pharmachologic effect

The drug Neuromultivit contains the following vitamins:

  • Thiamine, or vitamin B1. This vitamin, after metabolic processes in the body, can be transformed into cocarboxylase. And this component special enzymes that affect the speed of biochemical processes in the direction of increasing it. In addition, vitamin B1 is directly involved in the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, and also promotes the conduction of nerve impulses between cells of the nervous system. In the Neuromultivit preparation this vitamin is present in the amount of 100 mg.
  • Pyradoxine, or vitamin B 6. With its deficiency in the body, disorders of the peripheral and central nervous systems are possible. This element is an integral component of enzymes that take part in the metabolism of amino acids, as well as in the formation of neurotransmitters - substances that allow nerve cells to exchange information. In the Neuromultivit preparation, this vitamin is present in the amount of 200 mg.
  • Cyanocobalamin, or vitamin B 12. This vitamin takes part in the process of hematopoiesis and the formation of red blood cells. In addition, it is directly involved in some biochemical processes that are necessary for the normal functioning of the body. For example, the exchange of amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, the formation of nucleic acids and proteins. Also, it is this vitamin, which is part of the product, that can activate the blood coagulation function and the functioning of the liver in general. Cyanocobalamin affects the processes of the nervous system, and forms of the vitamin are involved in cell division and growth. Neuromultivit contains this vitamin in an amount of 200 mcg.

If we take the effect of the drug, it affects the functioning of metabolic processes that occur in nerve cells, as well as the restoration of nervous tissue. That is why this particular remedy is very effective for the treatment of neurological diseases. Used in combination with other medications to treat diseases of the nervous system.

Method and dosage

The Neuromultivit treatment regimen is compiled exclusively by the attending physician, who makes prescriptions depending on many factors:

  • the severity of the symptoms of the diagnosed disease;
  • concomitant therapy;
  • the patient's condition as a whole.

The instructions indicate, as a rule, the treatment regimen is as follows: 1 tablet 1 to 3 times a day. When taking an increased dosage (the decision to prescribe increased doses is made by the doctor), the course of treatment should not exceed 4 weeks. If necessary, the course of treatment should be repeated, however, not earlier than after a two-week break.

Neuromultivitis for children

Due to the peculiarity of the drug’s action, namely its ability to be involved in cellular metabolism, normalizing its functions, and also due to the function of restoring the functioning of the nervous system, Neuromultivit can be used by children, even newborns.

For the child's psyche, it is essential that the body receives a sufficient amount of vitamin B6, since it contributes to the development of neurodermatitis. It is also a source of energy. Vitamin B 12 improves the supply of oxygen to the child’s tissues and organs. This is why it is often used to treat childhood neurological diseases. In addition, the drug is well tolerated, and side effects are extremely rare.

According to the instructions, there are some restrictions on taking Neuromultivit by children:

  • should not be given at night, as there is a risk of insomnia;
  • all appointments are carried out by a doctor, since although the drug contains only vitamins, it large quantities, which threatens an overdose if taken incorrectly.

During pregnancy and lactation

Reliable clinical data indicate the safety of the drug for the fetus during pregnancy, so it is better to avoid Neuromultivit during this period.

Overdose

  • with long-term intake of high doses of vitamin B1 (more than 10 g per day), a curare-like effect may occur, as a result of which the conduction of nerve impulses is suppressed;
  • vitamin B 6 is not highly toxic, however, if taken excessively, neuropathy may develop in combination with atoxia, in some cases seborrheic dermatitis, hypochromic anemia (if the daily norm of 2 g is exceeded), neurotoxic effects (with more than 1 g of vitamin taken daily);
  • Vitamin B 12, if administered parenterally, may cause allergic reactions, acne, disorders in the functioning of liver enzymes, pain in the heart area, as well as hypercoagulation.

Treatment: Special means There is no solution to help eliminate side effects from taking Neuromultivit. If symptoms of drug overdose appear, the use of tablets should be stopped and, if necessary, symptomatic treatment should be carried out.

special instructions

If Neuromultivit is taken by patients diagnosed with funicular myelosis or pernicious anemia, then the clinical picture of the disease, as well as the results of laboratory tests, may lose their specificity. Patients suffering from severe kidney or liver dysfunction, as well as stomach ulcers and duodenum must be under constant supervision of the attending physician.

Principles of pharmacological action of Neuromultivit

The pharmacological effect of the drug on the human body is based on a combination of its active components, B vitamins. In combination, these vitamins, which are part of Neuromultivit, stimulate metabolic processes in nervous tissues, increase the ability to regenerate tissues of nervous system cells and have a slight analgesic effect.

Thiamine (B1) is an indispensable participant in the process of releasing energy when food is absorbed by the body; this element is part of the chain of synthesis of fats and protein. B1 is also indirectly involved in the process of controlling voluntary contractions of muscle tissue by transmitting nerve impulses at synapses (nerve endings).
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6) is a coenzyme in the biosynthesis of a number of important amino acids, enzymes, neurotransmitters, a necessary chemical component for the effective functioning of both the central and peripheral nervous systems.

Cyanocobalamin (B12) is part of the biochemical reactions to ensure the vital processes of the body, participates in the process of hematopoiesis, and has a positive effect on the processes of regeneration and replication of cells of the nervous system.

The name of the drug is a combination of “neuro” and multivitamin complex, emphasizing that it belongs to a group of vitamin complexes designed to improve the function of the body’s nervous system.

In what cases is the use of Neuromultivit indicated?

Neuromultivit is taken with therapeutic purpose both as a component of therapy for certain diseases, and as a preventative during periods of increased emotional, mental stress, and mental stress.
Indications for taking Neuromultivit, according to the instructions, are:

  • polyneuropathy of endocrine (diabetic), alcoholic and other etiologies;
  • neuritis;
  • neuralgia of various localizations, including damage to the trigeminal nerve, intercostal area, etc.;
  • a degenerative form of diseases of the spinal column, accompanied by the so-called radicular syndrome;
  • lumbago, plexitis, sciatica, lumboischalgia, etc.

Contraindications to taking the drug Neuromultivit

Contraindications for taking the drug include possible allergic reactions to the components of a multivitamin product, including increased individual sensitivity to excipients.

According to the instructions, therapy with this medication is childhood, during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended due to the lack of data on the safety of the drug Neuromultivit during sensitive periods and is carried out only as prescribed by a doctor.

Side effects when taking Neuromultivit

If you follow the dosage prescribed by the specialist and the duration of the course of treatment, side effects can develop only with increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. These side effects include nausea, itchy skin, allergic rash (“urticaria”), short-term increased heart rate (tachycardia), occurring in isolated cases.

Increased doses with long-term use of the drug can provoke the development of convulsive syndrome, neuropathy, sensitivity disorders of nerve endings, seborrheic dermatitis, hypochromic anemia, eczema, and acne-type rashes.

Dosage and methods of application

Neuromultivit in tablet form is taken in a course depending on the specialist’s prescription. The average dosage for an adult is from 1 to 3 tablets per day. Take on a full stomach, swallow the tablets without biting, with a sufficient amount of liquid.

Combination of ethanol-containing medications or alcoholic drinks with therapy with the drug Neuromultivit, the absorption of thiamine, a component of Neuromultivit, sharply decreases.
When taking other multivitamin complexes and Neuromultivit simultaneously, it is necessary to monitor the total amount of B vitamins entering the body from all sources.

Features of the drug and its analogues

The peculiarities of the drug include the effect of cyanococobalamin on the body: taking this substance, in monotherapy or as part of vitamin complexes, has a masking effect in the clinical picture of folic acid deficiency.

Analogues of the neurovitamin complex include other drugs with a similar combination of B vitamins, both specific (containing only group B - Milgamma, Neurotrate, etc.) and general multivitamins: Revit, Pikovit, etc. Before selecting an analogue, a consultation is recommended specialist

Combined preparation of B vitamins.

Thiamine (vitamin B 1) in the human body, as a result of phosphorylation processes, is converted into cocarboxylase, which is a coenzyme of many enzymatic reactions. Thiamine plays important role in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. Actively participates in the processes of nerve excitation in synapses.

Pyridoxine (vitamin B 6) is necessary for the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system. In its phosphorylated form, it is a coenzyme in the metabolism of amino acids (including decarboxylation, transamination). Acts as a coenzyme for the most important enzymes operating in nerve tissues. Participates in the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, adrenaline, histamine and GABA.

Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B 12) is necessary for normal hematopoiesis and maturation of red blood cells, and is also involved in a number of biochemical reactions that ensure the vital functions of the body (in the transfer of methyl groups, in the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins, in the metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates, lipids). Influences processes in nervous system(synthesis of RNA, DNA) and on the lipid composition of cerebrosides and phospholipids. Coenzyme forms of cyanocobalamin - methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin - are necessary for cell replication and growth.

Pharmacokinetics

The components of the drug are water-soluble vitamins, which eliminates the possibility of their accumulation in the body.

Suction and distribution

Thiamine and pyridoxine are absorbed in the upper intestine, the extent of absorption depends on the dose.

The absorption of cyanocobalamin is largely determined by the presence of intrinsic factor in the stomach and upper intestine; further delivery of cyanocobalamin to the tissue is carried out by the transport protein transcobalamin II.

Metabolism

Thiamine, pyridoxine and cyanocobalamin are metabolized in the liver.

Removal

Thiamine and pyridoxine are excreted by the kidneys (about 8-10% unchanged). In case of overdose, the excretion of thiamine and pyridoxine through the intestines significantly increases.

Cyanocobalamin is excreted mainly with bile, the degree of excretion by the kidneys is variable - from 6 to 30%.
