Perhaps someone will be surprised, but such devices for the manifestation of their creative potential were not chosen by chance, since their spare parts can become parts of a full-fledged designer. So, for example, the most common way that you can make from a lighter, or rather from several copies of this auxiliary tool, is to make miniature motorcycles that can become worthy decoration private collection, or even take part in some unusual competition. Moreover, you should not be afraid that you will not be able to cope with the task, because this process is not only easy to perform, but also very exciting and often even develops into a real hobby. But before proceeding with the construction of this wonderful miniature, you should carefully disassemble the lighters down to the smallest details.
To do this, first remove the metal head of the device, the wheel and carefully lower the existing gas into a previously prepared container. It is important to dismantle all the constituent elements in complete integrity and safety, and it is necessary to put them in separate groups, carrying out a kind of sorting. After that, they begin to assemble a miniature motorcycle, using almost every part as a spare part for it. To do this, first, a diagonal connection between two metal heads is performed, for which purpose a through hole using a hot needle for future fastening. As the fastener itself, a pin with a spring put on it is used, which is also removed from the design of a disposable lighter, after dismantling its protective covers.
From the plastic fuse of the lighter is formed fastener, by cutting its ring into two parts. Thanks to this part, it is possible to connect the steering part, made of metal heads of disposable lighters, with a wheel, for which an element hidden under this very head is used with a silicon wheel designed to burn out a spark. To ensure a rigid fixation, the connection of these elements is soldered, for which you can use a candle flame or, on extreme case, pasting by means of two-component polymeric means. After the work is finally done, they begin to manufacture the motorcycle steering wheel, for which you can use a hollow straw used to supply liquid gas. Moreover, only the upper section of this device with a characteristic rounding is suitable. larger diameter at its end.
The total length of each branch of the steering wheel should not exceed five millimeters, and they should be inserted with a narrower part into the pre-made holes in the "steering column", the role of which is played by the metal heads of the lighters connected by a pin with a spring. At the same time, it should be remembered that these metal plugs are installed last, and they are given such a functional and aesthetic load as an imitation of the front bumper, which is made double for a more massive look, pushing both plugs one on top of the other. The back of such a wonderful vehicle in miniature, you can decorate with one or two "turbines". To do this, studs with springs, which were previously used as an auxiliary connecting means, will again be used. Such crafts are able to maintain balance and move freely on a horizontal surface.
If desired, they can be painted in any other color after sanding, degreasing and priming, using enamel for this purpose, or even decorate their side or front panels with miniature themed stickers in the form of country flags, motocross sports emblems, etc. Surprisingly, but the disposable lighter is much more versatile than you might think at first glance. So, for example, from it you can make such interesting children's crafts as a crossbow (in the form of a match thrower or even a mini crossbow), a water gun (water is filled into a lighter using a disposable syringe) or a mini firecracker (in this case, you need to be extremely careful and do the craft only together with adults, carefully following all the instructions).
Good day, ladies and gentlemen 🙂 With the onset of cold weather, there was more time for creativity, so I made a new one under the tree. Decided this time do original steampunk bubble lighter, as he always did with his under the tree without any drawings with a minimal idea in complete improvisation.
Initially, I made it from an ordinary transparent vial from under some kind of medicine. I cut out two strips from sheet brass to make a clamp.
On the neck of the vial, he bent two halves of the clamp.
I drilled holes for fastening the two halves together, Then I started thinking about the lid,
I decided to cut the lid out of a brass coin. With a file, I erased all identification marks, drilled a couple of holes for the wick and the flint wheel. After that, I began to think about how to connect it all together ... I cut out a plate from the same sheet brass and carefully processed it with a needle file. Then he betrayed the elegant shape of the part, fitting it to each other. Glued everything together. The most important part of my lighter came out.
Naturally, if there is no gasket between the metal part and the glass vial, then all the liquid will simply flow out. Initially, I wanted to make a gasket from the original vial lid, but after ruining a couple of pieces I decided that the idea with the lid would not work, so I took a rubber gasket (in my opinion, from the mixer, I don’t remember exactly), in general, it, like a native, fell into place. The highlight of the “BUBBLE” program, as it was said earlier (initially there was a simple transparent bubble), somehow did not fit into the idea ... Breaking all home first-aid kits, I found a handsome brown glass and the mosaic took shape. 🙂
Surely every house has such unnecessary and seemingly completely useless ended disposable lighters. But what these lighters are, involuntarily attract the eye and delight. Try and give a second life to old lighters without gas!

So, in order to create crafts from lighters - beautiful lampshade you will need old disposable lighters in quite a significant amount. Using wire cutters, chop their multi-colored plastic parts into small pieces, pour pieces of each color into separate bubbles.
Now make sections for the lampshade, you can make them from old DVD cassettes. Inside each section, a transparent plastic should be glued, which will hold the crumble from the lighters. To subsequently glue the sections together in the form of a cylinder, glue for plastic should be used.
Now inside each section you need to fill up pieces of lighters certain color and inject gel glue from the syringe there. Level the surface of the filler and wait until the glue dries. The result is beautiful multi-colored "glass" sections, in which the light coming from the light bulb will look great.
