Pallet preparation

The diameter of the holes should be approximately 2 mm smaller than the diameter of the screws;
4. Such furniture made from pallets does not need legs, since the base consists of two layers of pallets fastened with self-tapping screws. But if you want to make legs, they can easily be made from thick bars;

Important! If the sofa will be placed outdoors, then the pillows and mattress for it should be light enough so that during rain they can be brought into the house without any problems.

Pallet bed

A pallet bed has a simple design and is quite easy to make. To do this you will need 4 euro pallets + 2 pallets for the headboard (if present), a screwdriver, wood primer, varnish or paint, metal plates or corners.

To make a bed, do the following:

1. Coat the pallets with a wood primer, which will help the paintwork go on smoother. After the primer has dried, coat the surface with varnish or paint of the desired shade;
2. When the paint has dried, the pallets will need to be connected to each other, first making holes with a drill and then screwing in self-tapping screws. To prevent the structure from becoming loose, additional boards can be placed underneath;
3. To make a headboard, install two pallets at the base of the bed and attach them to the main structure and additionally secure them with metal plates;
4. If you want the bed to have legs, they can be made from four thick bars, which are attached in the same way as the headboard (screws plus a metal corner or plates).

Pallet hanger
