How to arrange a washbasin for bees. Washbasins for summer cottages: types and step-by-step manufacturing instructions. Mounted models from canisters

Country washstand made of plastic bottles

A necessary thing in the country is a washstand or washbasin that can be hung on the site. This practical device will allow you to rinse your hands after garden work, wash tools, rinse vegetables or fruits without entering the house. Such a country washstand can be made easily from plastic bottles, and there can be many ways, we will consider only a few of them.

The most elementary country washstand made of plastic bottles is done as follows:

A large plastic bottle with a lid is taken, then the bottom is cut off with a knife or scissors. The bottom can be cut off not completely and bent (this will be a place for soap). After that, we pierce holes on the sides with an awl, through which we thread a cord or wire, and hang the resulting washstand.

Alternatively, you can nail the washstand to the holder. Or, if you have holders, attach the washstand to them, as shown in the photo.

Pour water into the wash basin. When you need to wash your hands, just unscrew the lid a little.

Inverted plastic bottle option:

You can also adapt the washstand like this:

we take a plastic bottle, make holes in the lid with an awl heated over a candle or stove (there should be a lot of them), we also make holes for the lace in the middle of the bottle so that it turns over easily, and hang it so that it is lid up.

When washing hands, simply turn the bottle over.

Our country washstand from plastic bottle ready! To make it, as you can see, is very simple.

The option is more complex and functional:

We take two plastic bottles of the same size. First, we deal with one bottle, which will be the washbasin itself. We cut off the part with the bottom, but not evenly, but leaving a small eye on the remaining part (this will be the mount for our country washstand).

At the second bottle, we cut out the widest part (closer to the base), then finish it as in the figure. We need to make (closer to the top) several pairs of horizontal cuts, 2-3 cm long (we will insert toothbrushes here). We cut a rectangular window below (we cut it from 3 sides and turn it to the side so that a tube of toothpaste can fit in this tube). We fix the folded rectangle around the edges with a stapler.

We put the second blank on the first and get a washstand with additional features. On top we put an inverted bottom (for soap).

Each owner suburban area trying to create comfortable conditions on his estate. This is especially true for residents of large cities, who are accustomed to the benefits of civilization at hand. In addition, in the country you need not only to relax, but also to work, and if you do not have running water, then you will encounter certain difficulties. We will tell you how to make a washbasin in the country with your own hands.

Choosing the right place for the sink

If you intend not only to come to the dacha in the evenings, but also to live on it for several days in a row, then you need the constant availability of water. Waking up in the morning, it's so nice to wash cold water, drive away sleep and cheer up to get to work with renewed vigor.

Most often, we are faced with the lack of running water and sewerage in summer cottages. Of course, you can drill a well on your own and provide the estate with an almost full-fledged water supply, but this is a laborious and expensive task, and besides, it is far from paying off, especially against the background of the fact that you will use it only in the warm season. In winter, without control, pipes can freeze, burst, or even simply disperse into the hands of unreliable social elements.

Therefore, we will opt for a simple, light and familiar design of the washbasin - the washbasin. The first thing to decide is: where will this washbasin be installed - in the yard or inside the house?

Find comfortable spot in the yard for the washbasin

It would be best to make or purchase such a structure that in the summer, in hot weather, you can leave in the yard or in the garden, and with the onset of cold weather - bring it into the room. So you do not have to adjust the sewerage and water supply. The only thing left for you to decide is exactly where to put the moidodyr.

The washbasin should be in an accessible place so that you can use it at any time. if you love warm water, install the structure on the sunny side so that the water container warms up well. However, many people think that it is better to place the washbasin in the shade, especially if the container is made of plastic.

Well, one more important question, which washbasin to choose? It all depends on your personal preferences and capabilities. Washbasins are:

  • bulk;
  • suspended;
  • washbasins-racks with cabinet;
  • heated wash basins.

Each of these washbasins can be used as a portable, or can be firmly fixed in a certain place. If you do not want to bother, then any kind can be purchased at the store. But to make it yourself, especially from improvised means, is not only much cheaper, but also more exciting.

We use improvised means

Even if you still only have plans to create a moidodyr in the country, you still have to wash your hands and wash your face. In this case, the simplest will come to our aid, hiking option- a plastic bottle with a volume of 1.5 liters. Cut off the bottom, turn it over and fasten it on a wire to a tree branch, a fence, etc. Water is poured from above and warms up quite well. You can make a full-fledged washbasin by attaching holders for soap, toothpaste and brushes.

Scheme of a washbasin from a plastic bottle

So that the water from such a bottle does not flow constantly, but when necessary, several devices can be used.

  1. The easiest way is a nail in a cork. Make a hole in the center of the bottle cap and insert a nail into it so that the cap remains inside. Screw the plug tightly. The disadvantages are that water leaks, and this causes the nail to rust, and besides, it is not very convenient to wash your hands with such an inconsistent water supply.
  2. The second way is easier to use. A hole is made on the side of the lid. When the lid is unscrewed, the water starts to flow as much as you need. Screw on the lid and the water will stop. The downside of this method is that it is not very easy to control a sufficient level of unscrewing so that the lid does not tear off thoroughly.
  3. The third way is also simple: you can attach a faucet, for example, from washing machine, to the neck of the bottle with electrical tape. The water will flow the way you want it to, and you can be sure that the faucet won't fall off if you fix it well.
  4. The same faucet (or purchased from a hardware store) can be attached to a plastic container with a volume of 5 liters or more. To do this, just drill a hole of the desired diameter and fix the faucet in it. A tin or enameled bucket as a container is also perfect.

Such home-made washstands from improvised means can be decorated with various patterns. Children will be very happy to have the opportunity to apply their imagination and efforts for a common cause.

What can you make a washbasin in the country?

More complex washbasin design

Such a washbasin will be heavier, which means that it must be installed in a permanent place. This also implies a place for draining, which, however, can be replaced with a bucket or basin. The accumulated used water can be adapted for watering small flower beds or beds.

So, you will need:

  • large capacity (bucket, canister, can with a volume of 10 liters or more);
  • drive;
  • faucet gaskets;
  • clamp nuts;
  • faucet for water supply.

Mark a hole on the container. It should not exceed the diameter of the run. Depending on the material of the container, knock out, drill or cut a hole, and place the squeegee in it.

Put on rubber gaskets on both sides of the squeegee and fix with nuts on both sides. Now install the faucet and your garden washbasin is complete. When placing it on the site, pay attention to the soil at the installation site. If you do not plan to drain to a cesspool or garden, then be sure to pour a few buckets of gravel under the sink. This will save you from dirty puddles.

Use a large plastic barrel for the washbasin

If you are not constrained in time and money, then you can make a more practical and solid country washbasin according to the same scheme. For it you will need:

  • tank and sanitary fittings;
  • sink right size from a suitable material;
  • materials for the frame or connection of the tank with the sink in one design;
  • materials for supply and drainage of water.

Build a frame from metal and wood, taking into account the dimensions of the tank, sink and hoses. Install all the elements in the finished frame, connect them to the water supply and sanitation system. If you planned a self-leveling washbasin, then a connection to the water supply may not be required.

Choosing a reliable water tank

If your plans include the manufacture of a washbasin with a pedestal, then you should not make a water tank yourself from improvised means - you will only waste time, and such a design will look unaesthetic. A ready-made tank with a built-in faucet is inexpensive, but it looks much more beautiful.

The optimal capacity for a washbasin is 10-20 liters. A smaller one does not make sense, but a larger one is suitable for country shower. As a tank for a moidodyr, it will be too bulky, and the water in it may stagnate.

Pay attention to the material from which the container is made. Choose a stainless steel washbasin, it is durable and resistant to damage. Plastic is lighter and cheaper, but it can crack on impact, especially if filled.

The shape of the sink is also very important. The pressure of water pouring out of the faucet directly depends on it. If the container is low and is in a horizontal position, then the water will flow out in a thin stream. As we remember from the school physics course, the greater the pressure, the higher the column of capacity. Therefore, it is better to choose a tank with an elongated shape. The best option is a washbasin with a non-flat bottom, leaning towards the faucet.

Choose tank containers carefully

Needless to say, the faucet should be located as close to the bottom of the tank as possible. Now more and more popular are washbasins in which the valve tap is located on the front wall. The pressure from it will be lower than from a washbasin up to 5 liters with a pressure tap. In such a tank, water pressure is lost due to the location of the tap. Due to the loss of pressure, the water in the tank will often have to be topped up. Therefore, choose a model with the lowest possible location of the crane.

We make a curbstone for moydodyr on our own

Perhaps you have a Soviet-style sink from the old days. It fits perfectly under a standard tank and sink. In this case, you only need to clean it up, paint it, and maybe add a couple more elements to the structure. Well, if there is no such sink, then you can easily make the frame yourself. For it you will need wooden blocks with a section of 50X50 - 80X80 mm or steel corners 25X25-40X40 mm.

The optimal height of the cabinet on which the sink is located is no more than 1 m. Take a corner or a bar and cut 4 sections of 85 cm each. The size of the frame of the vanity should be such that the sink fits easily on its edges, so carefully measure the structural elements.

Modern models of moidodyr

Cut 8 pieces of timber (corner) to the size of the sink. As a rule, it is 50 cm. Assemble the frame and fix it: knock it down if you used a beam, and weld it if you have a metal corner.

Please note: refer to inner edges frame, since the sink will be laid on them. The steel frame after manufacturing must be primed and painted to avoid rust.

The frame of the cabinet can be sheathed with such materials:

  • plywood shield;
  • wooden plank;
  • polycarbonate;
  • steel sheets;
  • plastic panels.

To prevent plywood and wood from becoming unusable, getting wet on the street, varnish the structure. back wall and completely sheathe the sides of the cabinet, firmly fixing the material on the frame. From the front, hang a door made of the same material as the frame on the hinges.

Make the floor in the cabinet from boards, leaving gaps of about 1 cm between them, so that spilled water goes into the ground and air circulation is provided.

Additional elements of the washbasin

You can not be limited to the frame of the cabinet for the sink. To make it convenient to use the washbasin, attach a countertop to it, which can serve as a dish dryer.

  1. The dryer can be attached on one or both sides. To do this, take wooden planks with a section of 25 X 15 mm and knock them down so that you get a dryer in the form of a lattice. The distance between the boards should be 1.5-2 cm.
  2. You can make a two-level dryer. To do this, at a height of 35 cm above the ground, make another frame and stuff boards on it.
  3. Be sure to cover the dryer with varnish so that it does not exfoliate over time and does not deteriorate from moisture.
  4. For a countertop, take a plastic or wood board and place it on a frame made to fit the board.

The frame for the washbasin can be made independently

We talked about how to organize the draining of water from the sink, above. You can use a regular bucket for this. This is especially good if you wash not only your hands, but also vegetables and fruits, as well as dishes with leftover food. Thus, there will be organic food residues in the water, and such slops can be sent to compost heap for humus.

If cleaning products and food residues will not be discharged into the sink, then you can connect to the drain hole corrugated pipe and take her to the sewer.

Video about installing a washbasin in a summer cottage

Now your garden plot equipped with comfortable and functional washbasin. We hope that our tips will help you do it quickly and easily. Tell us about your experience in the manufacture of country washbasins. Warm summer and easy work!

They almost cannot afford to install a properly functioning water canal. And water is very necessary in the suburban area. Is the need to wash the products or you need to wash dirty hands.

Fortunately, for these purposes, people have come up with a washbasin that every summer resident can make or install.

It can be installed both outdoors and at home. There are several types of washbasins, which have various designs and functions. Today, on the market, you can buy a washbasin for no more price than doing it yourself.

But a do-it-yourself one will not only be beautiful and well-made, but you can also implement many necessary functions.

Simple hanging washbasin.

This washbasin is the simplest, which consists of a container, and is filled with water, and a container for draining is placed at the bottom of it. It is easy to carry and install anywhere you want.

Depending on the installation location of the washbasin, the water is drained different ways. If installed in the garden, then the water is drained into the garden, or into the pit, and if inside the house, then it is poured into special containers, usually this is an ordinary bucket.

So that the water in the garden does not collect under the washbasin, crushed stone is poured under it. Wall-hung washbasins have gained immense popularity due to their low cost and ease of use.

There are also large-capacity washbasins for pouring water. They have a large number of advantages: you need to add water less often, the volume of the tank lasts for a long time, it has a tap valve. They are made from plastic and stainless steel.

Wash basins mounted on a counter

This option is very often used, since almost all novice gardeners made this design on their site, this is a washbasin on a counter.
Barbecue and barbecues in assortment and to order, forged.

The water tank is mounted on a stand, and this washbasin can be installed in any corner of the suburban area.

This design can be made with your own hands and it will not take much time and material. Only pipes, a welding machine and a grinder for cutting metal are needed.

Measure first desired lengths pipes and cut them off. The end of the posts are cut at an angle so that they can be easily driven into the ground. A mount for a water tank is welded on the top of the rack.

Washbasin with cabinet type "moydodyr".

Such a washbasin consists of a bedside table, a sink and a washbasin installed on it. This design can also be placed at home as well as in the garden.

Under the nightstand is a container for drain or other household appliances. The presence of a sink allows you to wash vegetables and dishes, as they can be placed on the sink.

In addition, a mirror, towel holders and other stands for various things can be attached to the top of the washbasin.

How to make a washbasin yourself?

Washbasins for suburban areas do not cost any huge money. The price depends on the design and type of washbasin, as well as on its function. In addition, anyone can make a washbasin.

Washbasin selection

When choosing, pay attention to the shape and size of the water tank. From these criteria begins the selection of a washbasin.

And it is also very important where you want to operate it, at home or on the site. The shapes of the containers play very important role, the pressure of flowing water from the tap will depend on their shape.

And you also need to consider how and where the faucet or washbasin valve is located. This will depend on the amount of water.

Washbasin cabinet frame

If you want to make a cabinet and a washbasin with your own hands, then you need to take into account some points. For example, will you need a place under the sink for household utensils, the size of the washbasin, the presence of hooks and a mirror.

85 cm to 1 m most comfortable height the location of the sink, then these values are taken from the height and proportions of the family members who will use the washbasin.

The frame is welded from metal corners or a profile, which are marked according to the size of the washbasin. You can also make a frame from boards or bars, but nothing resists the strength of the metal.

Also, if the washbasin is to be installed at home, you can attach a countertop to it, on which you can cut food and cook.

Photo of washbasins for giving

A convenient and functional outdoor washstand for giving is an indispensable attribute of a comfortable stay in the countryside. If necessary, it is quite possible to make high-quality
country washbasin at low cost and with their own hands, but most consumers prefer to use ready-made purchased models.

Street washstand for giving: the main types of purchased models

A garden washbasin or a country sink should combine ease of use and affordable cost. When choosing a purchased model you need to pay attention to the following parameters:

  • the street model should harmoniously fit into the overall decor and the whole concept of the summer cottage;
  • for frequent outdoor use, it is best to choose a wall-hung washbasin with a large water tank;
  • for rare, periodic use, it is advisable to give preference to small washbasins, which will prevent stagnant water.

An outdoor washbasin can be portable or portable and stationary. Such a device is usually located in working area personal plot and can be represented not only by a primitive hanging tank, but also by a device with an increased level of comfort:

  • washbasin without cabinet or, the so-called, bulk street washstand. This is the most simple design, represented by a capacity of three to five liters. Water is poured into the tank from above. The tank closes the lid, and at the bottom there is a tap or a special outlet float is installed. For drainage, a bucket or a drainage layer on the ground is used. The best option is a durable plastic model. Most modern look is plastic hanging tank with sometimes covers and pressure magnetic release;
  • feature plastic model on the counter is the possibility of fixing on a metal rack. You can firmly install such a device on the ground by pressing your foot on the lower crossbar. Some models are characterized by the presence of such additional element, as a sink with the release of water directly to the ground with an equipped drainage layer represented by fine gravel or gravel. The device can be installed between beds or flower beds, as well as anywhere in the garden.

Washbasin from a 5-liter bottle

This option is based on a 5-liter bottle, as well as wire, an awl and candles, perfect for hygiene procedures in field conditions:

  • light a candle and heat the awl;
  • make about ten holes in the lid, distributing them as evenly as possible;
  • make a pair of parallel holes in the middle of the container with an awl and thread the wire;
  • pour water to the middle and tighten the lid;
  • turn the bottle over and hang it on a driven nail or branch.

The disadvantage of this design is the risk of capsizing during strong gusts of wind, as well as the possibility of filling with water only up to half.

Wooden washbasin Moidodyr

"Moydodyry" belong to the category of serious structures, and can be represented by different modifications. Such stationary device is quite difficult to move, so it must be installed on a pre-prepared and carefully selected, permanent place.

For self-manufacturing you need to use a cabinet, a sink and a tank with a tap for water. Wooden "Moydodyr" can have different dimensions. The dimensions of a square pedestal are 50x50 cm. The rectangular design is made with dimensions of 45x50 cm. The sides, back and door are made of moisture-resistant plywood.

You can make a design from boards 2.5x15 cm. In vertical blanks, you need to make eyes for arranging spikes. They are performed using a milling cutter, cutting grooves 2.0 cm deep and 8.0 cm wide. On the end parts of horizontal blanks using circular saw spikes are set up. The parts are assembled into a single structure, and securely fixed with galvanized self-tapping screws. Sheet plywood can be glued or fixed with small carnations.

A water tank is installed between the side walls in the upper part. The floor should be made of slats measuring 2.0x4.5 cm. On final stage a door with a handle is fixed, which will simplify the operation of Moidodyr. It is recommended to carefully sand the finished structure, paint, and then install the sink. If necessary, instead of moisture-resistant plywood, PVC panels are used in such a design, thanks to which the outdoor washbasin can become not only a necessary plumbing fixture, but also a real decor element for a backyard or garden area.

Washbasin with heated water (video)

Canister outdoor washbasin

To make such a functional plumbing fixture, in addition to the container, you will need to prepare:
  • tap for water supply;
  • nuts for clamping;
  • drive;
  • a couple of rubber pads.

In the purchased plastic container, you need to drill or cut a hole. The squeegee is installed in a drilled hole in the container. Then, on both sides, gaskets are put on the drive and clamped with nuts. At the final stage, a tap is attached, after which the tank is filled with water.

When arranging such a washbasin, it is required to provide a high-quality drainage, which will translate wastewater V cesspool. If it is not possible to equip a drainage system, then you can use a bucket to collect the used water, or place the washbasin above the ground, covered with a layer of gravel, which in this case acts as a drainage and prevents the formation of puddles around the washbasin.

Heated washbasin: features of installation and connection to the mains

Work on personal plot is not always produced in the warm season, so the use cold water can create significant discomfort. In this case the best option will be the use of an outdoor washbasin equipped with reliable heating. There are several different modifications that differ not only appearance, but also design features:

  • mounted models are a rectangular tank equipped with a crane and are mounted on walls or any type of reliable support. A special heating element is built into the tank. As a rule, such a plumbing fixture is installed under a canopy, and has an anti-corrosion coating. However, outdoor installation requires very strict adherence to all safety measures prescribed in the attached instructions;
  • mounted plumbing fixtures with anti-corrosion supports are more advanced models and can be installed outdoors, and the availability of high-quality reliable metal frame allows you to give the entire structure an additional level of strength and stability;
  • The most complete set of a country outdoor washbasin equipped with water heating is a model consisting of a metal, plastic or wooden cabinet, complemented by a sink made of steel or polymers and a tank for water heating. A voluminous cabinet most often has a collapsible structure. Such a device may well be connected to the sewerage system.

Complete set with heating elements is typical not only for complex plumbing fixtures, but also enough simple devices without pedestal. With the help of one such built-in element with a power of 1.25 kW, 15-17 liters of water are heated in half an hour to a temperature of 75-80 ° C.

Appliances fitted with a heating system must be connected to a conventional electrical outlet. Electricity consumption depends on the power of the heating elements installed in the water heater. Usually, small heating elements are mounted at the bottom of the bulk tank. Modern plumbing fixtures are equipped with thermostats, with the help of which the necessary temperature regime water within 30-70°C. Some models are equipped with a very convenient automatic shutdown mode.

When installing such an outdoor washbasin, it is very important to remember that the main requirement for operation is installation under a roof or a special canopy that will protect the device from precipitation. It is strictly forbidden to use the so-called "temporary huts" for connection.

Quality country rest directly depends on the availability of basic plumbing fixtures, the category of which includes outdoor washbasins. At right choice such a device and its competent installation can make living as comfortable and convenient as possible.

As they say, if the little things determine the consciousness of everyday life, then the washstand determines ... I don’t know what. But it definitely makes life easier with him. I don’t have a stationary washstand on the site, and the builders took theirs. So somehow I got ready and went shopping in search of. I didn’t like everything I saw on sale, so this article appeared here.

Method number 1: a nail in a cork

The simplest and most obvious, of course. We make a hole in the center of the cap from a plastic bottle, insert the nail with the cap inside, screw the cap.

Problems: water leaks, the nail rusts. And besides, there is a common problem for all washstands with a stem: while you press from below, water flows, but your hands are busy and you can’t wash them, and when you let go, your hands are free and you can wash, but the water doesn’t flow anymore :).

Method number 2: a hole in the cork

Making it in a bottle cap triangular cutout on the side. Then, by turning the lid, the water will flow out, by turning it back, the faucet closes. Original and simple.

Problems? Read a funny story from one forum:

“I built a washstand from a 5-liter bottle according to the described recipe: you turn the lid slightly - a thin stream flows. The unit hung at the corner of the gazebo, dug a shallow hole at the bottom and poured a bucket and a half of PGS into it. Everything worked perfectly while I was busy putting the dacha in order. And then - relatives began to arrive ...

The mother was the first to get caught: she wanted it to flow better and turned away more - the lid flies off, all the water goes down at once! I explain that it is necessary to unscrew less. An hour later, the mother-in-law comes to the washstand ... Well, you understand. He explained the same thing, though not so calmly. And then the wife goes to wash her hands ... yes, not once, but twice within an hour! Taking into account the fact that the day is just beginning, and the water is imported and it is almost gone, my educational speech begins to resemble a motorcycle without a silencer.

And here the washbasin attracts the attention of children. Usually you can't force them to wash their hands, but this is under a normal faucet. Well, I make a special step for them from a large block of wood. Voila! Children unscrew the lid in the same way twice in a row! Scolding children does not turn language ... The next day I go to the store and buy a regular 3-liter plastic washbasin. Hung in the same place ... "

Method number 3: a faucet in the neck of a bottle

By analogy with the first two practically. We take a faucet from the washing machine, for example, a couple of turns of electrical tape, and you're done.

Method number 4: faucet in a plastic container

Instead of a bottle, we just take a five-liter plastic container, drill-cut a hole at the bottom, insert a purchased faucet. Voila. It remains to come up with a drain :)

Method number 5: a faucet in a regular bucket

Whoever likes it. Of the benefits - the bucket is easier to decorate (see the video below).

Method number 6: pin + cork + bottle

We make several holes in the lid of a large plastic bottle, plus 1 in the center. Insert a pin into the center. Attach a handle to the bottom. Inside we insert a rubber plug-plug attached to the pin. Like a drain plug in a bathroom or a faucet from an apothecary heating pad.

Method number 7: "for advanced"

We take a 5-liter bottle. We cut a hole 10 × 8 cm in its bottom.

We take a steel bar 18 cm long and 5 mm in diameter. With a hacksaw for metal, we cut the upper end of the rod along the axis. We separate the ends of the rod with a screwdriver. At the opposite end, I cut the M5 thread. On the rod we make two transverse cuts with a depth of 1 mm at a distance of 65 mm from the end. We hook a washer and a fixing bracket made of wire with a diameter of 3 mm onto the rod. We insert a clamping spring with a diameter of 10 mm into the bracket. Its height is 15 mm more than the height of the bracket. On the rod to the support washer we put on a rubber gasket with a diameter of 10 mm. Put a rubber washer on the bottom. Drill a hole in the center of the lid. We assemble everything: we fasten the bracket with the snap-in to the roof with two self-tapping screws, fasten the cap from the tube of toothpaste to the lower end of the rod. We cover the metal parts with enamel so that they do not rust, put them in a tank to dry. All…

Method number 8: a washbasin from a kettle

What could be easier? We hung up the kettle, put a basin underneath - that's all.

Do-it-yourself video on creating washstands

Method number 9: designer washbasin from buckets

A master class on creating a washstand from a galvanized bucket and a faucet, as well as a washbasin from a larger bucket, a colander and a siphon. The buckets are beautifully pasted over with a film, so they called it a “designer washbasin for a summer residence” :)
