Drawings are easy to find on the World Wide Web. Fortunately, progress has provided us with such opportunities.

Here are some ideas for building a dollhouse:

  • simple sketch;

  • complicated version;

  • New Year's dollhouse.

The complexity of the structure being built depends on your skills and abilities. First, all the parts are cut out of plywood and then assembled together. A dollhouse can be small or human-sized.

Take care to cut out doors and windows. Children can be involved in the design process. They will be able to decorate the dollhouse at their discretion. Your imagination also plays an important role. Housing for dolls can become a smaller copy of a real house with stairs, a bathroom, a bedroom, a living room, a nursery and furniture. Try it, it's very interesting and exciting.

Let's give a gift to the little princess

Things made with your own hands are always more valuable. If you decide to give a gift to your daughter, try constructing a dollhouse out of plywood with your own hands. Step-by-step instruction will be for you visual aid. Start by making a drawing. After taking all measurements, calculate the required amount of plywood. Go to the store and buy everything you need.

One side of the house, the façade, is always open. It should be comfortable for the child to play with such a design. If you want to make an exclusive dollhouse, think through everything down to the smallest detail, including the decor, and also equip it with lighting.

Necessary materials:

  • drawing;
  • plywood sheets;
  • electric jigsaw;
  • drill with various drill bits;
  • heavy-duty glue;
  • yardstick;
  • pencil;
  • ruler;
  • water-based or decorative paint;
  • brush;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • LED lamp;
  • power unit.

Step-by-step description of the creative process:

  1. We start by constructing a drawing. We place all the details separately on a sheet of paper. Indicate the desired size. You can take the dimensions specified in the photo.
  2. We transfer the drawing to plywood sheets. For convenience, we will use a ruler and a simple pencil.
  3. After we have drawn out all the details of the future dollhouse, we begin cutting them out. You can conveniently and quickly cut out parts from plywood using electric jigsaw.
  4. This stage is the most critical. We carefully and very carefully measure all sizes. It’s better to measure seven times. Otherwise, the house will not turn out beautiful and even. The parts must fit together perfectly.
  5. Let's immediately cut out all the details of the dollhouse. This is the mountain of individual pieces of plywood we ended up with.
  6. To avoid confusion when assembling the house, we will label each detail in accordance with our drawing.
  7. To make the house look like a real one, and for your princess to enjoy playing with such a design, we measure and cut out the doors and windows. You can't go anywhere without this.
  8. To make it more convenient to cut small windows and doorways from plywood, first drill four points.
  9. Now, starting from the hole, we will cut out the window and door using an electric jigsaw.
  10. We need to decorate part of the wall of the house and the balcony. To do this, draw two parallel lines and make symmetrical points on equal segments.
  11. Drill each point to create a through hole.
  12. We cut the distance between the holes using an electric jigsaw. It turns out this is an original carving.
  13. When all the details are prepared, take sandpaper and sand the plywood on all sides so that no splinters are scary for the little princess.
  14. Now we begin the assembly in accordance with the sketch.
  15. We treat the side sections of the plywood with wood glue, and then additionally fix them with small nails.
  16. We make sure that the nails do not penetrate through the plywood, otherwise the baby may get hurt.
  17. After we assemble the frame, we fix the floors on the floors. If you took the measurements correctly, these parts will fit perfectly.
  18. The finished house can be painted with water-based or decorative paint.
  19. After complete drying, you can start lighting the dollhouse. To do this, you need minimum power LED bulbs, as well as a power supply.
  20. We connect the wires and bring the lamps out into the holes made in the plywood.
  21. We install the power supply on the back wall of the dollhouse.
  22. Let's not forget to install a switch so that your daughter can independently turn on and off the lights for her dolls.

A doll house is the dream of most little girls. At such a young age, every baby visualizes real life and tries in every possible way to make his dreams come true. Therefore, it is important for parents to know how to make a house for a doll, which will have all the rooms, furniture and household items in a reduced version. This will help the child understand the purpose of many of them, as well as develop his design skills and other creative abilities.

The benefits of such an activity

If you don’t yet know how to make a house for a doll, then the learning process will be a fascinating lesson for both you and your daughter. Choose step by step Construction Materials. By connecting and combining them, you can give your child his first lecture on construction and installation. The girl will learn some of the properties of materials such as wood, plastic, cardboard (and others that you will use). The next step in the work will be the layout of the house, which, of course, will give the child an understanding of how the rooms should be located in residential buildings. In the end, you will arrange the furniture in the house, thereby getting your daughter interested in such a popular profession today as a designer. Well, let's start building a house for dolls with furniture according to one of the proposed options.

Choose your house structure

The doll's housing must certainly open - the roof or the main wall can be folded back, through which all rooms and floors will be visible. Let’s say right away that the second option is much easier to build, since the basis for it is in almost every house. It serves as old chest of drawers, cabinet, shelf and similar furniture elements. You probably already understand how to make these things and what it will take. Depending on the shelves, the number of levels will vary, so if the shelf is “one-story”, then the house can only be divided into rooms. If you make another overlap, the toys will not fit in it. When interior walls installed, we cover them with wallpaper or paint them in the colors that the baby chooses. We put miniature furniture in the rooms and send little friends there to live.

A more complex option - a folding roof

There are two answers to the question of how to make a house for a doll with a folding roof. The first is to also take some kind of cabinet as a basis, and work with it more carefully than in the previous case. We remove the surface of the bedside table, and also take out the entire partition. To avoid this, it is advisable to start working with simple, single-tier shelves. We fill the open edges with plywood, and then paint the outside of the house. It is worth noting that this type of structure can only be one-story, so it is advisable to choose a shelf with a large area and low walls to make it more convenient to place furniture and toys in it. Now we come up with the layout of the house, and with the help wooden partitions(you first need to take measurements and cut the plywood) install the walls. They can be secured with nails or with superglue. Don’t forget to create the interior of the house later - hang wallpaper, arrange furniture and accessories.

We are engaged in construction from scratch

In order to build big house for a doll, you will need male help, drawings according to which all the elements of the doll’s housing will be made, and the necessary building materials. Among the latter we will name plywood or chipboard, bolts, screws and screwdrivers, nails, thick cardboard. When designing a house on paper, do not forget that one wall or roof should recline. In the first case, you can make the structure two- or three-story, in the second there can be only one tier. When distributing rooms in such a house, do not complicate the layout. The structure can be three stories high, with a total height of one meter. Divide the first level into the kitchen and dining room. On the second most Allocate the area for the living room, and arrange an office on the smaller one. The third floor will be occupied by a bedroom and a bathroom. It is also important, when constructing such a house, to take into account the parameters of the toys that will live there. Therefore, if this is a house for a Barbie doll, then it would be appropriate to divide it into only two floors and increase the overall height slightly. Also choose the appropriate length of the bed and sofa, the width of the chairs, and so on. Smaller “babies” will be able to fit into tighter spaces.

Doll house on wheels

Any little girl will be immensely glad that it is not only divided into rooms and has furniture inside. An element such as wheels, which allow you to move this structure throughout the apartment, will be a true cause of delight. It is only important to select the appropriate parameters for these parts so that the weight of the main structure and the toys that will be in it do not deform them. If you built a house yourself from plywood, then wheels from an old crib are ideal for it (you can take it from a Soviet one, if you still have one). Wheels from office chairs, from home furniture, from small carts. Dolls and toys in the house, furniture and partitions will not cause damage to such parts, because they are designed to carry much more weight.

We construct a doll house quickly

If you know that your daughter is restless, and everything in her hands burns and breaks, you may need to do this for her. complex design No. Therefore, you can replace a three-story house made of chipboard with a cardboard home for a doll, which is quickly built, easily restored and transformed in the blink of an eye. In this project, we also cannot do without a base, and its role will be shoe boxes, equipment, or something similar. If you take a large container, then divide it into different rooms. Small boxes can be glued together, thereby forming rooms for dolls and toys to live in. Such a house can be placed on the wall by attaching boxes to it with glue.

Educational games for girls

A doll house is a toy with which a girl learns to be a keeper. hearth and home. By observing how your daughter plays with dolls, how she furnishes their rooms, and how often she cleans the house, you can adjust her future parenting plan. Perhaps the baby will have to explain how to maintain a home, what to do and what not to do. Don't forget to give her tiny accessories that can be placed in the playhouse. additional comfort. These can be toy household items, small fluorescent lamps and interior details, and even things such as combs for dolls, mirrors and personal hygiene items.

Video: Doll house made of plasterboard

Every girl’s dream is a large beautiful dollhouse, equipped with all the interior items, a very expensive pleasure.

Not everyone can buy it in a store.

However, you can make a dollhouse with your own hands, and if you involve your daughter in the process, then working together will bring pleasure to the whole family.

Housing options for dolls

In order to begin manufacturing, you must first resolve the issue of the dimensions and material of the future structure. Then draw up a house project, make drawings for sawing or cutting, think through and select finishing materials, consider options for fastening and installing the entire structure. It is important that it is stable and can withstand small “shocks”.

The size will depend on the height of the dolls that will “live” there, as well as on the capabilities of the room. After all, an apartment for half a room will take up too much space, limiting the owner.

At the same time, a very small structure will be more difficult to manufacture and finish, because working with small parts is not easy.

For ease of use, the ceiling height is set at twice the height of the doll, then it will be easy to move it around the rooms and install it inside. Higher ceilings are welcome, they will make the game even more interesting.

The depth of the rooms is determined based on the height of the dolls and the need for free space for items inside the house. On average it is 30-45 centimeters, but it can be more. The width is calculated based on the number of rooms for dolls and the volume of the room.

The shape of the house usually resembles a rectangle, elongated in height or width, it all depends on the imagination of the manufacturer. For large structures, you can use furniture wheels, which are screwed from the bottom and make it easy to move the doll housing to any place.

You can create a project on paper or using modern technologies, in a program on a computer that will itself calculate the amount of materials needed for the building.

An example of a standard doll house design:

The size largely depends on the material, since not every raw material is able to maintain its shape and withstand the load. Let's try to look at houses made of different materials.

Plywood or laminate

Plywood is very a good choice for making a dollhouse. It holds its shape well, is strong enough, and is easily fastened with glue or self-tapping screws. It is convenient to work with it using standard tools; only after completing the work it is advisable to clean it with sandpaper to make it smoother.

Plywood is easy to decorate with paper or fabric, and it is durable. Laminate has similar properties, which is also often used to create a doll’s apartment.

An example of a dollhouse diagram:

To create you will need:

  • laminate or plywood, with a thickness of at least 7 mm;
  • PVA glue, it can be replaced with carpentry glue;
  • jigsaw;
  • remnants of wallpaper that will be used to decorate walls, pieces of furniture, and for the floor you can use self-adhesive film;
  • pencil for making notes;
  • tape measure or centimeter.

The manufacturing process consists of the following stages:

  1. Cutting out the wall of a plywood structure according to the dimensions in the drawing.
  2. Selecting places where windows and doors will be located, cutting them out.
  3. Assembling the structure using wood glue or small nails.
  4. Construction of the roof, its design. The roof of the house can be covered with corrugated cardboard and painted, thus simulating tiles.
  5. Fastening the structure to the base - a piece of plywood with a little big sizes. This is necessary to give the structure greater stability and the possibility of additional decoration. For example, on a wide surface in front of the house you can organize a veranda or flower beds.
  6. Decorating the inside and outside of walls and floors. Sometimes it is more convenient to cover the internal walls before assembling the house, then the joints will not be visible, but in this case it is important not to make large overlaps, violating the proportions of the structure.
  7. Furniture arrangement.
  8. Interior decoration with small details: curtains, rugs, tablecloths, etc.

Example step-by-step construction house in the photo (instructions for dad):

Project Marking the future house Drilling Drilling Finishing with a file Putty Grinding Finished walls Painting Painted parts Marking for fasteners Assembly Assembly Finished structure Interior Balcony Room

Drywall mockups

Drywall is also a popular material because of its durability and low cost, because often after repairs it remains in the form of small pieces that have nowhere to be attached. House for Barbie – perfect option for this. However, it is more difficult to fasten, glue is not suitable here, it will be necessary to align the cut points to reduce the consumption of the product.

Self-tapping screws screwed into metal corners will be more effective. But they will need to be taken small sizes or then saw off the ends protruding from the outside.

The scheme for working with drywall is similar to that of plywood; the same tools are required for it. Therefore, you can use the diagram above.

Styrofoam

This material is also a budget material that remains after purchase. household appliances or other goods. Its only drawback is its fragility, so you should work with polystyrene foam carefully.

To work you will need:

  • polystyrene foam, preferably in large sheets;
  • toothpicks, bamboo sticks (left over from sushi sets);
  • glue gun;
  • several wooden rulers;
  • corrugated cardboard;
  • wallpaper remnants;
  • foam sponge;
  • remains of ceiling plinths;
  • accessories for creating an interior.

Let us present the manufacturing process in stages:

  1. Project development, drawing up.
  2. Cutting the foam according to the drawing, it is better to do this with a hot knife, then the foam will crumble less.
  3. Cutting out future windows and doorways.
  4. Assembly. To do this, you will need toothpicks, which you need to break in half, fasten the pieces of foam with them, apply glue between them and press them tightly.
  5. The ceiling and floor are also glued using glue gun, only to strengthen the structure they need to be strengthened. For this, bamboo sticks are used, which are glued to the foam in the form of transverse beams.
  6. An interfloor staircase is built separately; it is made of wooden rulers or the same foam, and the railings are made of toothpicks or bamboo sticks. After which the finished one is glued into the structure.
  7. Making a roof, the material for which can be foam or corrugated cardboard.
  8. Exterior finishing includes painting the entire building acrylic paint, which is convenient to apply with a foam sponge with light tangential movements. A balcony can be made outside, which is assembled in the same way as a staircase.
  9. Finishing from the inside, for which pieces of wallpaper and colored paper are used, from ceiling plinth You can cut out window sills and other interior details. Curtains, carpets, and small decorations will add coziness to the design.
  10. Furniture arrangement, check-in.

Bookshelf or rack

It is not at all necessary to purchase materials to make a home for dolls; sometimes it is enough to use interior items that are no longer in use. Yes, old bookshelf or the cabinet may well become a home for Monster High or a little princess.

In this case, the amount of work required is minimal: you only need to seal back wall house and arrange the interior contents. Details such as the roof and chimney for a structure standing against a wall can generally be drawn on or depicted with duct tape.

Old cabinet or chest of drawers

Old bedside tables, chests of drawers, and wooden cabinets gathering dust in the attic or basement can also be put to good use. They are much better suited for larger dolls and require minimal processing.

Internal shelves and drawers can be removed, thus creating large rooms. Or, conversely, add partitions between high ceilings to match the height of the dolls used. And of course, finishing that will give the product a finished look.

Cardboard

The popularity of cardboard is understandable; it is inexpensive, easy to assemble, and always available. True, this design is short-lived, since the cardboard breaks and tears. Therefore, it is better to use corrugated cardboard, which is used for packaging.

The house can be assembled quickly and easily from scrap materials:

  • corrugated cardboard itself;
  • finishing elements;
  • fabrics and other things.

Tools you will need for work:

  • drawings, parts templates;
  • knife, brushes, paints, pencils, felt-tip pens;
  • glue gun;
  • ruler and others.

Photo of the diagram: The assembly process is simple and similar to other designs, but the cardboard has some features: it bends easily, so you need to crumple it carefully. It is better to fasten with glue; the edges are not cut off, but are bent inward and act as a fastening element.

To correctly bend the cardboard at this point, you need to draw something pointed, but not cutting, for example, a pencil. A groove is formed along which the material can easily bend.

It is better to cut out details like windows using a stationery knife along the marked lines.

Boxes

Cardboard boxes are the easiest way to assemble a dollhouse for a girl. To do this, you will need to go to the back exit of the nearest store and pick up boxes that are similar in size. This will make it faster and easier to assemble the house.

Then you need to fasten them together using glue or double-sided tape. Cut out windows and create an environment. Exterior finishing can also be made from boxes, for example, a balcony or terrace.

Fabric

Fabric house – good option for a small space as it can be folded up and put away for a while. To make it you will need thick fabric with various patterns and the ability to sew.

The structure is assembled from fabric according to the diagram. Each element is sewn separately, then turned inside out and fastened together into a single house. To seal the walls, you can use cardboard or a plastic mesh, which is placed inside; they will prevent the walls from bending and will make the entire product more durable. However, a house with cardboard cannot be washed.

How to make a staircase for a house or castle?

Staircase in doll house- one of the most complex elements, a real challenge for dad. The easiest way to make it is from cardboard or foam. The first one can simply be bent into the desired position, and then reinforced with intermediate parts using the same foam.

A wooden staircase can be made from two rulers and several blocks. On the rulers, you need to make small cuts at regular intervals, into which steps from small pieces of wood are inserted at an angle of about 45 degrees, which are attached with glue to one and immediately to the second ruler. Wide rulers can serve as railings.

A foam ladder can be cut from a piece if you have a large enough block. It is placed at an angle and the steps are sawn through with a hot knife. Real craftsmen can build a staircase from wooden blocks according to special drawings.

Interior design - toy furniture and decor

Interior design is a real holiday for a girl, so it’s worth inviting her to help with interior design and furniture making. The latter can also be very diverse. The most affordable option is cardboard.

Everything that is in the house will be used for finishing:

  • wallpaper remnants;
  • pieces of fabric;
  • beads;
  • artificial flowers;
  • toothpicks;
  • cardboard boxes and so on.

Everything depends only on the imagination of the manufacturer. Beautiful curtains, bedspreads, tablecloths, even paintings for the walls can be made yourself. This will not take much time, but it will be fun and will help to attract the girl to housework and sewing.

Lighting

Making lighting in the house seems almost impossible, because connecting to the network and the presence of wires is far from safe. Especially if the home is made of wood or cardboard. In the event of a short circuit, a fire may occur.

However, there is a simple, safe solution - small LED bulbs that run on batteries. Their voltage is very low, and fastening is simple - using double-sided tape.

Creating lighting in a doll's home:

Making a dollhouse is a fascinating and long process in which not only parents, but also their children should participate. Do small parts or even a small child can hold the tools. At the same time, working together brings people together, and children will learn the acquired skills much faster and the process will be interesting.

Large house for dolls made from boxes with your own hands, step by step with photos

Most affordable way to make a dollhouse is to make it out of cardboard boxes, which can be found in every home. In addition, the house itself can later be covered with remnants of wallpaper, any other paper, painted or sheathed with fabric. Also, over time, you will have the opportunity to add new rooms and floors.

For creating cardboard house prepare:

  • large cardboard box;
  • stationery knife;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • scotch;
  • materials for decoration.

Start by cutting the box in half.
The larger the box you choose, the larger your home will be. For Barbie dolls, a box, for example from a microwave, is suitable, and for baby dolls or small toys you can use small boxes.

Cut off the flap tops of the box from each half.

From one of the cut pieces we cut out the front part of the roof. On one side of the second piece, we make a rectangular cutout with a stationery knife, which will serve as an exit to the stairs. Using tape we glue the parts together.

From the remains of the box we cut out 2 parts for the roof and the floor for the attic floor. We make exactly the same rectangular hole in the floor for the stairs. Glue the parts with tape.

Let's draw a drawing of the windows and doors on the front side of the house, and then use a utility knife to cut out all the details. From the remains of the box we cut out 2 ladders and glue them with tape.

The very principle of creating houses for paper dolls is somewhat different from creating houses from cardboard or plywood. The most advantageous material for such houses in terms of durability is cardboard. Furniture drawings are applied to it, and slots are made for doors, windows, cabinets and beds so that the dolls can rest and have a snack. The creation of each room must be approached with special attention and arrange the rooms in a logical order, so that each room has an exit to the next.

House book.

With the help of a book house, lovers of paper dolls develop not only their imagination, but also fine motor skills. The pages of such a house can be made of thick cardboard, and each of them can be pasted over office paper or wallpaper and apply drawings on them.

On each spread of the book, a room is drawn in a certain theme: kitchen, hallway, bedroom, bathroom and children's room. A child can sit his puppet characters at the table, bathe them in the bathroom, put them to bed, and brush their teeth by inserting them into the slots in the appropriate places. Such a house can be placed on a corner, or you can simply flip through it.

House in a notebook.

Houses in notebooks are also convenient for playing with paper dolls. Each spread is also designed in a specific theme. Household items are cut out of colored paper and glued to a place previously drawn for them. Each door opens, on each shelf you can put everyday items: clothes, shoes, towel, comb, toothbrush, dishes, books, toys, etc.

House 3D.

Creating 3D houses for paper dolls is very simple. A4 sheets are folded in half and drawings are drawn on each half. For example, on the lower part there is a floor and a bed, and on the upper part there is a window and a closet. Placing the sheet of paper on the table with the bottom part will create the impression of a full-fledged room. To ensure that the structure holds up better and the sheets do not wrinkle, it is recommended to glue each of them onto thick cardboard. Each of the rooms is designed so that there is a transition from it to the second or a door to the street.

DIY plywood doll house, drawing, master class

Houses made of plywood, as a rule, last much longer than those made of paper or cardboard. First you need to make a drawing of the future house. We suggest using our drawing. All sizes are indicated in centimeters.

  • plywood sheet 8 mm;
  • pen or pencil;
  • ruler;
  • jigsaw;
  • construction nails 1.2x20 mm;
  • super-strong glue “Montazh”;
  • white paint for facades;
  • paint brush;
  • sandpaper of different grain sizes;
  • drill.

First of all, we transfer our drawings to plywood and cut out each detail with a jigsaw. To quickly assemble the house in the future, we recommend signing every detail.

On those parts where you decided to place windows, we mark them.

Since the parts are in the middle of the sheet, we first drill several holes and then cut them out with a jigsaw.

We carefully sand every detail.

We assemble the house according to the drawing. First we glue the parts, and then, for greater fixation, we drive in a pair of nails at each joint.

After the house is completely assembled, we paint it in White color. You can choose any other one.

House made of paper for dolls, step by step with photos

In order for the house to hold up, and for furniture and the dolls themselves to be placed on its floors, we would recommend using cardboard as a base.

To create a house you will need:

  • cardboard;
  • stationery knife;
  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • glue Moment Crystal;
  • pieces of wallpaper or other paper for wall decoration.

First of all, you will need to draw a drawing of your future home on a piece of cardboard. We used a cardboard blank measuring 110x74 cm.

Bend 2 side walls house. To make it more convenient to bend them, before the process itself, walk the blunt end of the scissors along the future bend lines.
From a piece of cardboard, cut out 2 rectangles measuring 50x30 cm and 25x27 cm. This will be the floor between the first and second floors and the partition between the rooms on the first floor. Glue it.

We cut out another blank for the floor and for the partition on the second floor, as well as blanks for the attic. Then we cut out the windows with a utility knife and cover the house from the middle with wallpaper or paper.

We wallpaper the outside of the house. The roof can also be covered with wallpaper, or you can, for example, cut cardboard into 3x31 cm strips and glue them overlapping. Window frames are also made from cardboard or ordinary colored paper according to the measurements of the cut window.

By making your own dollhouse for your daughter, you will give her a whole play world in which she can develop her imagination.
