The design and principle of operation of the machine

Structurally, the СР6-6 installation consists of a cast-iron bed, in which the working table, feed mechanisms and a knife shaft are located. For precise processing, the equipment scheme provides for a table displacement unit in the vertical direction. This is done using special device and electric motor.

The principle of operation of the planer installation СР6-6.

  1. The choice of the thickness of the workpiece to be processed, the setting of the parameters for chip removal in one pass of the cutting shafts.
  2. Setting the workpiece between two feed rollers located at the top and bottom.
  3. Preliminarily, rings are installed on the sectional shaft, which have a corrugated surface and rubber seals. This makes it possible to simultaneously form different thicknesses on wooden surface details.
  4. The feed pressure to the cutting shaft is provided by a special cap. It has the function of regulating the degree of mechanical action.
  5. Simultaneously with the clamping function, the sharp edge of the cap removes chips from the surface, which has a positive effect on the quality of processing.

To prevent the reverse movement of the beam, “claws” are mounted in front of the feed folds, which prevent the workpiece from changing direction. This is a prerequisite for the operation of the machine when processing thin materials.

To increase the versatility of the CP6-6 thicknessing machine, its design provides for the presence of devices for sharpening and jointing of processing knives. This allows you to perform preventive measures without the involvement of additional equipment.

Specifications

The main movement of the thickness gauge СР6-6 is carried out due to the operation of an electric motor with a power of 8.6 kW. In this case, the shaft speed is 5000 rpm.

The design provides for a system for removing chips and wood dust. For normal operation of the equipment, air exchange must be at least 1800 m³ / h. Thus, clogging of equipment components can be avoided, and defects can appear on the surface of the workpiece.

Operating rules

Familiarization with safety precautions when working on the machine is mandatory. To do this, you need to study the instructions, master the methodology and principle of operation of the equipment. These data can be found by reading the thickness gauge passport.

The thicknesser SR 8-2 was a further development of its predecessor, the thicknesser SR 8-1.

Machine tools СР4-1 (400 mm), СР6-10 (630 mm), СР8-2 (800 mm) - a new, last model range of thicknessing machines produced by the Krasny Metallist plant, which replaced model range thicknesses SR3-6 (300 mm), SR6-9 (630 mm), SR8-1 (800 mm).

Planer one-sided machine SR-8(SR 8-2) is designed for longitudinal, one-sided planing in size from 5 to 250 mm in thickness of the surfaces of flat blanks up to 800 mm wide, from coniferous and hardwood with humidity not more than 15%. The SR-8 machine belongs to the universal equipment and is used in serial and small-scale production of joinery in the construction industry, furniture, shipbuilding, car building.

Thicknessing machine SR-8 is used for flat planing (milling) of boards, beams or shields in size in thickness. It is used in enterprises and workshops for the production of joinery and construction products, glued panels, furniture production, wooden housing construction and other woodworking industries.

Processing of blanks is carried out by a 4-knife shaft cylindrical shape with wedge fastening of knives in the shaft housing. A special clamp is installed in front of the knife shaft to support the wood fibers in the cutting zone and eliminate pins on the treated surface.

The table, on which workpieces are fed, is of a cast rigid structure, equipped with support rollers to reduce friction when moving the material being processed.

Raising and lowering the table in height, depending on the thickness of the material being processed, is carried out mechanically from a separate electric motor or manually by a flywheel, followed by fixation, which excludes spontaneous lowering of the table.

The lower (base) surface of the workpiece must be machined to planer. The deviation of the base face of the workpiece should not exceed 0.15 mm over a length of 1000 mm.

The room where the machine is installed must comply with the requirements of class P-IIa according to PUE-98.

Machine bed СР-8

Bed 14 (see Fig. 3-6) of the machine is a rigid welded box.

Inside the frame, in the central niche of the front of the machine, the feed drive 24 is installed (see Fig. 5). The knife shaft drive is located in the rear part of the central niche of the bed.

The knife shaft electric motor (flange version) is attached to the plate 25 (see Fig. 5), which moves along the grooves for belt tensioning.

In the left niche of the bed there is an electrical cabinet of the machine and a mechanism for moving the table. In the right niche there is a chain drive of the feed drive and a V-belt drive of the knife shaft drive.

In the upper part of the bed are attached: on detachable supports, a knife shaft with a rear roller; clamps, front roller with control panel and sound-absorbing cover. An exhaust funnel is attached to the sound-absorbing casing at the back.

A locking device for the input machine is installed on the machine bed (see Fig. 4), consisting of a body 20, a screw 21, a gasket 22, a strip 23. A special key 19 is attached to the locking device.

To lock the introductory machine, it is necessary to release the screw 21 with the key 19, release the bar 23 and move it to the right, placing it above the handle 18 of the introductory machine, and then fix the bar by tightening the screw.

The rollers are mounted on rolling bearings located in the oscillating brackets 6, 7. working surface the table is made by a lever-eccentric mechanism 8, by turning the handle 9.

In the table there is a tension mechanism 10 of the chain 11, the drive of the table rollers. The chain is tensioned using spring 12, which presses sprocket 13 against the chain.

The table is fixed in a given position by turning the handle 10 (see Fig. 3), through the eccentrics 13 (see Fig. 7), screw 14, stem 15, guide 16.

Table travel mechanism (see Fig. 5)

The mechanism for moving the table consists of an electric motor 26, a V-belt drive 27, a worm gear 28, chain drive 29, travel screws.

Manual movement of the table is carried out by the handwheel 30, which must be pressed in the axial direction, engaging the pulley with the half-coupling 32 and only then rotate the handwheel, moving the table, while the limit switch 33 will turn off the electric motor for mechanical movement of the table. After removing the axial load from the handwheel handle, spring 31 returns the coupling half and the handwheel to their original position.

The cutting mechanism of the machine consists of a knife shaft and a knife shaft drive. The body of the knife shaft 1 (Fig. 8) of a cylindrical shape has four grooves placed parallel to the axis of the shaft, in which straight knives 2 are installed.

The knives are fastened with wedges 3 and screws 4. The knives are set with screws 5 and nuts 6.

The knife shaft housing is mounted on ball bearings 7 placed in split supports 8, 9.

The knife shaft supports are attached to the frame.

The rotation of the knife shaft is carried out from the electric motor by a V-belt transmission.

Knife sharpening. The resistance of knives without resharpening is 3 - 4 hours of operation according to GOST 6567-76.

Properly sharpened knives should provide a roughness of the treated surface of no more than Kg 100 microns. If the surface roughness exceeds the specified value, the knives must be resharpened. In the process of repeated regrinding, grinding of knives occurs. It is allowed to work with knives with a width of at least 20 mm.

The clamping elements of the machine include front and rear clamps. The front clamp is used to create a support for the wood fibers at the point where the knife exits the material and to prevent chipping.

By design, the front clamp is sectional. The clamping sponge of the front clamp consists of narrow sections 1. The pressure of each section is carried out by a spring 2 through a ball, which are placed in a common axis 3. Each section of the clamp has the ability to swing on the axis 4. The sections are mounted with axes on two cheeks 5.

The rear clamp 6 is made in the form of a solid beam, mounted on two cheeks 7 and has the ability to rotate on the flanges of the knife shaft relative to its axis.

The supporting rollers 4, 5 (see Fig. 7) of the table when processing wood blanks are installed 0.1-0.4 mm above the working surface of the table. The lower value corresponds to the processing of blanks from hard rock wood, more - for processing blanks from softwood.

Installation of the rollers in height relative to the working surface of the table is carried out with the handle 9.

The feed mechanism of the machine is four-roller, which consists of two upper and two lower feed rollers.

The top feed rollers are assembled on individual supports and consist of a front corrugated 65 (see Fig. 6) and a rear smooth 70 roller. The lower feed rollers are smooth and mounted in the table.

The front feed roller 1 (see Fig. 10) in the SR 6-10 machine is solid corrugated, and in the SR 8-2.01 machine it is sectional (Fig. 10a). It is mounted on two ball bearings 2 placed in swing arms 5 and 6.

The swing axes of the brackets are fixed in supports 3 and 4 through bushings 7 and 8.

At the request of the customer, the SR 6-10 machine can be manufactured with a sectional corrugated shaft.

On the shaft 2 (Fig. 10a) there are longitudinal slots-grooves in which the thrust strips of the section rings 1 are placed. The centering of the ring 1 relative to the axis of the shaft 2 is carried out by rubber bushings 7.

The roller is pressed against the workpiece to be processed with the help of a spring through the rods.

A claw guard 11 is installed in front of the feed roller (see Fig. 11). Raising the claw protection is done by turning the axis 9.

Spring 10 returns the claw protection to its working position.

The front feed roller assembly includes a machine control panel, into which an axle with sound-absorbing elements in the form of separate bars 12 is inserted.

The rear feed roller 10 (see Fig. 8) is made smooth, mounted on ball bearings 11, placed in swing arms 12, 13. The swing axles 14 of the arms are attached to detachable supports 8, 9 together with the knife shaft housing. The roller is pressed against the workpiece by springs.

Feed drive (see Fig. 12)

The feed drive consists of a motor 1, coupling 2 and gearbox 3 mounted on plate 4.

The desired feed rate is set by turning the switch on the machine control panel to the desired feed rate.

The device is designed to stop the knife shaft when changing knives (see Fig. 14). The device consists of a body 1, a screw 2, a rod 3, a spring 4. The knives are changed only when the knife shaft is fixed. To do this, the device is installed on the right cheek of the front clamp, and is fastened with screw 2. After fixing the latch on the cheek of the clamp, carefully turning the cutter shaft, lower the stopper 4 of the latch into one of the four grooves of the cutter shaft. The change of knives is carried out sequentially with a fixed knife shaft.

After changing the knives, the lock must be removed from the machine.

Tool sharpening

For sharpening knives mounted on the cutter shaft of the machine, serves sharpener. For all questions regarding its use and operation, please refer to the user manual for the sharpener.


The control device is designed to set the cutting edges of the knives relative to the axis of rotation of the knife shaft to a cutting diameter of 128 ± 0.05 mm.

The device consists of a body (1), a dial indicator (2) and a tip (3).

When the fixture is installed on the cutter shaft housing, the tip contacts the knife blade. The difference in the indicator readings at the extreme points should not exceed 0.05 mm.

Electrical equipment of the CP 6 machine Fig. 15 contains:

  • M1 - asynchronous electric motor with a squirrel-cage rotor - knife shaft drive;
  • M2- asynchronous two-speed electric motor with a squirrel-cage rotor - feed drive;
  • MOH- asynchronous electric motor with squirrel-cage rotor - table movement drive;
  • Limit switches- controlling the position of the side doors, the exhaust funnel and the extreme positions of the table;
  • Remote controller- starting and protective equipment located on the console and in the niche of the frame.

The following voltages are applied to the machine:

  • power circuit 50 Hz, 380 V;
  • control circuit 50 Hz, 110 V;
  • alarm circuit 50 Hz, 24 V.

The control panel is located in the upper part of the machine casing, and the electrical cabinet in the niche of the bed.

To turn on the machine, an introductory switch Q1 is installed in the electrical cabinet, the drive of which is brought out.

The opening for the input of the supply wires is made at the bottom, on the side wall of the electrical cabinet.

The input must be carried out with a wire of the PVZ brand with a cross section of 2.5 mm² in black for power circuits and green-yellow for grounding, for СР8-2.01. – section 4 mm².

Description of the operation of the electrical circuit (see Fig. 16)

Before switching on the machine, it is necessary to open the electrical cabinet door and check the status of switches Q1 and Q2, and then close the electrical cabinet door.

By turning on the input switch Q1, power is supplied to the power circuits, control and signaling circuits. The signal lamp H1 should light up on the control panel.

The knife shaft drive is turned on by the S6 button, while the K3 magnetic starter is turned on, closing its contacts in the power supply circuit of the knife shaft motor M1.

The feed drive is activated with the S8 button located on the control panel, when the knife shaft drive is turned on. This turns on the magnetic starter K6, closing its contacts in the power circuit of the electric motor M2.

When the knife shaft and the feed drive are switched on, the corresponding signal lamps NC, H4 and H5 light up on the control panel.

The feed rate is changed by switch 59, by switching the speeds of the two-speed electric motor M2.

Switching off the electric motors M1 and M2 is carried out by pressing the buttons 51, located on the control panel, or 52, located in the right niche of the rear of the machine.

To stop the knife shaft drive, use electrodynamic braking, the intensity of braking is set by the adjusting resistor of the control unit, and the braking time should not exceed 15 s (it is regulated by the K4 starter pneumatic attachment).

To regulate the block of electrodynamic braking of the knife shaft drive, it is necessary:

  1. set the time delay of the pneumatic attachment of the K4 starter equal to 15 s;
  2. set the variable resistor slider of control unit A to the middle position;

To increase the intensity of braking, the resistor slider is turned clockwise, to decrease it, counterclockwise.

Consider the operation of the circuit during electrodynamic braking of the drive of the knife shaft M1. When the knife shaft drive is turned off, buttons S1 or S2 turn off the starter K3 and contact (16, 17) turns on the starter K5.

Starter K5 closes its contacts in the power circuit of electrodynamic braking, supplying power to braking unit A, contact (2, 16) of the pneumatic attachment of starter K4 opens after t = 15 s, sufficient to completely stop the knife shaft drive.

The adjustment is considered correct if, when one of the “General Stop” buttons is pressed, the knife shaft drive motor rotates for 15 seconds, and immediately after the motor stops completely, the brake contactor is turned off.

Table travel drive M3 turns on when the cutter shaft drive is off in jog mode using the S11 and S13 buttons located on the control panel. Table travel is limited by limit switches S10 and S12.

In accordance with the technical specifications, the AIR series electric motors installed on the machine allow no more than 10 on-off cycles per hour.

From a cold state, the electric motor can be switched on and off with electrodynamic braking and immediately repeat the on-off cycle. Subsequent on-off cycles can be repeated at intervals of at least 5-6 minutes, but not more than 10 cycles per hour.
