How to water fresh flowers in a box. Caring for bouquets in hat boxes

Delivery from 8:00 am

Caring for flowers in a basket

Our store pleasantly surprises its customers with original compositions and the quality of the flower delivery service provided in Kirov.

Today, traditional bouquets are increasingly giving way to flower baskets. How to preserve such beauty longer - our experienced florists will be happy to tell you about this.

The main difference between flowers in a basket is that a vase is not required. Accordingly, there is no need to change water every day and use disinfectants for washing the container. The secret of the freshness of flowers lies in a special sponge (bioflora), which serves as the basis for creating the composition. Soft material perfectly retains moisture - this moisture is taken by plant stems fixed in the sponge.

Caring for such compositions depends on the temperature and humidity in the room. In conditions of high temperature and low humidity, the bioflora quickly loses liquid, and then the “living” gift needs more frequent watering. At night, it is better to move flowers in baskets to a cooler place (in summer - on the balcony, in winter - closer to the windows). Plants (especially roses) do not like dust and do not tolerate noise well, so if you want to keep the bouquet fresh, do wet cleaning more often, and also try to avoid quarrels and loud music.

How to water flowers in a basket with a sponge

Flower arrangements in a basket should be watered daily and only with settled water (at high temperatures in the room you need to water more often). The irrigation liquid is allowed to sit for at least 2 hours.

Pay attention to the temperature of the water - it should be no higher than room temperature or a little cooler. The fact is that hot water speeds up the process of buds opening, while cool water, on the contrary, slows it down.

Suitable for watering:

  • a simple bottle with a narrow neck;
  • small watering can;
  • teapot with a thin spout.

It is important to remember: when watering, the liquid should not get on the flower heads. Once every few days, it is recommended to wipe the leaves from dust with a damp cloth. This must be done very carefully so as not to damage delicate plants.

How to extend the life of flowers?

Some simple tips will help you enjoy the beauty of the composition for as long as possible. What you should absolutely not do:

  • pull flowers out of a floral sponge;
  • water the tops of flowers with water;
  • store a “live” gift next to the fruit;
  • Place the basket close to heat sources.

As you can see, caring for flowers in a basket requires a minimum of time and effort. But thanks to these simple rules plants will delight the eye for a long time and awaken pleasant memories.

Flower delivery to mom

Mom is the closest and dearest person. She did not sleep at night by the crib, treated colds, and always cared for and loved her children. Being a mother is the most hard labour on the ground. Advantages of ordering a bouquet through an online store

The number of our citizens using the services of online stores to purchase all kinds of goods is constantly growing. Even such a seemingly elementary question as purchasing gifts, flowers for an anniversary or for another occasion is increasingly becoming more convenient to solve via the Internet, saving precious time. Moreover, this is not at all following fashion and not just copying someone else’s experience...

What flowers to give for your 50th anniversary

When a person turns 50 years old, it is very an important event. Still, not everyone is given the opportunity to live half a century. For this anniversary, you need a good bouquet of flowers that the hero of the day will remember for another 50 years.

Present43 conducted a survey among 50 representatives of the fair sex and identified all the patterns of a first date. We share with you the 10 golden dogmas of successful meetings. Never forget them!

– a practical and beautiful gift that does not cause much trouble for the recipient. Nevertheless, minimal care of the composition is still necessary. In this article, we'll show you how to extend the life of a floral gift with a little effort to keep the joy of a basket of plants alive for as long as possible.

Features of caring for flower baskets

Arrangements in baskets require slightly different care than classic bouquets. The main and fundamental difference is that in the first case, a vase is not needed, which means there is no need to additionally wash the water container using chlorine-containing products.

To compose compositions in baskets, professional florists use a special sponge - bioflora, which is completely invisible from the outside. It is placed at the bottom of the basket. The material absorbs and retains moisture very well, so it nourishes the plant for a long time. In addition, the sponge helps to create and maintain the desired shape of the composition. The most popular forms of bioflora:

  • brick;
  • cone;
  • cylinder.

How to care for flowers in a basket with a sponge depends on the temperature and humidity in the room where the gift is placed. At high temperatures and low air humidity, water from bioflora quickly evaporates, so you need to replenish fluid reserves in a timely manner.

How to water the composition

The plants in the basket must be watered every day. If the room is hot, more often. For this you can use ordinary settled water. It is not recommended to water flowers with tap water. Ideally, the liquid should sit for about two hours.

As for the temperature of the irrigation liquid, it should not be high. Optimally - room temperature or slightly lower. Cool water slows down the process of buds opening, while hot water, on the contrary, speeds it up.

How to water flowers in a basket on a sponge? Can be used:

  • a regular bottle with a thin neck;
  • a small watering can;
  • teapot with a narrow spout.

The main rule is to prevent water from getting on the plant heads. You can and should wash the leaves from dust every few days. To do this, just wipe them gently with a damp cloth.

Important rules for caring for a flower basket

To ensure that the bouquet retains its freshness longer warm season, put the composition on the balcony at night. Don’t forget to wipe off dust and wet clean the room. Try to remove strong sound stimuli from the room (it has been proven that they do not tolerate noise well and fade faster).

  • store plants for a long time next to fruits (the latter begin to release ammonia over time);
  • pull flowers out of a sponge;
  • place baskets near heat sources;
  • water the plant heads with water.

That's all. You don’t have to be a professional florist to have plants that will please you for as long as possible. All the above procedures will take no more than 5-10 minutes of your time.

Caring for flowers in a hat box

Flowers in a hat box require exactly the same care as flowers in a basket, with the exception of some details. Firstly, do not take the flowers out of the oasis; it is unlikely that you will be able to insert them back. Secondly, use a watering can with a long narrow spout so that when watering, you don’t get the box wet. Some florists use a syringe for this. Thirdly, it is better to immediately remove fallen leaves that fall on the sponge so that they do not begin to rot. The floral sponge from the basket or box can be reused. After the flowers wither, it needs to be washed and dried, and only then re-soaked with water.

Features of caring for different varieties of cut flowers

Did you know that different flowers require different care and can stand in a sponge or vase different time. For example, a rose can stay in a sponge for up to 30 days if you water it with boiled water. The carnation will delight you for two weeks without special care. Spring flowers such as irises, tulips and daffodils love cold moisture. The sponge in which they stand can be kept chilled with ice cubes. But peonies love warm water; to water them, it can be heated or left to room temperature. Freesias fade unevenly; those branches that dried out earlier must be removed from the composition. Hippeastrum is not the most durable flower; it can last in a sponge for about one week. Orchids are very sensitive: if you drop a drop on a bud while watering, the water that gets on the petals can cause stains.

Caring for tulips in a hat box

Tulips need to be moved from the box to the vase on next day

A bouquet of tulips in a hat box differs from the others in that a floral sponge is not placed at the bottom. Tulips are wrapped in a film with water and a nutrient mixture, which means that such a bouquet can last only one day without intervention. The next day, you should remove the flowers from the box, wash, trim and place in a vase with running but settled water and add a nutrient mixture.

1. What does the “bouquet of the week” label mean? Why are these bouquets at a discount? Are these flowers fresh?

Yes, these are impeccably fresh flowers. We purchase them the same way as everyone else - to order from suppliers. Our workshop is located next to the bases, and every day we select the best flowers for your bouquets.

We offer discounts on these varieties because we know that our nearest suppliers have received a large supply of this particular type of flower. We do not waste time “walking” through the databases and searching for fresh flowers of this variety. This speeds up and simplifies the process of creating a bouquet. Order and don’t worry - you make our life easier, and we give a discount as a token of gratitude:)

2. How long can flowers last in a hat box?

Flowers in hat boxes are better than regular bouquets. For two reasons. First, the flowers are not left without water for a minute, because there is a reservoir of water inside the box. No matter how long you stand in traffic on the way to a date, rest assured that nothing will happen to the flowers. The second is that the flower stems are cut quite short, especially in midi bouquets. The shorter the flower stem, the easier and faster it is to absorb water. The now popular two-meter roses wither within a couple of days, because the water simply does not have time to reach the bud. And our neat bouquets remain presentable for up to 2 weeks.

3. How many roses are in the bouquet?

We compose each bouquet so that it looks really decent, and the number of flowers in the box depends on the volume of the bud.

In a large hat box there are from 39 to 49 classic roses (depending on the size of the bud). In midi - 19-29. If we talk about peony-shaped and spray roses, then a bouquet in a large box is made up of 31-45 branches, a midi bouquet - from 11-23 branches, 5-6 flowers on each. Single-headed peony roses: midi - from 9 to 23 roses, large bouquet from 23 to 39. Tulips: 45-49 in a midi box, 95-99 in a large box.

4. What are the dimensions of the composition?

Visually, the size of large bouquets in boxes is 30x40 cm, midi - 20x25 cm. For each bouquet we include a branded envelope with a flower care leaflet, a postcard with wishes and special flower food. Next, the entire composition is packaged in transparent decorative film, and on top we add a charming silk ribbon bow to match the flowers.

5. Are there discounts on bouquets?

Yes, we often announce special offers in in social networks, you can follow us at instagram. And weekly bouquets of the week appear on the site at a special price. In addition, for our regular customers there is a perpetual 10% discount on all bouquets.

6. Do you have representative offices in other cities?

No, we only work in Moscow. Beware of scammers - photographs of our bouquets are often stolen and passed off as their own in other cities..

7. What privileges do corporate clients have?

HOW TO WORK WITH OASIS CORRECTLY

Oasis- artificial porous material with capillary properties, absorbs well and retains moisture for a long time. In everyday life it is known as floral sponge, foam, piaflor, floral foam, but we will call this material oasis, since this is the name by which it is most widely known. Invented in Denmark (it happened by accident - the material was originally developed for aircraft construction, and not for floristry), the oasis underwent changes: the quality improved, new shapes and colors appeared. However, the main properties of the oasis - to retain moisture and securely hold flowers in compositions - remained unchanged. Oasis comes in two types: for fresh flowers and for working with dried flowers or artificial flowers. This book will present each type and “subspecies” of the oasis, the rules for arranging colors, fixing the material, and much more.

Technical material - an oasis for cut flowers

The traditional color of technical oasis, which is used to create compositions of fresh flowers, is dark green. This makes it invisible under plants in most cases. However, a green oasis must be decorated before placing flowers on it, but a decorative colored oasis is not. Oasis is a very light material, but it is able to absorb so much water that it becomes tens of times heavier than its original weight. There is only one way to saturate the oasis with moisture - put it on the surface of the water and let it sink into it (as it absorbs). Under no circumstances should you water a dry oasis from above or press on it to sink quickly. Such actions will lead to the fact that water will seep only into the outer layers, and the middle of the oasis will remain dry with air cavities, which will make it unsuitable for composing a composition, and such an oasis will only be able to “work” as a float. It is not recommended to reuse oasis for fresh flowers. The holes from the stems create voids with air in it, into which a cut of the stem can get trapped during repeated use. The flower will be left without water and will wither much earlier than the deadline for the composition.

Advice. Oasis is equally easy to cut both dry and moistened. However, if you have allergies, it is better to form the basis of the composition from an oasis soaked in water so that it tiny particles did not fly apart and you could not inhale them.

Variety of shapes

You can “cut out” almost any shape from a standard brick. If the composition must be large, then several briquettes will be used. The details of a complex “sculptural” composition are fastened together with wooden pins, and in large-scale works, the oasis is wrapped in a metal or plastic mesh or a frame of twigs is assembled around it, which will prevent the oasis from falling apart under the weight of flowers. This entire structure is carefully decorated, and only then flowers are installed in it. The industry quickly responded to the tendency among florists to model all sorts of shapes from oasis-bricks. The production of an oasis for the most traditional and popular types of compositions began: a Christmas wreath, a heart, a porta bouquet holder for a small bouquet, hemispheres for small tabletop compositions and even “cars” for garlands. All these forms are already attached to plastic base, which allows you to do without vases and flowerpots, placing flowers directly on the table or wall.
Such oasis forms are somewhat more expensive than ordinary briquettes, but they make the work much easier.

Oasis as the basis of the composition

The already moistened oasis is placed in the vase. Depending on the type of container, the base of the oasis composition is cut out with a sharp knife the desired shape and size, for example, for a cone-shaped vase you will need an oasis in the form of a wedge, and for a round one - in the shape of a cylinder. In no case should the oasis be pushed into the container, as this will cause the material to shrink and partially lose its properties. It is better to cut a few more pieces from the oasis so that it can easily, without forcing, fit into the required volume, thereby creating extra space for water in a vase.

Advice. The old standard oasis changes color as it dries. Such an oasis can only be re-hydrated in boiling water, but this is an exceptional measure, since any oasis is a disposable product.

With the radial technique, the oasis must rise above the upper edge of the container so that it is possible to place flowers and leaves at an angle, thus covering the edges of the vase. When placing the material in parallel, the requirements are different: the oasis must be below the edge of the vase.
To extra holes without weakening the structure of the oasis, think in advance where you want to place the plants. Each stem is first removed lateral processes, as well as spines and thick parts. Then be sure to make an oblique cut 2-3 cm long. The larger the cut area, the more freely the plant can absorb water, maintaining freshness for as long as possible. A stem cut at a right angle compacts the oasis underneath, destroying its capillary structure, thereby depriving the plants of the necessary moisture.

Methods for attaching an oasis

When using deep vessels, the problem of attaching the oasis disappears by itself. It is simply cut to the size of the container and placed in it. However, the beauty of the oasis is that it can be used to place flowers in the most unexpected places, even on flat trays and in openwork baskets.
Among the traditional methods of attaching an oasis are plastic tattoos that are glued to smooth surfaces with adhesive tape, and the oasis is already strung on them. If the vase is small and wide, then a piece of oasis in its center is attached crosswise with a special adhesive anchor tape, the ends of which are pressed against the edges of the vase. Anchor has green color, therefore it is not at all conspicuous and is as easy to decorate as the oasis itself.

Advice. Thin cling film will not only preserve the freshness of food, but also retain moisture for plants. Wrap the wet oasis in it if you plan to place it in a “leaking” container. The film, thin as mica, is easily pierced by the stems.

There are special containers for oasis - these are vessels with a round or rectangular internal recess or flat ones with sharp ribs at the bottom, which act as tattoos. These vessels are extremely functional and therefore require mandatory decoration. In baskets, the oasis is fixed with twine. It is thrown over the oasis, and the edges are pulled between the rods and tied. To prevent moisture from seeping through the basket, bottom and 2/3 side walls oasis are wrapped in polyethylene.

Tatyana Lokrina "Compositions on the oasis"

All women love flowers. And if they say they don’t like it, it means they’ve never really seen beautiful bouquets. Spectacular bouquets are not sold in tents, shops near the metro and "TsvetOptTorg"; they are made only to order by real floral masters. But that's not what we're talking about now. Flowers always give a feeling of beauty to any girl, and this is an indisputable fact. Unfortunately, everything in our life is mortal, and the life of cut flowers is also short-lived. But there are some secrets that can help you slightly extend the life of cut plants. Florists Yana Flowers are happy to share them with the readers of our blog.

In this article we will discuss the reasons for the rapid fading of flowers. So, after you bring home a bouquet, it can “die” quite quickly.

Reasons for rapid fading of flowers:

1. You did not prune the plants before placing them in water

This is one of the most important mistakes that almost half of all buyers make. If you do not prune the plant, it will not be able to drink, because after being in the air, the vessels of the stem become clogged. If you remove the plant from the water, you must prune the plant before putting it back into the water. Often, customers ask the florist to trim the plants in the store so that they don’t have to deal with this “nonsense” at home. But, let us repeat once again: flowers are trimmed only immediately before placing them in water. When purchasing, florists simply adjust the length of the plants to fit the same size, but this is not the same thing.

There is an opinion that ideally flowers should be cut directly under water in order to 100% eliminate air contact with the stem cut. In theory, yes, it sounds nice. But in practice, no one will prune flowers underwater. First of all, it's inconvenient. Secondly, it's inconvenient. And thirdly, no-no. Therefore, it is quite enough to make a cut in the air and immediately put the plant in water. And to the unfortunate bloggers who reprint advice about pruning underwater over and over again, we advise you to shoot yourself! Why do you write about something that you yourself have never done?

How to properly cut a plant?

The cut must be made with a sharp instrument. The stem must be cut, and not pinched with scissors, sawed with a blunt object, or broken (except for some plants). If you squeeze the plant's vessels when pruning, the plant will not be able to drink water and will therefore die.

At what angle is the cut made?

According to common opinion, the cut must be oblique, otherwise there’s no way. Now let's think logically. From the point of view of practical benefit, there is no difference between a stem cut straight and cut obliquely. The only difference is the area of contact of the stem with water. A stem cut obliquely has a larger area, so in theory it should feed on water better. But is this theory really true? According to many years of practical observations by the Yana Flowers team, this theory is not a panacea. It is important to make at least some kind of cut at any angle, otherwise your plant is guaranteed to soon wither from lack of moisture.

Well, we will leave the stories in various blogs regarding the inability of the plant to drink when the stem is cut straight, supposedly due to interference from the bottom of the vase, to the conscience of the “article writers” of the World Wide Web.

Where to make the cut?

Every plant has nodes on its stems. Some plants have more of them and are more noticeable, while others have the opposite. It is recommended to make a cut immediately above the nodal connection, but in no case along it, since saturation with moisture will be much worse. This is due to the structural features of plant cells and transitions between parts of the stem. If you have a stem with a small number of nodes, for example a rose, then it is enough to make a cut slightly higher than the previous cut. There is no talk of any “mandatory” two centimeters of indentation, since this plays absolutely no role. It is enough to retreat half a centimeter. If your cut shows black spots or other signs of aging and rotting, simply make a new cut a little higher until the resulting cut is fresh and free of foreign impurities. But this rule does not work if you have a plant that is initially colored through the stem, such as a blue rose or chrysanthemum. Then blue inclusions will be found along the entire length of the stem, and the cut will no longer be clean a priori.

Even though you have followed all the recommendations, the plant may bow its head and wither. In this case, update the cut of this plant again. Sometimes the cut ends up in a “bad place”, and water access to the plant is still limited. If the plant is already completely lethargic, then it can be restored to its original appearance quite easily and painlessly. Read about this in our article “How to revive a plant?”

2. You brought a bouquet from the cold and immediately put it in water

The mistake is that sudden temperature changes are stressful for flowers. Plants need time to adjust to the ambient temperature and “come to their senses” a little. Put a bouquet of flowers for half an hour just to lie in the atmosphere in which you want to put the bouquet in a vase.

3. You put the plants in a bath of water.

Friends, it is not advisable to wet plant buds! They rot and fall apart. Yes, many plants drink leaves, but the buds are created for pollination, i.e. reproduction. Do not immerse them in water.

4. You put the plants in ice water

The water temperature that 100% of plants can accept is room temperature. Or a little warm water– it is absorbed faster by plants. This is basic biology; warm food is always digested better.

5. You poured too much/too little water into the vase

This is a very common mistake made by many of our clients. U different types stems their needs for the water level in the vase. We will now talk about a standard medium vase about 30 cm high.

“Woody” stems (roses, hypericum, lilac) love a large amount of water. Pour water for the “woody” stems “to capacity”.

"Semi-woody" stems require half a vase's worth of water. For example, Chrysanthemum, Eustoma, Matricaria.

There are also non-woody and hollow stems that secrete mucus, which quickly causes the water in the vase to bloom. Plants such as gerberas, irises, and callas require only a 1/3 filled vase, since their stems quickly rot in water.

6. You don't change the water in the vase.

One day a client came to us and complained that his flowers weren’t standing well. According to him, he does everything correctly, adds Krizal to the flowers, prunes each flower, etc. It turned out that even when pruning the plants, the client did not change the water in the vase. And I put the plant in old (rotten, one might say) water with a new cut. And for this person, a real discovery was the fact that it is not enough to just cut the stem, you also need to change the water. Ideally, water changes should be done every day, if the weather is very hot - 2 times a day. If the flowers are in a cool room - where no more than +10 degrees, then once every two days. Between water changes, do not forget to wash the vase with cleaning products to kill fermentation bacteria as much as possible. Also remember to wash the stems that have been under water for some time. Or wipe them with a damp cloth.

7. You place flowers in a draft or direct sunlight

There should be no sudden temperature fluctuations. The lower the room temperature, the longer your bouquet will be stored. The minimum temperature value is not lower than +5 degrees. There must be ventilation in the room, but there should not be a draft where the plants themselves are located. Plants love moist air. Leaving a container of water will help you artificially humidify the air. Try to use a vessel with a wide evaporating surface area.

8. You place flowers next to fruits and vegetables.

Ripe fruits release gas - ethylene. It has a very bad effect on the plants adjacent to it. Plants next to fruits wither right before our eyes.

9. You put plants in one vase that you don’t want to keep together.

We are talking primarily about lilies and carnations. If possible, try not to place these plants with others in the same vase. Naturally, if you have a prefabricated bouquet, then you shouldn’t specially pull the carnation out of it. In this case, simply change the water more often. There are also paired incompatibilities, for example: forget-me-nots and daffodils, lilies and cornflowers, tulips and forget-me-nots with lilies of the valley.

10. You do not pick off those leaves of the plant that come into contact with water.

ONLY plant stems should be in the water. All excess growths of stems, thorns and small branches must be removed without fail. Availability large quantity Organic material in water contributes to rotting and the proliferation of bacteria, and therefore to accelerated fermentation and blooming of water.

11. You leave too much foliage on the plant.

All plants distribute water evenly both to the leaves and to the flower itself. If the plant has too many leaves, there may simply not be enough water for its upper part - the bud, then the flower will become sluggish until it dies completely. To avoid this, remove unnecessary foliage from the plants, leaving only the leaves close to the bud. This is why in stores you can sometimes see less foliage on plants than usual. This is not done to hide the old age of the flower, but to help its bud. Although it depends on which store, of course...

12. You do not use professional water disinfectants for plants

Of course there are a lot folk recipes such as vodka, aspirin, sugar, vinegar and a bunch of other things added to vases. What do you prefer: to be treated by a professional modern doctor with experience and modern means treatment? Or be treated by a village doctor who uses plantain and iodine mesh for all diseases? Take our advice - don’t skimp on a packet of a professional product called Chrysal, which dissolves in water before adding the bouquet. Moreover, if you buy expensive bouquets, then it’s ridiculous to save on a bag for 20 rubles. Krizal is a professional thing that really helps to disinfect water, and the plants last longer. Water blooms more slowly, and the very change of water in the vase can be done 2 times less often. In addition, Krizal contains special vitamins. There is a universal and special crystal - for each type of plant. The fact is that the plants sold in stores are grown artificially using growth stimulants and other chemical influences. These are not plants from your garden planted in manure. It is far from certain that folk remedies will help you with plants grown entirely artificially using chemicals, and special remedy Krizal is guaranteed to help. Trust florists Jana Flowers. Ask Krizal every time you buy flowers, and see for yourself how it works.

13. You don’t water flowers in a box, basket, or flower toy.

When the recipient is given a composition that is based on a special floral sponge for flowers, this composition must be watered regularly. Thus, the sponge will be saturated with water again and nourish the plants standing in it. IN hard to reach places for watering (this is especially true for flower toys), watering is done as follows: take a regular syringe with a needle, draw up water, stick the needle between the plants in different places sponges and spray a small amount of water into each area touched. Keep in mind that, for example, for toys made of flowers, each part of the body is a separate sponge. Therefore, it is watered into each part of the toy separately.

14. You don't pack plants to move them down the street.

We are talking about packaging for transportation, do not confuse it with a gift option. It is not always that such packaging is really needed, because at temperatures from +5 to +15, flowers do not need to be packed when moving, unless of course you are going to travel by public transport. In all other cases, packaging is extremely important. If the cold weather outside is less than 5 degrees, packaging is strictly required. Plants are made up of a lot of water. And as soon as this water inside the stem freezes a little, the plant is guaranteed to die. When water freezes, it expands and breaks the entire structure of the plant cells from the inside, so you cannot bring even a slightly frozen plant back to life. If it is too hot outside, then the plants increase evaporation, and therefore there is an intense loss of precious moisture. To make the plight of flowers a little easier, hide them from hot temperatures and direct sun rays for packaging. Naturally, we are not talking about leaving a fully wrapped bouquet in a stuffy car for “half an hour.” Packaging won't help here. In very hot and very cold weather flowers must be delivered to an environment comfortable for plants as quickly as possible.

Even if you live in the house next door to the store and buy one symbolic flower in sub-zero temperatures, your flower must be wrapped on the way across the street. You don’t go out naked into the cold, so why drag a defenseless plant there? The flower will not withstand temperature changes and, in theory, will die much faster. Especially if it is a delicate plant.

Also, do not forget that no self-respecting flower delivery company will offer walking courier services. Because the delivery time for flowers increases, and an ordered bouquet by a courier without a car can theoretically hit every “corner” on the way to you.

15. You don't spray plants that need it.

In hot weather, it would be a good idea to spray plants with regular-looking leaves with a spray bottle several times a day. Flowers absorb moisture through the leaves in the same way as through the stem. Similar to a person breathing through skin. So don't forget about similar method"watering". For example, roses really love spraying their foliage. Just remember that it is not advisable to wet the buds of plants. Very important - do not spray the “velvet” leaves, they don’t like it.

16. You buy flowers in tents, “TsvetOptah”, “TsvetRoznitsa” and similar offices

Tents are separate pavilions with no professional equipment for flower care, for example, a refrigerator. Both in winter and summer, flowers stand in poor conditions and are obviously sold in poor condition.

But most of Wrong purchases are made in so-called “flower hypermarkets”, where there are a bunch of dead bouquets or flowers in bundles. Moreover, sellers are strictly prohibited from making bouquets of flowers in bundles. In addition, there are no florists, only sellers, most of whom have no idea about floristry. Why is it forbidden to open packages? But because the entire operating system of such stores is built on a magic potion in which plants stand. As soon as you take out a bouquet or a pack of roses from this potion, the flowers fall apart before your eyes. Everything falls off, including the buds. That is why opening the packages is prohibited under penalty of dismissal. As is known, returning flowers is impossible by law. And I bought it, I mean I bought it. All bouquets in such offices are made at the main warehouse by “professional florists” from Uzbekistan. And then the resulting “masterpieces” are taken to stores. Half of the bouquets are outright rotten. Poor flower quality is skillfully masked by supporting plant buds with greenery and neighboring plants, or by adding packaging tinsel. Or the most trump option (and alluring to tasteless buyers) - eyelashes on buds made of packaging mesh. At the same time, unfortunate buyers of these “masterpieces” do not understand that the mesh is needed not for beauty, but to prevent the bud from falling apart.

Where does this cheap, half-rotten flower come from?

The flower is bought in Holland at stock after an auction. At the stock market they sell everything that is left after the trading day for next to nothing. Have a nice flower There are not and cannot be such stores, because the entire principle of operation of the low-price mass segment of the flower market will collapse. Simply put - expensive and rich for 300-500 rubles. Which is already funny. And expecting miracles in terms of durability from initially bad bouquets is even more ridiculous. But “people are hogging it.” People flock there in droves, which is why “hypermarkets” are still thriving today. And the saddest thing is that the bouquets are so tasteless that it’s a shame to even sell them, and it’s doubly a shame to buy someone as a gift.
