Work on the installation of a well from reinforced concrete rings takes a lot of time. And in order for the entire concrete structure to subsequently remain intact for a long time, as well as to prevent accidents, a well floor slab is used. Such a structure is located exclusively on top of the last (upper) concrete ring, forming a kind of cover equal to the diameter of the ring itself. It is worth noting that the well floor slabs are not a hatch. To do this, there is a hole in the plate, smaller in diameter and suitable for mounting the hatch.

Important: concrete slab is solely the basis for fixing a metal inspection hatch in it. In this case, the plate can have both a round shape and a square one. As a rule, each concrete product is marked with alphanumeric values. In the case of floor slabs, these symbols mean the name of the element, its dimensions and weight. And in that exact order.

The production of all concrete elements is made from durable heavy concrete in accordance with GOST 8020-90. In this case, the compressive strength of the material reaches B22.5 (M300), and in terms of frost resistance and freezing-freezing cycles it is not lower than 100. The use of such materials makes concrete elements resistant to sudden temperature changes, to increased exposure to moisture and heavy mechanical movements.

Basic requirements for the installation of PP (floor slabs)

  • According to requirements technical security, approved since the days of the USSR, all well floor slabs must be selected in strict accordance with the diameter (size) of the support ring and the concrete ring. Only in this case the safety of pedestrians and road transport is guaranteed.
  • If the well is laid out with bricks, the PP is installed either with a round or square section and exclusively on the last row of brick laying. At the same time, for the solidity of the structure, a concrete product in the form of a slab must be planted on cement mortar. This will secure the floor slab real estate.
  • A hatch is installed on a firmly mounted ceiling, which must have a base-frame under it, called the support ring. This design allows you to raise the hatch above the ground, which prevents rain and melt water from entering the well. In addition, thanks to the support ring, the load on the floor slab is reduced by 10 times.
  • To install the entire concrete structure or its individual elements, it is necessary to use heavy equipment, since the weight and dimensions of the elements are quite high. Sometimes a reinforced floor slab alone can reach 2 tons of weight.

A little about the support ring



In order for the entire structure of the well to be monolithic and withstand high loads, it is necessary to use only certified concrete elements manufactured in accordance with GOST. Application homemade items threatens emergencies with possible risk to human life. In addition, the use of simple brickwork instead of a support ring. This is also a gross violation of the rules prescribed in GOST 8020-90.

Important: it is worth knowing that both floor slabs and support rings are used absolutely for all types of wells (sewer, gas, communication, etc.).

Usually well rings are divided into three main types: with a diameter of 1000 mm, 1500 mm, 2000 mm and a height of 900 mm. If the design has a non-standard height, then additional rings are used. For well rings use a special form. Preliminarily, reinforcement made of a high-quality bar with a thickness of 0.6-10 mm is placed in the mold. Then it is poured into the mold concrete mortar. To make the resulting product strong and durable, I use heavy grades of concrete.

Sometimes the concrete mixture is made using various additives. For rigid concrete mixtures, plasticizers are currently used, with the help of which a plasticizing and air-entraining effect is achieved. A small amount of tiny air bubbles increases the mobility of the concrete mix. In addition, the frost resistance of concrete from this effect increases.

Also added to concrete mix hardening accelerators, which allows you to move the molded rings much earlier.
After the concrete is poured, the mold is vibrated for compaction. The solution settles, and, as necessary, a new one is added.

Currently, builders have adopted well ring with new mount. Such a ring has external and internal ledges, due to which they are firmly attached to each other. Therefore, the use of such rings makes it possible to exclude the slightest displacement.
