How to make a homemade summer faucet from an eggplant. Do-it-yourself functional washbasin in the country. How to make a frame for a washbasin yourself: step-by-step instructions and photos

You should wash your hands in any situation, because hygiene is of great importance for human health. If there is no tap, you can use a regular plastic bottle.

This design will allow you to clean yourself up anywhere – as long as there is water and bulk containers. Let's find out how to make a washbasin from plastic bottle.

Simple option

Anyone can create such a design, even if they have not previously held any tools in their hands.

  • Take big bottle several liters in volume and use a knife to remove its bottom.
  • The resulting vessel should be hung from a pole or tree. You can simply put the bottle in the string bag upside down, pushing the neck through the bottom of the mesh. We hang the string bag on a nail. But more often, the washbasin is simply tied to something with a wire so that it does not fall off - this design is quite strong and can hang for a long time.
  • Now unscrew the cap so that water flows out. You need to make holes on the side surface. This is easy to do using a long nail and a simple hammer. If the latter is not at hand, you can heat the awl and carefully make holes. Now you just need to slightly unscrew the lid so that the water flows onto your hands.
  • Another option is to drive a nail into the middle with the end sharpened at the top. If you press on it from below, water will flow onto your hands.
  • There is a simplified version of this procedure - we make through holes in the upper part of the bottle through which we pass the wire. Using the same nail or awl, we make several holes in the area of the lid. We hang the resulting structure by a wire on some branch. If everything was done correctly, then now you can turn it over without any problems, after which water will flow.

Such a device is not only easy to create, but also very simple to use. Note that the latter method has a number of disadvantages. The bottle cannot be filled entirely, otherwise some of the water will spill out of the holes. And an unattached structure is unstable - it can be overturned by the wind. At the same time, this method of making a washbasin is considered the simplest.

More complex version

If the washbasin is needed for more long term, let's try to arrange it according to plumbing rules. Take a large plastic bottle and cut a hole in its bottom. We install a squeegee there, which is easy to find in any plumbing store. Do not forget about the gaskets, which must be installed on both sides of the hole, pressing them with nuts. Now we attach the faucet to the structure, pour water and enjoy the benefits of civilization far from the water supply.

A washstand made from a plastic container is an excellent way to maintain hygiene rules in a place where there are no devices designed for this. Available materials and the simplicity of the design of such a washbasin allow anyone to make it.

It’s very convenient when you can wash it after working in the garden. dirty hands in the yard without going into the house. For these purposes, many people buy a washstand or stationary outdoor washbasin. This is cost-effective in a private home. If you have a summer house to which you come at most once a week, then it is more convenient to make a washbasin from a plastic bottle with your own hands and install it on a vertical base. The article describes in detail the manufacturing methods and various options fulfillment of plans. This is not difficult and even an inexperienced master can do it.

Simple and temporary option

Such a simple device can be installed even outdoors during a family vacation. hang this device It is possible on any tree branch away from the tent or bedding, so that flowing water does not form dirty puddles near vacationing tourists. It’s easy to make a washbasin from a plastic bottle with your own hands. You need to have a 1.5- or 2-liter container, a rope, a sharp knife and find appropriate place to accommodate.

First you need to rinse the bottle so that it is clean. Then cut off the bottom with a sharp knife. The picture shows the bottom completely cut off, but you can cut it off halfway, leaving a narrow strip. Then you can cover the hole like a lid. In this case, leaves, dirt, and insects will not fall into the container from the tree. The water will remain clean and you can use it to wash dishes from the sink.

From a plastic bottle with your own hands you need to cut two round holes at the top, not far from the cut. Pull the rope through them and tie knots on both sides. Using this thread, we hang the bottle upside down on a suitable horizontal branch. Then water is poured.

To wash your hands, you will need to slightly unscrew the cap of the bottle, but so that the water flows in a thin stream. After the hand washing process is completed, screw the lid back tightly.

Placement on the fence

You can make such a convenient washbasin from a plastic bottle with your own hands at the dacha by hanging it on screws. wooden fence. To prevent the cut edge of the bottle from being sharp, you can rub it several times on the surface of a hot iron. The sharp part will melt and will not be able to injure. Even a child can be trusted to fill the container.

To prevent the screw from rusting from constant contact with water, it must be screwed on top. The photo shows that the master used a cap from another bottle for better grip. To ensure that the container is in a vertical position and water does not pour onto the fence, you need to nail a small wooden block just below the top. You can make a soap dish from the bottom and place it next to it.

Multi-jet fixture

We bring to your attention another option for making a washbasin from a plastic bottle with your own hands. The peculiarity of this device is that water flows from it in several streams. This washbasin can be used in a summer yard shower.

To make it, you need to take a 5-liter bottle and cut out a large round hole. Through it, water will subsequently be drawn into the container. As in the previous version, holes are made on the top of the bottle, and then you need to hang it on a rope.

Several holes are drilled in the lid like a shower. The only drawback this option It is believed that water cannot be stored in such a container. It must be used immediately. When pouring water, you need to hold the lid with your hand so that the liquid does not spill from it. And hang it on a hook in the roof of the shower stall and immediately start washing.

A real washstand

The one shown below is very convenient option making a washbasin from a plastic bottle with your own hands. In the photo below you can see that this is a real washbasin, from which no water flows out at all. It can be used in the same way as the purchased version, by pressing on the stick at the bottom. Similar devices are now installed on almost all trains.

The container can be used either small or large, 6 liters. But you will still have to cut a hole in the bottom to allow air to enter the bottle. Otherwise, there will be no necessary pressure, and the water will not flow.

The only difficulty in this design of the washbasin will be preparing the lid. In the photo there is a purchased plastic pin inserted into it, intended for washstands. It's easy to find in the household goods department. The product is sold already with a lid. If you are unable to find this device, do not despair. A simple medical syringe can perform its role.

To do this, you need to cut off the part where the needle is inserted. The result is a cylinder-piston. A hole is cut in the lid into which the syringe will fit tightly. The retractable piston should hang down. When pressing on the valve, water will flow. Naturally, you need to use a rubber gasket so that the cylinder holds tightly and water does not leak out of the cracks.

DIY washbasin made from a plastic bottle

Step-by-step instructions for installing a device equipped with a tap:

1. Take a five-liter bottle and cut a small round hole for pouring water.

2. A small hole is drilled in the bottom the size of the squeegee.

3. Rubber gaskets are put on both sides of it, and with the help of nuts and washers it is firmly fixed.

4. After this, you need to install a faucet or stretch a plumbing hose to the place where it is more convenient to wash.

5. Using the handle or brackets, attach the bottle to the location: tree, fence or pole.

6. All that remains is to pour water into the container - and the washbasin is ready.

Big tank

Before you do it, you need to think about where you will place it. In addition, it is important to know the expected volume of water. If there is a need only to wash your hands, for example, after working in the garden, then you can use the bottle options presented above. Their volume is quite enough for your needs.

If there is a need for constant use of water at the dacha: washing hands, dishes, for cooking, then it would be reasonable to install a large plastic tank with a faucet in the house itself. There is no need to pour water into this container often. Plus, the tap makes it very easy to use. And there is no need to constantly run into the yard to wash some fruit or plate.

But for such a large tank, you need to hang holders on the wall that can support the weight of 25 liters of water. A sink with drainage must also be installed. cesspool or in a large bucket.

When preparatory work completed, you can mount the tap on the bottle cap. For this type of washbasin made from a plastic bottle with your own hands, instructions for installing the faucet can be found in the previous block. She is practically no different. The only additional advice: when installing the crane, add linen rope for better insulation details. Then the device will hold tightly in the container. There are special covers with ready-made taps that will save you the hassle of installation.

When choosing a location, remember that the water detergents should not leak onto the roots of plants or trees. This will ruin them. In the place where the water will flow, you can place a bucket for dirty water or dig a small hole for drainage.

Before you begin, remember that the cut bottle has sharp edges that can cause serious injury. Therefore, be careful, especially if there are little helpers nearby.

City dwellers become so accustomed to the benefits of civilization that even in their own suburban areas are trying to create comfortable conditions. An outdoor washbasin for a dacha is one of these: a minimum set of amenities on the site is simply necessary, because you have to wash your hands quite often. A beautifully decorated washbasin located near the house will undoubtedly add comfort to your stay and will complement the design of the area.

What types of washbasins are there?

There are several types of washbasins: with and without cabinets, hanging containers and designs on racks.

The most simplest model washbasin is a three to four liter container made of plastic or aluminum, with a lid and a pressure spout

The back wall of the washbasin in the picture above is equipped with special fastening, for which you can hang the container on a nail driven into a wooden vertical stand. Water is poured into the reservoir, covered with a lid and a bucket placed under it to collect used water. Water is added to it as it is used. The upper wall of the washbasin lid has a slightly concave grooved surface, thanks to which it can be used as a soap dish.

Hanging washbasins with a pressure tap equipped with a magnet that fixes it in a raised position are a more advanced version of the simplest model

Some models are equipped with a valve tap, thanks to which it is also convenient to regulate the water flow. A rectangular fifteen-liter plastic container is placed on a cabinet with a sink, under which a bucket is placed to collect water.

You can often find washbasins on the counter for sale. Portable washbasins with legs can be placed anywhere on the site

Thanks to the presence of special horns on the racks of the structure, the washbasin is firmly installed on the ground in the garden or vegetable garden, slightly deepening it.

The “Moidodyr” washbasin is convenient primarily because the sink of the design can be used as a container for washing fruits, vegetables, and dishes. Some models have hooks for towels, shelves for soap accessories and even small mirrors. Washbasins made of plastic or metal are designed for installation in open areas. Wooden washbasins equipped with a water heating system are more suitable for indoor use.

Washbasins with a cabinet are stationary structures, the main elements of which are: a filler tank, a sink and a cabinet-rack.

The simplest washbasin made from plastic bottles

You can provide yourself with a minimum set of amenities and make the simplest version of a washbasin from a plastic bottle.

It is best to use a 2-5 liter bottle as a container. Thanks to the transparency of the plastic, it is convenient to control the volume of water in the container

First thing you need to do is cut off the bottom. plastic bottle. Secure the bottle itself to a pole, grape arch or any stand using clamps or wire.

You can simply leave the bottle cap in its original form, or modernize it by making several punctures in it or adding a pressure spout made from a screw or nail

The washbasin is ready: all that remains is to fill the container, open the lid slightly and use it for its intended purpose. You can watch a video with an example of making a similar option:

Another original device:

A convenient portable washbasin with a tap can also be built from a five-liter plastic canister, barrel or can. To make a functional fixture, you will also need plumbing supplies:

  • water supply tap;
  • clamp nuts;
  • drive;
  • two gaskets.

In the selected container you need to drill or cut a hole of the required diameter.

The squeegee is installed in the hole of the container, gaskets are put on it on both sides and clamped with nuts. All that remains is to attach the faucet to the faucet and pour water into the container

When installing a washbasin, it is advisable to provide a drainage system that carries waste water into the cesspool. In the absence of the opportunity to equip a drainage system, you can simply use a container to collect dirty water.

It is possible to place the washbasin above the ground, covered with a layer of gravel, which will act as drainage and prevent dirt from forming near the washbasin.

Do-it-yourself wooden “moidodyr”

For making more complex stationary structure, which will not only be functional, but also decorative element plot, you will need 25x150 mm boards. The dimensions of the structure depend on the dimensions of the water container and the preferences of the owners.

Eyelets are made in vertical blanks for arranging tenons. To do this, grooves 20 mm deep and 8 mm wide are cut using a milling cutter. At the ends of the horizontal blanks, spikes are cut out using a circular saw.

All washbasin blanks are assembled into a single structure and connected using self-tapping screws.

On the inner sides of the lower part of the structure, a base is prepared where sheets of plywood will be installed. The sheets can be placed on glue or secured with small nails

A tank is placed between the side walls of the upper part of the structure. The floor of the washbasin is laid out from 20x45 mm slats. The walls of the upper part are secured with self-tapping screws, so that if the tank leaks, it can always be removed. The principle of manufacturing a door design is quite simple: to a frame, the slats of which are connected to each other using a tongue and groove, with inside a sheet of plywood is glued. A lock with a handle is installed on the door frame.

The washbasin is ready. All that remains is to carefully sand the product, paint it, and then install the sink

At the dacha or in the garden, you often have to do work that can leave dirt on your hands. Now on almost every suburban area there is a washbasin on the wall of a house or barn. The most common form of this product is a small container with a pressure spout, which is hung on the wall.

These washbasins are quite easy to use and cost little. Some craftsmen themselves make a similar galvanized washbasin for their dacha; its service life is much longer. Making a washbasin for your dacha with your own hands is quite simple, you just need to know the technology.

Types of structures

Few people know that this type of personal hygiene products can be made not only a practical thing, but also part of the exterior of the entire garden. With my own hands You can assemble several types of washbasins for your dacha:

  1. From plastic bottles.

This design is simple in its implementation, and in terms of cost, no one, even the cheapest “device” from the store, can compare with it.

  1. "Moidodyr".

This washbasin is a full-fledged workplace. Here you can wash dishes and vegetables.

  1. Portable, on stands.

A portable washbasin can be placed in any convenient location, for example, near a table or barbecue, and after use, transfer it again to a storage location.

  1. Mounted from a canister.

A wall-mounted washbasin, assembled using canisters, is very convenient due to its volume. There is no need to pour water into it every time you need to wash something.

Each of these types has special design, and any amateur summer resident who has a pair of necessary tools. After all, each of the gardeners sooner or later thought about how to make a washbasin in the country with their own hands.

Washbasin made of plastic

Everyone at their dacha has several empty and unnecessary plastic bottles; they can be used to make plastic washbasin for the dacha. They remain from drinks that are brought with them and drunk after work or during rest. You can easily and quickly build an outdoor wall-mounted washbasin from them.

The simplest washbasin

There are many ways in which plastic container Can be easily converted into a personal hygiene device.

But they all boil down to simple steps:

  1. Rinse the container to remove any remaining unfinished liquid.
  2. Next, you need to cut off the bottom of the bottle.
  3. The resulting tank must be fixed on a vertical surface so that the neck faces down.
  4. The cut off bottom can be left and used later as a cover for the washbasin.

The design is almost ready, then those who don’t want to bother too much can leave everything as is and pour water through the top. To open such a tap, just turn the lid until water flows from the tank in a thin stream. But this design is not perfect, since if you open the cap too much, you can accidentally open the bottle completely and all the contents will spill out.

Therefore, many craftsmen are trying to come up with interesting variations of various mechanisms for supplying water, allowing them to wash their hands without the risk of being doused with water. Here are a few options that are most often found in such designs:

  1. A nail is taken large diameter and becomes dull. Next, you need to remove the lid of the wash bottle and make a hole in it into which the nail should fit freely, but it should be smaller than the head. Next, the structure is assembled in such a way that when the lid is screwed on, the cap is inside the structure. Now, if the container is filled with water, it will hold it, but if you lift the nail, water will flow out of the opened hole.

This scheme has several disadvantages: firstly, the nail will rust over time, polluting the water, and secondly, such an outdoor sink for a summer house will constantly leak, since the head of the nail is uneven.

  1. It's even easier to make a hole in the top of the lid. Then you don’t have to turn and open it completely, just turn the cap on the bottle a little and water will flow out of the hole.

There is only one downside to this design. It is quite difficult to adjust the required width of the water jet.

  1. A simpler, but more expensive, scheme may be with a simple water tap instead of a lid. It can be purchased separately. Or remove it from old technology. The main thing is to choose correct diameter, matching the width of the neck.

Also, syringes, taps from boxed wine and other improvised means are used as taps and “spouts”, here, as they say, whoever is good at what. Do-it-yourself washbasin for a summer house, photos and videos:

Washbasin made from a plastic bottle

This type of washbasin is quite simple both to manufacture and to use, but from a practical and aesthetic point of view they are clearly inferior to their competitors. You can hang the washbasin on a tree branch using a rope.

Mounted from a canister

Models made from canisters are a more advanced version of washbasins made from plastic bottles. They can be made from any large container, from a plastic canister to an old saucepan.

Regular canister

Making such a model is quite simple. For production you will need any empty container made of plastic or metal with an opening top and water tap. Next you should do the following:

  1. In the lower part of the container, 1 - 2 cm from the bottom, it is necessary to make a hole, the diameter of which should be equal to the diameter of the tap inlet.
  2. Next, you need to fix the tap in this hole. You can do this in three ways:
  • If the tap is metal, then it can be fixed using two washers, two rubber gaskets and a nut. The washers and gaskets are arranged so that one piece is placed on each side of the hole on the faucet. The nut is screwed on from the inside.
  • If the crane and container are made of metal, then the crane can be welded to the container, then the structure will not be collapsible, as in the previous version, but at the same time, it can last much longer.
  • The last method is best used when working with plastic. If both components are made of plastic, then hot melt adhesive can be used to connect them.

Type of design

Such washbasins for the garden and cottage can be hung on the wall, or you can build a small structure that will hold it at a height of 10-15 cm, then it can be placed on the table. Often, under this type of washbasin, a sink with drainage system, which directs dirty water into the drain.

Portable washbasins on racks

This outdoor washbasin for a summer residence does not have such a wide selection of design variations as the previous one, however, it is much more practical for a number of reasons.

The main advantage can be understood based on the name of this design, since, unlike most types of washbasins, they can be transported and used outdoors in the country house. It is due to mobility that craftsmen from gardens and dachas take on their production.

Washbasin on racks

To make such a washbasin, you need to make a container. This can be done according to the description presented a little higher, in the section “Attached from a canister”. In addition to the tank, you will need a base on which it will hang. To make it you can use wooden beams, but better - a metal rod with a cross-section of 5-7 mm. The fact is that structures made from the latest version of materials are smaller in size, but lighter and more durable. Do-it-yourself washbasin for a summer house, photo:

In order to connect the rods, welding will be required. The lower platform should be wide to give the structure stability. There are 2 popular variations of support elements:

  1. In this case, the washbasin has 2 legs, which are located on two parallel rods. Due to the two legs, it is difficult to tip the structure on its side, and supporting parallel rods prevent it from falling backward or forward.
  2. "H"-shaped. This scheme is similar in appearance and properties to the previous one. The only difference is an additional rod; it must be welded perpendicular to the leg supports, so that the letter “H” is formed. This additional element will protect the structure from moving legs.

The legs, like the support, are made of rods; their length can be different, but not more than one and a half meters, otherwise the structure may bend over time under the weight of the water in the container. To keep the tank on its “legs”, you can weld two hooks. In addition, it can be hung, or a small “basket” can be welded into which the container will need to be inserted.

Appearance

This design It is quite simple to construct and does not take up much space; it can be carried and installed in places where it is necessary to wash your hands. This unheated garden washbasin is very convenient to use.

Washbasins made of wood are less mobile due to their weight. Because portable structures It is quite difficult to find one made from this material.

"Moidodyr" with a bedside table

The most solid version of a washbasin that you can build with your own hands is garden plot, is considered “moidodyr”. This design can replace a small outdoor kitchen in its functionality. It can be installed on the veranda, inside the house or outside. The product is a full-fledged washbasin with a cabinet and a sink. The cabinet is extended, resulting in a table that is convenient to use for cutting food. The washbasin itself hangs on the wall, which is securely attached to the cabinet.

The simplest scheme

To make it you will need a lot of materials, however, you don’t have to run to get them hardware store. To assemble such a structure, what is left in the barn after building the house may be suitable:

  • old boards and beams - for the frame (you can use metal corners);
  • lining, plywood, plastic are perfect for cladding;
  • Thick plywood, starting from 7 mm, can be used as a tabletop.

The most important attributes of this design are the sink and the water tank, which is installed above it. You will most likely have to buy a tank, but you can make it as described above from any convenient container. But you can take the old sink, left after old kitchen.

A hose is connected to it, the free end of which must be lowered into the drain to drain dirty water. At the same time, it is necessary to install a siphon in the structure, just like in an apartment, so that bad smell and bacteria from the table did not spread around the washbasin. Especially if he is at home.

Option 1

Wooden beams are used as a frame, which are covered with cladding on top. “Moidodyr” consists of a cabinet in which the sink is installed and walls on which the washbasin is hung. Therefore, the design is assembled based on the dimensions of the tank and sink. A pipe with a siphon leading to drain hole, for the removal of waste and dirty water.

So, the cabinet should be slightly smaller than the sink (if it is counter-mounted), or larger than it by at least 2 cm (when installing a mortise version). The height of the cabinet can be different, the main thing is that the person does not hunch over when washing dishes/hands. The front part of the cabinet is hung on hinges, which creates a door. In addition to the sink, the cabinet may also have a countertop.

Option 2

The wall is made simpler; it rests on the 2 outer beams of the back of the cabinet, which must be extended by at least one meter. If the structure exceeds a meter/one and a half in length, then there should be three support beams. The trim is made from the same material as the doors, and side walls cabinets. The tank is attached to the wall using hooks or a welded structure. Free space, if available, can be used to build shelves or hooks for towels, knives and other kitchen utensils.

Sometimes Moidodyr is equipped with a heating element. It is necessary if the washbasin is used in the cold season. Installing a water boiler on a washbasin will allow you to wash dishes in the garden or at the dacha in warm water even in the cold season.

Bottom line

Making washbasins for your garden and dacha with your own hands is quite simple. At the same time, if you don’t have experience or time, you can start with a simple design, mounted from a canister, and gradually build it up to a large “Moidodyr”.

Video

Unfortunately, not all summer residents can boast of having running water on their property, but there is no way to do without water - there is always a need to wash your hands after horticultural work, rinsing fruits and vegetables before eating and washing dishes after eating. This can be done only through the washbasin. It is useful not only inside country house, but also on the street, next to the gazebo or in the garden. The main advantage of such a device is its mobility; you can independently carry it from place to place. Today we will tell you how to build such a washbasin with your own hands, because things made with your own hands are not only unique, but also have many functions and useful elements.

What type of washbasin is better to choose?

If you intend to make a washbasin for your dacha with your own hands, then, in principle, you can give preference to any type. It can be with a mirror, an additional cabinet for various small items, and hooks for towels. But still, we advise you to approach the choice of plumbing fixtures responsibly, because they are installed for more than one year.

There are such types of washbasins:

  • Liquid. These are simple designs that can be purchased at any plumbing store. On top they have a tank into which water is poured manually. When you turn the tap, water begins to flow.

Important! The main advantage of this system is ease of installation and low cost. But, of course, you will have to constantly carry and fill the tank with water. You can install such a device on a wall or on the street.

  • Garden with a cabinet. They cost more than filling devices because they are additionally equipped with a cabinet for storing household or hygiene supplies. They work on the same principle as we discussed earlier. That is, it is necessary to constantly pour fresh water into the container. The washbasin can be equipped with shelves or a mirror to increase the ease of use. The cabinets themselves are made of chipboard, plastic or of stainless steel, the main thing is that the material does not deteriorate due to constant contact with moisture.

Important! It is better to install them under a canopy so that the furniture does not deteriorate in the rain.

  • Devices for a summer house or garden with the possibility of heating. This is the most convenient and expensive option. That is, you can heat the water in the tank during the cold season. Such garden systems can be heated in different ways - work like a boiler when connected to the mains or automatically.

We make a washbasin for a country house with our own hands

Making a washbasin in a private home is no more difficult than making a device for outdoor use. Yes, such designs are more intricate, but they have more advantages. In this case, it is necessary to take care of both functionality and appearance washbasin. It is important that it fits well overall design simple country life.

Important! Such devices are often made of wood.

You will need the following tools and materials for work:

  • Boards measuring 25 by 150 mm.
  • Manual frezer.
  • Wood saw.
  • Water container (galvanized 20-liter tank).
  • Self-tapping screws for wood.
  • Plywood.
  • PVA glue.
  • Dye.
  • Lock.
  • Sink.

It is necessary to perform the following actions without disturbing their sequence:

  1. Pre-cut recesses 8 mm wide and 20 mm deep in vertical blanks using a hand router.
  2. Use a hacksaw to cut tenons in the horizontal pieces. A water container will help you determine the size of the future structure. Consider the size of the sink that will be attached to the cabinet.
