the layout of the specialists will definitely take into account.

Conclusion

Considering domed houses as permanent housing, projects and prices for them can be sorted out endlessly, because, despite the fact that such buildings have appeared on the construction market relatively recently, there is no limit to the variety of projects. You can choose for yourself the simplest domed house, the projects of such buildings are inexpensive, or make a special one, according to your own wishes and preferences. For example, you can take the Dobrosfera domed houses, projects and prices, photos of each of them can be viewed in more detail on the site. And professional architects and designers will be happy to help you with this.

Increasingly, citizens who are tired of the frantic pace of the metropolis prefer an apartment in the capital to a house or a townhouse in the near Moscow region. This option is especially popular with families with children - young parents are attracted by the possibility of a large personal space, good ecology and remoteness from industrial enterprises. Among the projects of private development come across both typical and unusual. The latter include domed, or spherical houses, which are built in about six months and are 95% made of natural materials. Their designers claim that such structures are twice as strong as conventional ones, withstand severe weather conditions and save energy. The Village spoke with Natalya and Dmitry Korol - a young married couple who recently moved into their domed house - and found out how they live in it.

From Bali to Korolev

Dmitry and Natalia first decided to escape from the bustle of the city in Bali. But instead of the planned two months, they spent only one there. “Not because we didn’t like it there, Bali was very cool. I just really wanted to return home and start active work here,” they say.

Even before leaving, the couple planned to acquire their own apartment, but after returning, the young people realized that they wanted to live in their own house. “In Bali, we lived in a villa. There you open large glass doors and without any steps or porch you get into the courtyard where a palm tree grows. This is how we wanted to live here. And upon their return, they began to look for a plot, ”the couple recall.

The site was found small, six acres, but not far from Moscow and in an ecologically clean area. Then it was time to think about the design of the house itself, and here chance helped. Once Dmitry and Natalya were driving by car to the Kaluga region for the Ethnomir festival. On the way, they saw that an exhibition of houses was being held at the Crocus Expo exhibition center, and decided to look there. At the exhibition, young people saw a stand with domed houses, talked to the developer and decided.

Technology

House-sphere - frame and consists of 20 load-bearing wooden beams. Both the outer and inner walls are made of wood, and insulation is laid between them. Outside, the house is shingled with larch. These are boards 40 centimeters long, layered on top of each other. Now they are yellow, but over the years the larch will turn silver and eventually acquire an anthracite hue.

“There are two types of domed houses: geodesic - made of triangles and stratodesic - like ours. Initially, this is a French technology, but completely rethought and adapted to our realities by a Russian company,” Dmitry explains.

Western technology involves the construction of a hemisphere, but this form reduces the height of the ceilings and the size of the living space. Therefore, the designers chose the golden ratio, that is, 61% of the sphere. Due to this, we got convex walls, additional space and high ceilings.

How everything is arranged inside

There are no batteries in the house, it is heated only by a water-heated floor. The conclusions for the batteries were still made just in case, but theoretically the shape of the house allows the heat coming from below to be evenly distributed over the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe building.

To heat the floor, use a boiler that runs on pellets - environmentally friendly wood pellets. “In terms of cost, this technology is comparable to main gas. Our site is located on a water canal, this is a water protection zone, so gas will most likely never be brought here. This winter will be the first, so let's see how the pellet technology will cope with it,” Dmitry and Natalia say.

In a house, it is impossible to determine where the wall ends and the ceiling begins, because the outer walls are round. At the same time, the internal interior partitions are straight, which allows you to arrange furniture without problems. The owners themselves thought out the entire internal layout. In total, four isolated rooms turned out, and out of 170 square meters of area, almost 60 squares were left to the air - there is a lot of free space in the house. “This is not very consistent with our Russian mentality - to pile up a lot of small rooms - but we do not regret our decision,” the young people explain.

When organizing the space, the owners were guided not only by personal taste, but also by the ancient teachings of Vastu, which Dmitry is fond of. “This teaching appeared even before Feng Shui. His idea is that certain rooms should be located on different sides of the world. Each room has its own energy, and it affects everyone who lives in the house. It is also important that the space in the center is uncluttered,” he says.

Some items in the house were made by Dmitry himself. For example, Ikea bowl chandeliers and a hemp table in the guest bedroom. Also, the owner and his friends assembled a boiler room for the house. And in the plans - a wardrobe and a green lawn on the roof.

Issue price

The final price of the turnkey house was 8 million rubles. “Our house is not a suburban option, but a place to live all year round. The price of such a house, compared with the cost of housing in Moscow, is quite acceptable. And for this money you get a house that you can immediately move into,” the owners say.

Neighbours

“Our village is located next to the vegetable gardens, which 40 years ago were allocated to people who worked at the plant,” says Natasha. - Mostly pensioners around. When we just started construction and no one knew anything, then, of course, there were various rumors: that the mosque was being built, that some sectarians were going to settle down.”

Despite the first reaction, the neighbors were friendly to the newcomers. “We immediately noticed the difference with the neighbors in the apartment building. Everyone came to meet us, they brought pies, shared their experience and advice, ”recalls the girl.

Ecology

The spouses are responsible for environmental issues - for example, they drive a Toyota Prius hybrid car, and in the future they dream of becoming owners of Tesla. “When you live in a city apartment, it’s hard with an electric car, because there is nowhere to charge it. And when you have your own house, such a problem does not arise - here you can organize your own charger, ”the spouses say.

When processing surfaces, the choice was also made in favor of environmental friendliness. “When we built the house, we did not order the processing of the walls. We decided that we would do it ourselves. And, to be honest, there was not enough money, because there are about 900 square meters of surfaces that need to be processed. Then we began to study the issue. It turned out that some kind of chemistry was offered for wood processing. It's either paint or some other non-natural finish. And we have already invested so much money in an environmentally friendly house that we really didn’t want to impregnate it with synthetics from the inside, ”explains Dmitry.

We are very imbued Balinese culture. Largely because it non-drinking nation

The search was successful - thanks to the Internet, we managed to find a company from Izhevsk that sells patchwork wax. This is a mixture of propolis, beeswax and gum turpentine, made according to the old Russian technology. A coating similar in consistency and color to honey is applied to the wall, and then heated with a building hair dryer. It penetrates deep into the wood and works as an antiseptic and also protects against moisture. Previously, log cabins were processed in the villages in this way. The mixture turned out to be not only natural, but also cheaper than chemical counterparts. In addition, the coating has a pleasant natural smell, which is felt throughout the house.

Rules of life

“We are very imbued with Balinese culture. Largely because it is a non-drinking nation - alcohol began to be imported there only in the last 10 years, when the island became a tourist destination. We also do not drink alcohol, moreover, it is prohibited in our house. All our guests know that the way to us with booze is closed, ”says Dmitry.

One of the rooms of the house, located on the ground floor, is rented out by the couple through the Airbnb website, while guests are also prohibited from drinking alcohol. “This is a good filter. Surprisingly, only people who are suitable for us in spirit, with whom it is pleasant and interesting to communicate with us come to our house, ”the owners sum up.

Today, perhaps, it is no longer possible to surprise someone with the decision of architecture when building a house. But not a domed house! This type of building is unique in itself, as it is unusual for our area. But this is not the only advantage of a domed house. Each project will be different from the other, as there is the possibility of variation in literally every detail of the house. This is a significant plus of such buildings, because the usable space in such a house is as functional as possible. Therefore, such an architectural solution is becoming increasingly popular in construction. In this article, we will look at domed houses in detail: projects and prices, photo examples of finished buildings.

Building a spherical shape is a great way to stand out from the monotony of neighboring houses

Formally speaking, a domed house is a building with a spherically rounded roof. Outwardly, it may resemble the dwelling of the Eskimos - an igloo. But, nevertheless, in their execution, modern domed houses have stepped much further. The design of projects can translate into reality, it would seem, tasks that are completely impossible from the point of view of construction.

So, one main sphere can be combined with five attached ones, which will present us with an abstract and bold designer's decision. Yes, exterior photos, projects and prices of domed houses will largely depend on the imagination of the architect-designer team.

History of domes

Domed houses appear in the Byzantine period. It is hard to even imagine in what year the Eskimos began to build houses from rounded snow in the north. The northern peoples of Scandinavia used a more durable material, like stone, in rounded buildings.

One thing can be said unequivocally - houses in the past enjoyed their popularity. And most likely, appearance is not the main requirement for a spherical house. People have noticed that the wind resistance of such houses is much higher than that of corner houses. Seismic resistance and much more can be added here.

For your information! Buckminster Fuller in 1951, noticing the spherical shape as an option for building houses, decided to patent the design solution in architecture.

Photos of domed houses

And it really is possible to make it a reality! The smooth lines of such a house look very natural in nature. Such houses fit perfectly into any picture of the landscape. Wherever you build such a house, in the photo it will always look like a dream house.

Technologies for the construction of domed houses

In order to build a domed house, you first need to build a frame. The material for this requires strong enough, although it can be light. Wood is ideal. It is very convenient in installation, because it does not require additional costs, installations, etc.

Foundation for building

The frame is placed on a foundation of tape or pile type. Here is a little more. For each locality, the layer of black soil will be of different sizes, but it must be removed. Having reached the clay layer, it is necessary to compact the area where the foundation is planned. goes in one layer of the grid, the cell of which is 10X10 cm - 15X15 cm. The thickness of the reinforcement can be from 8 mm to 16 mm. The mesh is knitted with a run of plus 10 cm or more, on each side of the intended wall thickness. The layer and brand of concrete is calculated depending on the mass of the building, according to the construction project.

Frame erection and finishing

The frame, as already mentioned, can be built from wood, but metal can also be used, which makes construction more expensive. It is also possible to build domed houses from polystyrene foam.

In some cases, an additional, so-called temporary frame or supports may be used. Its role is to support the dome until the materials are collected, after which it will be dismantled. Sometimes the project provides for supporting columns or piers, on which the dome also rests. They are erected simultaneously with the frame. The main frame, external, is mounted according to the principle of triangular faces, which allows you to vary the shape of the house in any direction.

Helpful advice! To obtain an even sphere, it is better to make frame fragments according to one template, then putting them together and checking them. The more accurate copies are made, the less will be the offset during editing.

At the junctions of triangular blocks, as well as on the dome vault, it is better to use special production connectors called dome connectors. They pass technical control on loadings and operational properties.

When using basalt insulation, it will be correct to use waterproofing impregnation. Having soaked the cotton blocks with such a solution, the humid environment will not subsequently threaten the development of fungus or mold on the walls.

Openings in round houses should be with reinforced frames. This is especially true for doorways. As for windows, unlike doors, they can be of completely different shapes. Spherical houses can be covered with shingles, which is very convenient because of its flexible properties. In operation, bituminous tiles are unmatched. Its waterproofing properties are today of the highest level. For the owner of the house, it remains only to decide on the choice of the manufacturer of this material.

Interior decoration is carried out with the same materials and work procedure as ordinary houses. Gypsum and cement-sand putties, cement screeds, wooden lining, tiles, parquet, linoleum, wallpaper - all this is easily applicable in round houses.

Layout of a domed house with your own hands: highlights

A real flight of fancy begins with the layout of the interior space. The spherical design allows you to realize very interesting design ideas. It is worth noting that not all of them can be due to practicality and functionality. We offer to see projects, photos of round houses:

Advantages and disadvantages of spherical houses

The advantage of domed houses over conventional houses:

  • Appearance;
  • Wind resistance;
  • Seismic resistance;
  • Small mass of the building;
  • Lightweight foundation;
  • Does not require the participation of special equipment;
  • Possibility of all-season construction;
  • Profitability;
  • Energy intensity;
  • Ease of maintenance;
  • 100% functionality of the area;
  • A feeling of unparalleled comfort.

Among the shortcomings it is worth noting:

  • The complexity of calculating the project and building materials due to the spherical shape;
  • To perform work, it is better to contact builders specializing in buildings of this type (this way you will incur minimal costs);
  • Non-standard window shapes, which can complicate their manufacture and cost;
  • Finishing any curved surface will cost more, whether it's wallpaper, plaster, tile or drywall.

Dome houses: projects and prices, photos of structures

Through search engines on the Internet, you can easily find domed houses, projects, prices and photos, as well as a highly qualified team for the construction of this type of building. It has always been and remains the best decision to seek help or advice from specialists. Only through practical experience can you competently approach the construction. Especially when it comes to non-standard solutions.

A spherical building complicates the work by an order of magnitude and requires mathematical, geometric, physical and mechanical calculations. And this is not all that such a project requires. Geodetic data, landscape measurements - in a word, many directions in the calculations during the construction of a domed house indicate that qualified specialists should be invited to the case.

About the cost of domed buildings

You can buy a domed house at a price of about 30% lower than usual. First of all, the cost is reduced due to roofing materials, since their supporting structure is not needed. The walls of the house serve as the basis. And the savings in masonry material is hidden in the very formula of a spherical figure. With detailed calculations, this becomes visible to the naked eye.

differing in their functionality. They can be of different shapes and heights. Various materials are used in construction. But none of them can be compared in originality with such an unusual structure as a house-sphere.

Ready project of a spherical house

It is worth noting that spherical houses are endowed with certain technical characteristics:

  • Such buildings have a round shape, which, along with other houses, looks not only unusual, but also original;
  • They are reliably protected from the effects of weather and climatic influences: snow, rain, wind. This is due to the fact that the roof of the house has a streamlined shape;
  • In these houses there is much more usable area than in those that have rectilinear forms;
  • Building a sphere house is much easier than a standard one. It won't take much time and effort.

In addition, the construction of sphere houses is seamless. And, therefore, a constant temperature regime will be maintained inside. Thanks to this, the roof structure is also reliably protected from leaks.

Note. Even with a strong wind, the house will stand and not collapse.

From the outside, such a house may look like one-story, but inside there is a second floor. The most important thing is to correctly distribute the space.

The advantages of such buildings

Building a house-sphere is a profitable investment. Due to the fact that their forms are diverse, you can create a unique home in a modern style.

Moreover, there are big savings in the process of building such a structure:

  • 20% on the purchase of building materials;
  • 40% on construction work.

Most importantly, the price for development and when registering a project can be different. According to the project, you can build such a house yourself and there will not be any particular difficulties. And you can buy ready-made houses, which are collapsible structures. It remains only to assemble them correctly and install them on a suburban area.

If there is a desire to expand the living space, then you can freely make extensions to the house of a similar shape and thereby add a twist to the appearance of the building.

Varieties of houses-spheres

No matter how unusual it may sound, house-spheres can consist of one sphere and several.

All of them perform certain functions. For example, in one area of a small size there may be an entrance area, in another - a kitchen or an office. Quite often, other utility rooms are also placed there. If the house consists of one sphere, then the space is distributed rationally.

There are various projects of such structures, you can buy them and immediately begin construction.

Finding them is pretty easy. And you can order from a professional architect.

Note. In another way, such houses are called domed. The technologies of their construction came to us from the West and began to be effectively applied by our specialists.

Detailed diagram of a spherical house

The shapes of the spheres themselves can be round and oval.

If it is planned to build a two-story house, then the first type of sphere shape is used. It will be more functional for such work. For the construction of a one-story house, the second form is used.

The functionality of structures of this type

Before planning the construction of a house-sphere, it is necessary to initially determine for what purposes the building is being built and what functions it will be endowed with.

So, the house-sphere can be designed both for summer living and year-round.
They differ in materials for construction. The first option is a lighter house that can be built on a country plot and used as a summer cottage. The basis for it is a metal frame made of shaped thin-walled pipes.

At the same time, its depth will be insignificant. Although it all depends on the type of soil on the site. Before the construction of the foundation, the upper soil is completely cleared of vegetation, which makes it possible to freely fill the floor already inside the dwelling.

Advice. In order for a foundation of any type to acquire the required reliability, a certain period of time is required. As a rule, 14-20 days will be enough.

Assembly process

Note. Due to the fact that it has already become possible to buy ready-made houses of this type, the manufacturer provides special instructions for their easier assembly to perform the work.

As a rule, welding equipment and improvised tools are used in the process. All components of the frame are set according to the indicators of the building level and only then are fastened together.

Options for the external coating of the house

Basically, as a coating for a metal frame, they use:

  • OSB sheets and plywood;
  • Any modern finishing material.

And it can be: plastic, corrugated board, plaster, paint, natural and artificial stone, decorative panels. Buying any of them will not be difficult.

Important. If corrugated board is used as a frame cover, then it is necessary to make high-quality insulation of the structure so that it is comfortable inside the house.

Self-construction of a house-sphere

Initially you need:

For further work you will need:

  • Prepare the base;
  • Assemble the frame yourself;
  • Carry out insulation and insulation of the building;
  • Perform interior and exterior finishing work.

In order for the construction of the house-sphere to be correct, you must follow all the recommendations:

  • You need to purchase materials with a margin so that in some cases it is possible to change;
  • Make a solid foundation that can withstand significant loads in the event of completion or restructuring;
  • Choose high-quality materials for the frame and coating, so that the structure is endowed with durability and practicality.

Advice. It is necessary to distribute space rationally, since the house-sphere is endowed with a large amount of usable area and its shape is unusual.

Detailed layout of the house-sphere with a rational distribution of space

The standard layout includes: bedroom, living room, kitchen area, utility rooms.

In some cases, the kitchen and living room are combined. If the house has two floors, it is recommended to allocate space for a second bedroom or office.
