DIY vertical storage. DIY paper tray. Convenient organizer for storing toilet paper

February 17th, 2016

To organize all your things and keep your home clean, you need special boxes, bags and organizers. Some of these things can be found in stores and markets, while others can be made with your own hands. Here are a few interesting ideas, how and where you can store various things so that they do not take up much space and can be easily found:

1. How to store small items: mat-bag.

With the help of this mat-bag, which you can buy or make yourself from tarpaulin, rope and thread with a needle, you can easily put away small toys (construction sets, for example) after the children have finished playing.

2. How to make a jewelry organizer

If you stretch a fishing line or strong thread onto a regular frame, you can hang jewelry on it - it’s not only convenient, but also looks beautiful.

3. Containers for storing things.

You can also store different things in one or more magazine holders.

These coasters can be purchased at the store or you can make your own from boxes, such as cereal boxes.

Here's how it's done:

4. Storage of personal small items.

A fruit bowl can also be used to store small items such as earrings, lipstick, keys, keychains and others.

5. Storage systems.

If you find such a simple and functional shelf, then you can save a lot of space in the bathroom.

6. Convenient storage box.

For a bathroom or toilet, you can also order such a narrow chest of drawers, which takes up very little space, but at the same time you can store many necessary things in it. If you really want, you can make such a chest of drawers yourself.

7. Organizers for storing small items.

If you have such a basket or a box of similar sizes, then you can use it as an organizer for various small things. You can add small notes that will indicate what is in each compartment of the organizer.

8. DIY stationery organizers.

9. Convenient organizer for storing toilet paper.

10. DIY kitchen organizer

By placing several empty cans (preferably the same size) in one basket, you can store various kitchen utensils in it.

11. Organizer made from empty cans for storing things with your own hands.

To connect all the cans, use cardboard and wide tape. Glue strips of cardboard to the bottom of each jar. If desired, you can cover all the cans with tape around the perimeter.

12. DIY organizer for storing papers from boxes.

* Cut a small part of the box diagonally.

* Cut a piece from the next box bigger size to make a ladder when you connect it to the large box. It is advisable to compare the size of the next box with the size of the previous one.

* Cut an even larger piece from the third box.

* Connect all the boxes together using tape - wrapping it around all the boxes - or double-sided tape - gluing the boxes together.

*If you wish, you can wrap the entire structure with wrapping or colored paper to make it look more aesthetically pleasing. You can also decorate it to your liking.

The master class is designed for students in grades 4-6, with the aim of using waste material.

Purpose of the master class: teach students how to make a magazine stand, provide information about the step-by-step sequence of making the product; develop robotic skills with cardboard, napkins, glue, varnish; develop thinking, attention, creative imagination, memory; to cultivate children’s aesthetic taste and interest in design.

When we shop, we have no idea how useful cardboard packaging boxes can be in everyday life. Corrugated cardboard In addition to its strength, it is an environmentally friendly material, which allows it to be used in decoration. One of such decors can be a cardboard stand for folders. It is economical, easy to create, and its functionality depends on your creativity. Thus, we invite you to try yourself in creating interesting and unusual item interior, like a cardboard stand for folders.

We will need:

Carton boxes,

Scissors,

Pencil,

PVA glue,

White napkins, napkin with motif,

Brush, wide brush (painting brush),

A bowl for diluting glue with water,

White acrylic paint (or white gouache diluted with PVA glue in equal proportions),

Foam rubber (piece of sponge),

Colored acrylic paints or gouache,

Interior acrylic varnish (glossy).

Progress

1. Take cardboard box and mark the cut location on one side with a pencil. Let's cut it off. For symmetry, place the cut out part on the other side, mark it with a pencil and also cut it off.

2. If the cardboard box is thin, for strength we glue cardboard or a cardboard box selected according to size from the middle. If desired, you can make compartments using the lid of a shoe box, gluing it around the edges. The cardboard can be cut, unfolded, and selected according to the size of the box. Design, fantasize!

3. We tear the napkins into strips with our hands. We start gluing the box from the top, and then the sides. With your left hand we fold the strip into pleats (drape it), and with a brush, holding it in right hand, glue the strip along the edges with PVA glue and water (diluted equally). We glue the strip partly to save volume

4. A draped box comes out.

5. Paint the box with a wide brush. To easily paint the sides from the bottom of the box, place it on a board or some smaller object. We wait until the paint dries (approximately 10 hours)

6. Choose a napkin. Cut out the motif with nail scissors and separate upper layer napkins. We won't need the other two layers without a pattern for our work.

7. Using PVA glue, glue the motif from the napkin.

8. Using a sponge and a small amount of yellow acrylic paint diluted equally with water, lightly apply the background. We are waiting for it to dry.

9. Slightly blur the background using a sponge and black acrylic paint (or red, as in another version of the stand), diluted equally with water.

10. Using green (for the stem, leaves of the flower) and red (for petals) acrylic paints, paint on small elements.

11. Using a wide brush, cover the stand acrylic varnish and let it dry. After drying (the varnish does not stick when touched with your fingers), the stand can be used for its intended purpose.

12. These are the stands you get.

There is a catastrophic lack of space on the desktop; one storage box is somehow not enough for my papers. And like a first-grader, I have colored paper, PVA glue, scissors, and sheets of felt - and everything needs to be put somewhere. And I decided to make a box or tray for storing papers myself. It is done quickly - cut it out of cardboard and glue it together. However, first things first.

What you need to make a cardboard box with your own hands

  • Cardboard (I have thick corrugated cardboard from a packaging box)
  • Super glue
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Masking tape
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Stationery knife
  • Napkins (for pasting our beauty)

You will need a lot of space to cut out a full-fledged box for storing A4 papers - I freed up the table in the kitchen for this.

We start with the pattern. We mark the future box using a pencil and ruler.

You can make a solid box and then fold and glue it, but even my huge piece of cardboard was not enough for this, so I still cut out the front wall separately.

Using a ruler and pencil we make a pattern. I used a box I already had as a basis. The dimensions turned out to be:

1) Bottom: 27x10 cm

2) Sidewall: height - 30 cm, depth 27 cm

3) Front wall: 10x15 (10 cm corresponds to the width of the bottom, and the height can be varied as you like).

Cut it out. You can cut it with scissors, but thick cardboard is much more convenient to cut with a stationery knife. We also use a sharp blade of scissors to draw out the fold lines of the future box.

Cut out the front wall.

Fold the box along the fold lines.

All that remains is to glue it together. I didn’t know how to glue cardboard well (I had PVA, a glue stick and superglue), so I used superglue for reliability - it holds tightly.

For the second box, I made the front wall a little lower. And I cut this box out of double corrugated cardboard - I suffered wildly. Such thick cardboard is not needed for storing papers, but cutting it out is oh so hard

All that remains is to cover the box with napkins.

Iron the folds of the napkins.

To cover the outside of one box, you will need 3 napkins 30x30 cm - one for each side, and from the thirds we cut out three strips (on back wall, bottom and front wall).

Hello everyone! Today I will show you and tell you how to make a tray from a simple box. I already have a similar master class, you can watch it. In my opinion, such a DIY paper stand is very convenient for those who work with documents or simply who like to read newspaper magazines.

Unlike the horizontal holder, the vertical one saves a lot of space and is quite compact. Often this kind of organizer can be seen in offices, on desktops. Trays are mainly made of plastic and wood. In some store I even saw wicker ones made from wicker, but they are more suitable for home use for magazines and books.

By the way, they will be very convenient for schoolchildren to store colored paper, sketchbooks, notebooks and much more.

The good thing about my version of a document stand is that it is very easy to make. So, let's begin….

DIY paper stand

We will need:

  • A cardboard box from breakfast cereals or porridge. The denser it is, the better. I don’t recommend taking one that is too thin and soft. In this case, it will need to be strengthened on the sides with additional sheets of cardboard for density.
  • Scissors or utility knife.
  • Pencil.
  • Ruler.
  • Self-adhesive film. Wrapping paper will also work, but in addition to it you will need glue or double-sided tape.

First of all, cut off the top of the box so that nothing sticks out. On one edge, from the bottom, measure 11-12 centimeters. Connect this point and the top one on the opposite edge with a line. You should get a bevel like in the picture.

Roll out the roll of self-adhesive and place the blank on top. The figure shows that you need to measure the height of the box and add centimeters at the bottom equal to the width of the bottom + 2 or 3 cm. Bend 4 centimeters of paper and place the blank straight. Carefully glue it around the circle.

Fold the bottom first from the ends and then from the wide part. Cut off the upper protruding part of the film using scissors or a stationery knife. Press all edges well so that it sticks tightly to the tray.

That's basically it. If desired, the product can be decorated various decor, for example, ribbons, wooden figures or thick colored paper.

If you liked the master class, be sure to share it with your friends on social media. networks, and also subscribe to new blog articles.

I wish everyone creative inspiration and good luck! Kiss! Bye!

Instead of a preface.
As often happens, a lot of unnecessary boxes accumulate in the household, but instead of simply throwing them away, I suggest putting them into use.
So, how to make a vertical tray (folder) for papers.

Photo 1. Take an unnecessary cardboard box and cut it into whole pieces (side and lids) - I took a paper box.

Photo 2 and photo 3. Cut it into pieces, choosing the required form. The folder consists of 2 sides (photo 2) and 3 segments (the width of your tray depends on them, mine is 11 cm - photo 3).

Photo 4. We compose it according to the principle shown in this photo (the written or stained sides must be done inside Your tray. We fasten with tape (in small pieces) - this will be a fitting of parts.

Photo 5. We compose our future tray, align and finally secure all the parts together with wide tape.

Photo 6. Almost finished, but outwardly not very beautiful tray. Although it can already perform its function.

Photo 7. As an option for finishing a tray. I used the decoupage technique and my favorite napkins with sunflowers. You can decorate to your liking.
