How to make your own spinner. How to make a spinner with your own hands without a bearing: the best master classes. What is included in this device? The spinner consists of

Spinners entered mass fashion not so long ago, but in just a few months they won the hearts of not only adults, but also children. Today, spinners spin everywhere: on the street, at work, in the subway and even in kindergarten! And every child wants his toy to be somehow different from those that his peers already have. You can buy an original spinner, but such a toy is not cheap, and finding a unique spinner takes a lot of time. The best decision- make a spinner yourself.

So, we bring to your attention several simple ways to make a spinner with your own hands from materials that every home has.

1. How to make a spinner from plastic caps?

Materials: caps from any plastic bottles the same size (4 pieces), plasticine, hot glue, nail, scissors, lighter and toothpick.

What do we have to do: put plasticine in 3 lids, use hot glue to seal the remaining space of the lids. Take the fourth lid (without plasticine) and make a hole in it, for example, with a heated nail. Glue the caps with sand to the one where you just made a hole. Take a glue stick and cut 2 small pieces (1 cm) from it. Break a toothpick in half and put a piece of glue on one end (make sure that the sharp tip of the toothpick does not stick out) and place it in the center of your future fidget spinner. WITH reverse side Place the remaining piece of glue stick on the tip of the toothpick. Your spinner is ready!

For more interesting looking, you can paint the caps in different colors acrylic paints.

2. How to make a spinner from cardboard?

Materials: plastic bottle caps, cardboard, scissors, marker, awl or nail scissors, glue, 3 coins and a pen refill.

What do we have to do: Using the lids, draw 4 circles on the cardboard in the shape of your future spinner. After this, cut out 5 such blanks and glue them together, carefully gluing the edges. Next, cut out smaller circles. Using an awl or thin nail scissors, make a hole in the center of the spinner. Glue 3 coins or any stickers on the sides of the blanks.

Next, take the set aside pen shaft and carefully cut 1 cm from it. Make small holes in the center on two small circles. Insert the cut piece from the handle shaft into one of the circles and glue it along the edges of the hole to securely fix it. Insert this circle into the center of your spinner and glue the second circle on the back side. The two remaining small circles can be glued on top of the ends of the rod. To make your spinner spin faster, place some kind of spacer between the spinner blank and the small circles (in our example we used metal pendants).

Ready! Let your child decorate his spinner as he wants, you can use glitter, stickers, rhinestones and other decorations.

3. How to make a spinner using bearings?

Materials: bearings (3 pcs), tie clamps, glue gun or superglue (for a more complex spinner).

What do we have to do: wrap cable ties around the bearings on all sides. Cut off the extra clamps and that's it - the spinner is ready!

To make it more bright and attractive, you can make the design more complex. Take 7 bearings, place 6 of them around the seventh. You will not use all 7 bearings, you will only need 3 circular and 1 central. You need the remaining bearings only for accurate measurements, so we will leave only those that form a triangle. Glue everything necessary details by using glue gun or superglue. The spinner is ready! Decorate the spinner as you wish. You can glue the fluffy wire, apply glue to the sides of the spinner and cover the edges with glitter.

Rest assured, no one else will have spinners like your child’s!

The spinner is a very popular thing among teenagers and adults. It helps to concentrate thoughts, relax, and relieve psychological stress. You can buy a spinner in almost any store, but it is much more interesting to make it yourself. Below are instructions for assembling different spinners with your own hands.

How to make a spinner with your own hands - a simple spinner

In order to make a simple one with your own hands, you will need the following materials:

  • 5-6 bearings.
  • Ties.
  • We spread the bearings lengthwise, pressing them tightly against each other.
  • We connect 3 ties in the shape of a triangle.
  • We put the resulting figure from the ties onto the bearings.
  • We tighten the bearing on one side so that they fit the bearings tightly. We cut off the protruding tails. The resulting structure should look like caterpillars.
  • We take 2 more ties and tighten them vertically, along the edges of the second bearing. We cut off the protruding tails.

The spinner is ready.

How to make a spinner with your own hands - a star spinner

In order to make a star spinner with your own hands, you will need the following materials:

  • 4 bearings.
  • Super glue.
  • Threads.
  • Sandpaper.
  • Soda.

We perform the following simple steps:

  • We arrange the bearings as follows: two vertical bearings are pressed tightly against each other, the remaining two are on the sides of the second vertical one.

  • We clean the spinners with sandpaper in the place where we will glue them.
  • We glue the spinners in the shape that we set initially, sprinkle the gluing areas with soda for greater strength.

  • We wrap the joints of the bearings with threads.

  • We also put super glue on the threads to prevent them from unraveling.
  • The spinner is ready.

How to make a spinner out of wood with your own hands

In order to make a spinner out of wood with your own hands, you will need the following materials:

  • A piece of wood.
  • Drill.
  • 3 bearings.
  • Sandpaper.
  • Pencil.
  • Saw.

We perform the following simple steps:

  • We place three bearings on a piece of wood, at an equal distance from each other.
  • We outline the bearings with a pencil.
  • We connect the resulting circles so that we get a figure with the shape of a caterpillar.

  • We step back half a centimeter from the caterpillar and draw the shape of the future spinner.
  • We drill circles with the expectation that the bearings will sit tightly in them.
  • Cut out the resulting shape.

  • We clean the resulting form with sandpaper, get rid of sharp corners and splinter.
  • We insert the bearings.

The spinner is ready. If desired, you can always paint it any color using a spray bottle.

The spinning toy that is fashionable today is enjoyed by teenagers, children and older people – especially the ever-tired and stressed “office plankton”. The spinner is designed to relieve stress, keep a person occupied for a while, distract from sad and difficult thoughts, and at the same time train “sleight of hand.” Today, at the peak of its popularity, a spinner can be bought in almost any store. But you can also make a twister with your own hands from scrap materials and various garbage. It won't take much time or effort.

What is a spinner?

To understand what to start with, you need to understand what a spinner is and “what it’s eaten with.”

The fashionable toy has many names: spinner, hand spinner, fidget spinner, hand spinner. It is a figure with three blades arranged radially.

In the center there is a metal bearing that holds them.

The toy is made from materials such as titanium, copper, brass, stainless steel, plastic. Depending on the material and design of the spinner, the speed and duration of its rotation and the sound vibration that comes from it depend.

The spinner was invented in the 90s of the twentieth century, but gained popularity only in 2017. At first, the funny spinner went around all the schools in the world - during breaks, students performed various tricks with the spinner. They were even banned in American schools on the grounds that playing with a fidget spinner distracts children from their studies and makes it difficult to concentrate.

Then the “miracle spinner” crawled into the offices. Some believe that it can help you concentrate or, on the contrary, relax, as, for example, a top or a yo-yo helped before. Forbes called the fidget spinner a “must-have office toy of 2017.”

To “be in trend” you need to own it. So let's get to work!

Simple ways to make a spinner from scrap materials

Experienced life hackers have long come up with ways to make a spinner from what they have at hand. All materials are used, including basic things like cardboard, plastic caps (soda pop), buttons, coins.

Despite the fact that the price of a toy does not exceed a few dollars (the average cost in Moscow is 250 rubles), craftsmen do not give up trying to create something creative “of their own.” Again, “to keep my hands busy.”

Spinner made of plastic caps

This is a simple craft to do, which, however, will require some effort and diligence.

For work you will need:

  1. Four covers.
  2. Glue stick and gun.
  3. Plasticine or kinetic sand (if available at home).
  4. Toothpick.
  5. Nail or knitting needle.
  6. Lighter
  7. Scissors.

Sand or plasticine is placed alternately into three bottle caps - up to the top. This is done so that the blades are heavy, so the turntable will spin.

The remaining space must be carefully filled with a glue gun.

A hole is made in the remaining lid (using a heated knitting needle or nail) - exactly in the center.

Then three petal covers are laid out around the base with a hole. There should be the same distance between them. How to check? Place another similar lid between them.

All three parts are glued using a glue gun.

Two pieces of 1 cm each are cut from the glue stick. One is put on the base of the toothpick, it is passed into the center of the toy. The second end also needs to be “secured” with a rod.

The pinwheel can be beautifully decorated, for example, painted with acrylic paints; they adhere well to plastic. Homemade spinner ready!

step-by-step instruction

Cardboard spinner without bearing

To make this toy, again, you will not need materials that are difficult to work with or those that are impossible to find.

Necessary:

  • cardboard;
  • spinner template;
  • 3 coins;
  • glue;
  • pen rod;
  • awl;
  • materials for decoration (paints, rhinestones, etc.)

The hardest thing is to find a ready-made spinner template. This can be done on the Internet, or you can draw it yourself using a marker and the same plastic cover(or coins, or buttons) - just lay them out next to each other and circle them.

To work, you will need two pieces of cardboard.

You will also need 4 smaller circles (for example, circle a coin of a smaller denomination).

Coins are attached to one of the templates using glue - each on its own blade. These are weights. They should be slightly smaller than the diameter of each circle.

The coins are coated with glue on top and a second blank template is glued on.

A hole is made in the center of the resulting cardboard spinner. You need to insert the rod from the handle into it and cut it - 1 cm is enough.

In two circles of smaller diameter, a hole is also made.

The remaining two remain untouched.

Before proceeding with the final work, the toy must be painted. Will fit regular paints– watercolor, gouache – or markers.

You can show your imagination and make a bright model out of the pinwheel, for example, matching the color of your favorite superheroes.

You can use rhinestones, Velcro and other elements for decoration. They sit on the glue, but should not interfere with playing with the turntable.

How is a spinner assembled? A rod is inserted into one of the small circles. You need to coat its base with glue, insert it into the hole in the toy and press it on top with a second circle.

The remaining two circles are attached to the outside so that the rod is not visible, and the toy lies comfortably in the hand.

The spinner is ready!

step-by-step instruction

There are many other options for making a spinner at home, but the ones presented here are the simplest. Even a child can cope with this task.

Conclusion:

The spinner is a super fashionable anti-stress toy today. To be on trend, you can make a pinwheel with your own hands. You don’t need money for this - all the materials can be found at home - just a little free time.

Good day to all. In this article I will tell you how to do a simple toy spinner. Everything is done very simply, and most materials can be obtained completely free of charge.

For this we need:

  • 5.45 shells (I picked mine up at a combat shooting range, although you can find them at any training range or order them online).
  • Bearing ABEC 5 (Ideally ABEC 7, was extracted from the wheel of an old skateboard, you can also find it in a car store or order it on AliExpress).
  • Wooden block (Any hard rock wood, specifically in this case - walnut).
  • Epoxy resin (To glue it all together is an ideal option).

Once everything is prepared, we begin production. By using step drill Drill a hole of the required diameter for the bearing.

We clamp the sleeves into the drill chuck and at low speeds, leaning against sandpaper, we begin to sand them until the paint is completely removed.

Remove the boots from the bearing, clean it by generously spraying with WD-40
Next, coat the edges of the bearing with epoxy resin, press it into a block, and only after that drill the side holes for the sleeves.
This is done so that the block does not burst, because in my case the walls turned out to be a bit thin.

In the end, I decided to put the drill aside and widen the holes using an engraver to the desired diameter. We glue the sleeves together (still the same epoxy resin), we also coat the holes in the block with epoxy and press the sleeves in. We leave it all to dry for 6 hours and in the end we enjoy a simple toy made by ourselves.

I found on the Internet that spinners are made from waste bearings.

What is a Spinner?

At the end of 2016 new trend devoured America. A little more and our countries will also not be silent from English word Spinner, literally - spinner. They write on the Internet that this is a very effective tool for self-regulation, that it should be used to relieve anxiety and calm down, to reduce stress and anxiety. The toy will also help increase tactile sensitivity and develop fine motor skills fingers, which in turn promotes concentration, development of intellectual abilities, and strengthening of memory. In short, a spinner is an anti-stress.
Looking at various options, I came up with and drew my own. And now I want to share with you instructions for creating a spinner.

Making a spinner with your own hands

Print and cut out the drawing of the spinner.

We glue the cut out stencil to a piece of 10 mm plywood. The thickness of the plywood should be equal to or slightly greater than the width of the bearing. Using a jigsaw, we cut out the workpiece along the contour. On at this stage The main thing is to carefully cut out the concave surfaces, because they are the most difficult to process in the future. It is also advisable to cut curved surfaces as close to the contour as possible, but since they are easier to reach with any tool, this is not so critical.

To increase the moment of inertia, it is necessary to provide weights. The most simple option, in my opinion, are coins glued to each other. For 10 mm plywood, you need to glue 8 10-kopeck coins together. Since the 2 outer coins will be decorated, for now we are making weights from 6 coins.

We level the internal surfaces of the workpiece using a drill. We carefully and quickly bring the outer surface to the contour using a grinder with a grinding wheel. We remove all remaining irregularities manually with sandpaper.

Place and drill centering holes. First, we drill holes in the wood for the bearing and weights. I'm using a 608 bearing with an outer diameter of 22mm, so I drill the center hole with a 20mm stylus. And the diameter of a 10-kopeck coin is 17.4, so I drill the outer holes with a pen with a diameter of 16 mm. In order not to damage the outer layer, it is necessary to drill holes to the middle, and then, unfolding the workpiece, continue on the other side. You can use any bearing, you don’t have to take the same one as mine.

Using a drill, we adjust all the holes to the required diameters. The main thing is that the bearing has an interference fit, otherwise you will have to glue it in. The holes for the weights must be made so that coins can easily pass through them.
To make the design easier, remove the rounding radii along the entire perimeter of the workpiece. I didn't foresee this moment in advance, so I had to draw the borders manually. This defect has already been corrected in the new version of the drawing. If someone wants to make their spinner even lighter, then they can cut the blank along the contour.
Having completely finished with sanding, we move on to puttying. It is necessary to cover the part with putty in order to completely hide all the irregularities, and also so that after painting it is not clear what the spinner is made of.
While the putty dries, prepare the top coins for painting. Gently, so as not to tear off the skin from the fingers, sand off upper layer from 6 coins. The easiest way to do this is from the denomination side. With the same success, you can half-clamp the coins in a vice and go through them with a file, and then turn them over and go through them again.
We paint the coins with yellow spray in two layers. Let the paint dry a little between coats. When the putty dries, sand off the unnecessary layer with fine-grained sandpaper. It is also necessary to remove all the putty from the surface of the holes, otherwise when pressing in the bearing and coins it will fall off and the unpainted layer will be visible.

Having completely processed the part, we cover it in two layers of black spray paint.

After all the parts have dried, we begin assembly. On one side we insert 3 decorative coins into the case. On the other hand, we apply super glue from pressed weights. In this case, the main thing is that the first coin does not fly out, otherwise you can stain the case with glue and also scratch it. Apply more superglue and press in the remaining coins, while holding the coins on the other side.
Before installing the bearing in its place, we insert a wooden clip for holders into its inner hole. The chopstick should fit tightly and protrude from the body by 1 millimeter on each side. Press the bearing into the seat.
In principle, the spinor is ready and works great, but you need to hide the bearing with something. I made these medallions out of plastic and glued them to the chopstick. If you want to do something similar, you can cut two disks out of plywood. Well, if you’re too lazy to bother, you can use two coins or buttons as holders.
Before testing the spinner, be sure to let the glue dry completely.
That's it, the spinner is ready!

The result is a very original trinket to keep your hands busy. In addition, I can say with confidence that neither you nor your friends have ever seen anything like this before, so such a thing can surprise and, albeit briefly, attract the attention of others. I, in turn, am pleased that I found some use for the ownerless bearing. Later, I’ll probably make a two-bladed spinner from the second bearing. If you are interested in this topic, write about it in the comments and I will definitely make another instruction.
