The simplest do-it-yourself humidifier. The main characteristics of moisturizing elements. Plastic bottle humidifier

The Russian people are very resourceful. What a person just doesn’t come up with to save the family budget.One of these inventions ishomemade humidifier.

There are some easy waysmake a humidifierwith your own hands at home. Increasing the level of humidity in the room is very important. It is not necessary to use climate technology, you can be a little smart and do everything yourself.

From a bottle

You can make such a device yourself from the usual plastic bottle. You don't need to buy anything everything is at home.

This is the simplest method of humidifying indoor air during the cold season, when heating season and the heat dries it out.

So, the easiest and easiest way to make a humidifier with your own hands:

  1. Take a two-liter bottle of water or drink, also prepare scissors, a few cuts thick fabric, adhesive tape and gauze.
  2. In a plastic bottle do 10 cm rectangular hole on the side. On the bottom with scissors cut through a small hole, 4 cm wide.
  3. Use thick fabric for hanging the structure on the battery. Fasten plastic bottle to the top of the heater that goes to the radiator.
  4. Hang it horizontallyso that the hole on the side is at the top.
  5. The fabric will move out, so fix it with adhesive tape, put it on superglue or use tape.
  6. Next, cut off the gauze with scissors. Width should turn out 10 cm and length 1 meter. One end of the gauze is passed through a hole in the bottom, then, through a rectangular hole on the side output to the battery. wrap her several times, again put it in water and fix it on the heater near the bottle cap.
  7. Add water to the container and wait for the effect.

The water will take a long time to evaporate.A high degree of moisture cannot be achieved in this way.But this is the most a budget option homemade humidifier.

Can be added to water essential oils. Then the humidifier will also be a fragrance.

If the humidity in the room low , a plastic bottle will not save. In addition, you need to hang wet things or make another homemade device, which will perform a little better and suit your needs.

A fan with a humidifier is also an economical option for efficient air conditioning.

It has many advantages, including:

  • ease of use ;
  • the ability to carry throughout the apartment;
  • low energy consumption;
  • Can use not only as a humidifier, but also as an aroma lamp.

Humidify the air in the apartment not difficult if a man understands such technologies.

How to make a humidifier with your own hands from a fan:

  1. Wet the dense material with water, wring it out so that the liquid does not drip onto the floor. Hang the fabric at a height higher than floor fan. Install the last one after the material and turn it on. The fabric will have to be constantly moistened, which is not very convenient.
  2. For the second option, you will need a cooler, old disks, a container capacity 6 liters and plastic trimmings measuring 5 by 5 cm, glue gun, a motor from a children's toy and a gear. How to make a homemade humidifier: plastic parts necessary to seal the holes on the discs, then take the tube and put the discs on it, fix them together with a glue gun. Next, you need to make holes in the container, and insert a tube with disks into them. A gear is attached to one side, and the second is fixed with washers. It remains to install the electric motor from toys and connect with gear. The manufacture of a home-made air humidifier is completed by installing the cooler in the container lid and connecting it to the network. The discs in the container are filled with water, but not completely.

That's all. If followcorrect sequencemanufacturing homemade fan, everything will work out.

The second version of the humidifier is more effective.

From a plastic container

Necessary. The state of health of all living people in the house depends on this. This is especially important for allergy sufferers.

You can buy, or you can do it yourself with the help of improvised means. The second option is more economical nicer admire your own invention.

This method is more difficult than a plastic bottle humidifier, but also more effective.

Procedure:

  1. Take a mesh box, which should be slightly smaller than a regular plastic one. Attach the fishing line to the top, pull it.
  2. Hang the cut bandages on the fishing line. Gauze should reach to the bottom and hang freely there.
  3. Reticulate drawer installinto a large container filled with water.
  4. Then in the lid of a large container cut through a hole in the size of the fan, which is attached there with a glue gun or double-sided tape.
  5. It remains to turn on the fan in the network.

This design is very quiet. The fan is spinning, thus moisturizes air. Sometimes water needs to be added.

This room humidifier efficient and most importantly economical.

Ultrasonic

Ultrasonic humidifiers rightfully occupy the first place among such devices.

They are safe to use, emit little noise, have small compact dimensions, and are economical. Such devices have good performance, but are expensive in stores.

A Russian person has a very inquisitive brain, he does not want to buy expensive equipment. It's easier to save on it and do something like that device on one's own.

To make a homemade ultrasonic humidifier, you will need the following tools:

  • ultrasonic steam generator;
  • cooler with power supply;
  • plastic cup;
  • Styrofoam;
  • container;
  • corrugated tube of small diameter;
  • voltage transformer;
  • wires and plug.

A properly made humidifier will serve you faithfully for a long time. You can use it for more than one year.

It can be used in winter and summer, that is, at any time of the year when the air in the room seems too dry.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. In a food container do 3 holes. Their shape and size must correspond to the size of the cooler, pipe and wires that will come out of the emitter.
  2. Fasten, output corrugated tube. All docking areas lubricate with sealant.
  3. Wait, until the sealant dries, keep collecting the device.
  4. Coming from Styrofoam and plastic cup make a float. It is needed in order to ensure the smooth operation of the humidifier due to the steam generator. in foam do hole sized for a glass and paste into it. At the bottom of the glass do the same small hole for water to flow. And to the very bottom with a glue gun attach piece of gauze. This material will serve as a filter. An emitter is placed inside.
  5. Connect emitter to the voltage converter. All connections isolate .
  6. Fill container with water. Put a float insideclose it tightly with a lid.

The work is over. You can use a homemade humidifier by connecting it to the mains.

From expanded clay and buckets

Expanded clay is called light porous material, which is made by firing clay or shale.

To make a homemade humidifier, you will need wastebaskets. You need to buy 2 large and 2 small ones, only they must be with holes.

You will also have to buy a large bucket of 12 liters,aquarium pump, cooler. It is necessary to rent a building hair dryer, so as not to buy or use your own for hair.

Last thing , what is needed is plastic ties.

So, how to create a homemade humidifier for an apartment:

  1. small baskets glue upper parts. It can be done, melting plastic with a building hair dryer, use good building glue or glue gun. This will be the body of the humidifier.
  2. In the same way fasten big trash cans.Put inside the body of small buckets. Then large containers glue .
  3. The bottom of a large trash can cut off . Use a utility knife or scissors. In the resulting hole pour expanded clay. That is, a void is formed inside small buckets.
  4. Next take aquarium pump and place at the bottom of a 12 liter bucket. The tubes that come from her, output to the top of the mesh baskets, where a large hole is made for falling asleep expanded clay.
  5. Then as a lid install plastic ring.
  6. To the top of the structure attach computer cooler. It will direct air flows into expanded clay soaked in moisture.

A homemade humidifier is a real and doable task. It is within the power of anyone who is really interested in it. manufacturingat home.

Suggested manufacturing options are sure to come in handy. They can be used in the country, in a city apartment or in your own home.

The air in the room should always be comfortable for a person. Moreover, the principle of making homemade humidifiers is very simple.

Consumption ecology.Home:Many people believe that purchasing a humidifier for an apartment is an unfortunate and unnecessary undertaking. But that's not the case at all. This device is not a luxury at all. The more you can do ultrasonic humidifier air with your hands.

Many people believe that purchasing a humidifier for an apartment is an unfortunate and unnecessary undertaking. But that's not the case at all. This device is not a luxury at all. Moreover, you can make an ultrasonic humidifier with your own hands.

Very often, humidifiers are purchased because of the need to adjust the air quality in those rooms in which people constantly live. Such a need can be caused by the appearance of diseases, which can be caused by poor-quality, dry air, which makes breathing difficult and negatively affects overall well-being. In addition, dry air can harm not only people, but also pieces of furniture made of wood, natural parquet, as well as plants and flowers.

For a children's room, an air humidifier is simply an indispensable device, since insufficient air humidity is very harmful. children's body. Dry air damages the mucous membranes and increases the possibility of respiratory diseases.

Any kind of humidifiers for home and office does not need installation and has the ability to operate around the clock indoors, which may be an office, apartment or office. Such devices are quiet enough, so they can be installed in the bedroom.

TYPES OF HUMIDIFYERS

According to their structure and principle of operation, five main types of humidifiers can be distinguished:

  • Cold steam appliances.

This is the most traditional look humidifiers. Functioning this device is the cold evaporation of liquid. Water is poured into the tank, then it is sent to the sump, and from there to the evaporation cartridges. Most simple models have replaceable paper filters. From the evaporator elements, the air, moistened, passes into the room.

Such devices not only humidify the air, but also purify it. All dirt accumulates in cartridges and filters. For cold humidifiers, distilled water is used. The advantage of such devices is also that they save a lot of energy. It is also important that they work almost without noise. This type of humidifier is usually installed in the children's room and bedroom, as well as in offices. The disadvantage of such a device is only that they have little power.

  • Hot steam appliances.

The operation of these devices is based on the evaporation of a liquid by heating it. Such devices operate on the principle electric kettle. If the water in the evaporator is completely boiled away, the device turns itself off. Therefore, such devices are completely fireproof. This type of humidifier has a hydrostat, which allows the device to control the humidity of the air and turn itself off when this indicator reaches the desired value.

A steam or ultrasonic humidifier is best used in creating a comfortable climate in greenhouses. positive qualities steam appliances are easy to operate and use them for inhalation. You just need to add an infusion of medicinal components or aromatic oils to the device. Aroma oils allow you to use the device, also as an air freshener.

  • Ultrasonic devices

The principle of operation of an ultrasonic air humidifier is the transition of water particles to the state of a "water cloud". This is not due to the boiling of the liquid, but due to high-frequency vibrations. Dry air passes into the humidifier. Then, with the help of a fan, it is discharged into the room in the form of a cold mist. Such humidifiers do not heat water, so they can be used in rooms where there are small children.

Ultrasonic humidifiers are suitable for rooms that contain objects that need to maintain a certain level of humidity. These items include antiques, vintage furniture, musical instruments. Also, an ultrasonic humidifier can be installed in the living room.

The operating principle of the ultrasonic humidifier allows very precise control of humidity. Of course, such devices are quite expensive, but they are quite simple to make yourself.

  • Climate complexes

Such humidifiers help not only to humidify, but also to clean the air from any contaminants. The humidification process takes place on the principle of operation of steam appliances. The filter inserted into the device is most often anti-allergic and antibacterial. If the appliance is equipped with a charcoal filter, it will help rid the room of bad odors and tobacco smoke. These complexes can be installed in offices and children's rooms. Aromatherapy capsules can be inserted into some models.

Although all these types of humidifiers have their own advantages, ultrasonic humidifiers that you can make yourself are still very popular. Can help with this step-by-step instruction described below.

  • Spray humidifiers.

Such humidifiers spray a mist of water, which is tiny particles water. Leaving the humidifier, the suspension passes into a state of steam. Such devices are very powerful, but they are very expensive. Therefore, such humidifiers, which are also called atomizers, are installed only in industrial premises, where they can justify themselves.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF ULTRASONIC HUMIDIFYERS

The positive aspects of such devices are visible to the naked eye. These include a high degree of security, ease of use, low noise and small size, which is very important for Russian apartments. In addition, such humidifiers save electricity, despite good performance. Precise humidity control is also an important advantage.

The only drawback of such devices is that they have strict water requirements. It is best if it is distilled.

CREATING AN ULTRASONIC HUMIDIFIER

In order to make an ultrasonic humidifier with your own hands, you will need:

  • Ultrasonic steam generator.
  • Fan for computer.
  • Plastic container for 5 or 10 liters.
  • A plastic cup.
  • Detail from a children's donut-shaped pyramid.
  • Power supply for 24v7.
  • flexible pipe, corrugated.
  • Stabilizer.
  • aluminum corner

Everything you need to create a humidifier can be found at home or bought at a hardware store. The total cost of this home-made reception will be no more than one thousand rubles, which is significantly lower than the cost of a factory humidifier. So how to make an ultrasonic humidifier? Let's describe the whole process.

If the room has dry air, and there is not enough money to buy a humidifier, then you can solve this problem by spending just a couple of hours of free time. In principle, it is easy to make a humidifier from a plastic bottle at home. Of course, in appearance, the case will not be as beautiful as the models on sale, but it will perform the moisturizing function at a decent level. For your information, the humidity in the room should be between 40 and 60%.

Option #1 Bun with a volume of 6 l

To create a humidifier you will need:

  • 6 l plastic bottle;
  • fan from an old computer;
  • wire with a plug for 220 V.

We take a plastic bottle of 6 liters. Taking into account the fact that water will be poured into about 1/3 of the bottle, we cut 4 holes in the form of windows slightly above the water level. They should be placed horizontally on each wall opposite each other. That is, one small window will be placed on each side of the plastic bottle.

Important! Windows don't have to be big. In the future, they will be needed in order for air to escape from the humidifier.

It will be much easier to pour water into the container through the windows. Now you need to cut off the neck. And cut so that you can mount a fan from a computer on top. It is necessary to correctly calculate the diameter of the bottle. To do this, step back from the neck of the plastic bottle and cut off the top completely.

Further, in the upper part of the container, in the corners we make 4 holes. This is necessary in order to secure the fan. The device can be taken from an old computer. Such fans work from a regular 220 V network. Using a soldering iron, it is necessary to remove the remnants of old wires from the contacts. We use the usual plug and wire, designed for 220 V.

The ends of the wires should be stripped 0.5 cm. They need to be covered with a soldering iron with a thin layer of solder. To do this, use rosin. So that the user is not surprised in the future electric shock, it is worth putting 2 pieces of heat shrink tubing on the contacts. Only now the contacts are soldered to the fan. When they are soldered, we hide this part of the wires with the help of a heat shrink tube. To fix the tube on the wire, it should be heated with the side of the soldering iron. When heated, it shrinks and fits the contacts well.

Important! The air flow from the switched on fan must be directed towards inner part plastic bottle. That is, inside our humidifier.

To do this, you need to determine in which direction the fan is blowing. We turn on the network and use a sheet of paper to determine where the air flow is directed. We disconnect the device from the network for a while. Using four pieces of soft copper wire, we fix the fan housing at the very top of our plastic bottle. The wire is threaded into pre-made holes in the walls of the humidifier. After fixing, excess wire is removed with wire cutters.

If the fan does not closely match the diameter of the bottle, do not be upset, the main thing is to fix it correctly on four sides with a wire. In any case, with the help of these slots, the injected fresh air will be expelled from the can. When turned on, do not touch the fan blades with your fingers. It is quite powerful and this rash action can result in injury.

Pour water into the appliance through the window in the wall. Turn on the homemade device to the network. After an hour of operation of such a humidifier in a medium-sized room of 15-18 m2, the air humidity will rise significantly.

Important! The appliance to be connected to the mains must be placed on a level, stable surface out of the reach of children.

Option #2 1.5L bottle

Bottle above the radiator in a horizontal position - a simple free humidifier

We will need:

  • 1.5 l plastic bottle;
  • scissors;
  • a long strip of natural fabric,
  • scotch

In the middle of the bottle, on one of the walls, you need to cut a hole in the form of a square. It should be of medium size. Close the neck of the bottle with a lid. Using small longitudinal pieces of fabric, tie the bottle in a horizontal position. The container should be located with the window up to the pipe or battery. To keep the fabric from slipping off smooth surface plastic, you can use tape. Pour water through the hole you made. Humidifier with bottle being under hot pipe, not far from the battery, will humidify the air in the house due to the intensive evaporation of water.

You can lower part of the bandage into the window so that it gets wet on one side, and put its other side on the battery. This option will allow you to quickly and efficiently evaporate moisture.

You can use a similar humidifier. However, in this design, a window is not cut through on one side of the bottle, but many small holes are made using a soldering iron.

Important! Only one wall of a plastic bottle resembles a sieve. The opposite wall remains intact.

We collect water in such a humidifier, close the lid. The bottle can be placed on the battery in a horizontal position. It is important that the holes are above the water. Through them, during evaporation, water vapor will escape. You can hang such a structure with adhesive tape to the pipe.

Option #3 Radiator suspension

From a 1.5-liter bottle you can make a hanging humidifier for a battery

There is another option with which you can make a do-it-yourself humidifier from a plastic bottle. For this you will need:

  • plastic bottle of any size;
  • wire;
  • scissors.

Cut off half of the bottle with scissors. On the sides of the container, make several holes through which the wire will be threaded. As an option with a thick wire, you can make a mount to a pipe or battery, with which such a plastic humidifier will be fixed. It remains only to pour water and watch when it evaporates.

Option #4 Expanded clay pots

Take plastic bottles of 2-6 liters. Cut them in half. At the bottom, at the bottom, use a soldering iron to make 3 small holes. Put a little expanded clay on the bottom, cover it with earth. In such flowerpots it is necessary to plant cyperus. This plant loves moisture and good watering can evaporate up to three liters of water per day. If you put several pots with such a plant in a room, the air will constantly be humid. However, other flowers can be planted in such original pots, the main thing is not to forget to spray their leaves with a spray bottle.

Expanded clay is an excellent material for a homemade humidifier

The last thing that can be done from a seemingly completely unnecessary empty container is to cut off the top. Dial clean water and place it all over the room. Very basic but effective method humidify the air. Having spent only 15 minutes of free time, it is easy to create a good microclimate in the apartment in the winter.

Important! Alternatively, you can combine several methods of humidification, then for sure the humidity in the room will increase. However, do not forget that busting is also bad. In the house, this can cause condensation on the windows or, even worse, mold. Therefore, in any case, when humidifying the air, follow the readings of the hygrometer. Also an important factor for a good microclimate in the house is ventilation. It must be done regularly, no matter what time of the year.

An important point when using humidifiers is that they should not stand on the floor. They must be installed on a stool or chair. Alternatively, make a shelf for them. If you neglect this advice, a puddle will form on the floor. This is because water is heavier than air, so it will sink to the bottom.

An air humidifier is a device that serves to create a comfortable air humidity for the human body in the range from 40 to 70%. At home, in the presence of hands from the shoulders and necessary materials for design, it is quite possible to assemble a device that is in no way inferior to a purchased analogue.

Air humidifiers are divided into three types according to the principle of operation:

  • On cold steam. The principle of operation is as follows - due to the temperature difference between water and air, steam is formed, and the fan on the device helps to spray the evaporating water in the room.
  • Steam device. The vessel in which the water is located is heated, and the steam formed during the evaporation of water leaves the vessel into the room. Similar devices have low productivity, so they are not widely used.
  • ultrasonic device- a relatively new invention in which water is converted into steam by means of ultrasound, after which it is sprayed around the room. Outperforms analogues on cold steam in performance.

How to create an ultrasonic humidifier at home: scheme and work plan

  • ultrasonic transducer;
  • computer cooler for the processor;
  • plastic bottle with a capacity of 5-10 liters;
  • plastic cup;
  • a ring from a children's toy-pyramid;
  • power supply for 24 V, with a converter from 24 to 12 V;
  • plastic corrugated pipe;
  • aluminum corner.

Attention! Pure distillate is used for the operation of the humidifier with the ultrasonic transducer!

Holes are drilled in the lid of the container with an electric drill for mounting the cooler mount. The steam generator wire, outlet tube and fasteners are inserted into these holes, after which the fan is screwed to the container, and a plastic corrugated pipe is inserted.

The steam generator must always be on the surface of the water, for which it is placed on a platform made of a plastic cup. The glass is inserted into the ring from the children's pyramid, a hole is drilled in the bottom of the glass, a piece of fabric is attached to the bottom by means of an elastic band. The fabric in this case is needed as a filter. Then the steam generator is inserted into the cup.

The device does not require special care and maintenance, the only thing is that it is necessary to control that there is always water in it.

Important! The humidifier requires 24 volts for operation, and 12 volts for the fan. Therefore, the fan is powered through the stabilizer! It makes sense to use a variable resistor with an adjustment knob for smooth power adjustment, and place the converter chip and the resistor itself under an aluminum corner.

How to make a do-it-yourself humidifier from a plastic bottle: video recommendations

In general, you can collect a lot of things from plastic bottles. When designing a humidifier, you can go in two ways:

  • Make a cut along the side of the bottle along its length, approximately 10X2 cm, in the form of a rectangular window. The structure is suspended under a straight horizontal section heating pipes 10–20 centimeters from it. The bottle is filled with water. A strip of gauze about 10 cm wide and 1 meter long is cut out, the end of which falls into the cut-window. The gauze is wrapped around the pipe, and the process has started. The advantages of the method are the simplicity and cheapness of the device, the minus is the low productivity due to the direct evaporation of water without spraying.
  • Large, with a capacity of 10-20 liters, plastic bottle cut off the throat so that you can attach a cooler from the computer to it. We fix the cooler using the old computer block We supply 12 volts to it. On the sides of the bottle, about 7–10 centimeters from the top, we make holes for air to escape. Pour water just below the level of the holes, using adhesive tape, we attach the cooler to the neck of the bottle. We turn on the power supply unit in the outlet - the device starts to function. Pluses - simplicity and efficiency of the device, minus - not very neat in terms of aesthetics design, the need to disconnect the cooler every time when filling the tank with water.

How to make a humidifier on a battery with your own hands

The first option was described above, you can use a plastic eggplant by hanging it under the heating pipe. The second way is to put a metal pan, a large iron mug, etc. on the battery. with water, of a suitable size, so that it does not fall. The method, of course, is not aesthetic, but simple and practical. The bad thing is that scale forms at the bottom of the container, and it is quite difficult to remove it, so you should take a pan that is not very pitiful.

If you want everything to look nice and neat, you can take rectangular-shaped vessels with water and attach them with a rope (or wire hooks, the main thing is securely) with front side batteries. It turns out both a humidifier and a decoration for radiators.

How can a homemade humidifier differ from a purchased one?

Differences homemade devices from store-bought ones - the question is quite subtle in the sense that each device made by one's own hands is unique, it does not have any declared characteristics of power consumption or performance. A humidifier either satisfies requests and performs its task, or not.

Purchased devices, on the other hand, always have a typical, as a rule, neat and attractive design, always have a declared power consumption, performance, safety class, and clearly defined dimensions. But all this does not mean that a purchased humidifier is better than a homemade one - it all depends on specific models and on how the homemade apparatus is assembled.

Advantages of DIY humidifiers

The main advantage of a homemade device is its relative cheapness. Such devices are assembled, as a rule, from what was found on the farm. Therefore, their value tends to zero. In addition, no one limits the design thinking, and the final parameters of the humidifier depend solely on what materials and elements were used in its manufacture. And finally, all people feel pride from the fact that they did something themselves - this increases self-esteem. It is possible to judge which air humidifier is better - homemade or store-bought, only in each specific case.

Practical recommendations for making a humidifier at home with a photo

Beginner Kulibin can give the following recommendations:

  • It makes no sense to fork out for the purchase of components, it is better to think about what can be used from improvised materials. As Philias Fogg used to say - use what is at hand, and do not look for another;
  • When assembling and preparing the humidifier for operation, make sure that the contacts of the electrically powered elements are insulated from moisture;
  • You should think about the issue of aesthetics - if the device looks very clumsy, then it will annoy the spouse.

How to decorate a homemade humidifier with inexpensive materials

Colorful containers can be suitable as decoration, you can lay out the bottom of the container with sea pebbles, corals, shells. In principle, an entourage of artificial fish, starfish, crabs is suitable. There are a lot of options - there are no restrictions here, the main thing is to look nice.

According to medical recommendations, the humidity in any residential area should be at the level of 50% - only in this case, everyone staying there will feel comfortable. Low moisture content in the air impairs general well-being, increases the likelihood of various diseases leads to skin problems.

Humidifiers are used to set this indicator to a normal level and maintain it there.

What are humidifiers

All existing devices that serve to increase the moisture content in the composition of the air are divided into three types:

  • water;
  • steam;
  • ultrasonic.

The most simple variety such equipment - water humidifiers. Their work is based on the passage of air through the filter element, which is pre-moistened. The filter is most often cassettes made of several layers of paper. The increase in air content occurs during normal room temperature This is achieved through the natural evaporation of water. Although the efficiency of these types of devices is low, they are characterized by an affordable cost.

Steam humidifiers perform their functions by heating and evaporating water - something like a boiling kettle without a lid. Devices of this category are able to provide good hydration, but they are not safe to use - you can easily get burned. Therefore, the use of such humidifiers in a home with small children is not recommended.

The most modern and effective type of humidifier is ultrasonic. Inside the device there is a plate that vibrates, from this the water breaks into very small drops, the fan spreads them throughout the room. The effectiveness of such moisturizing is at a decent level.

A simple homemade humidifier

The modern market offers consumers a variety of humidifiers. different type, performance and prices. In addition, you can always make a humidifier with your own hands - developing simple models is quite simple.

There are many schemes for home-made devices to increase the moisture content in the air. Consider the process of creating a device of the simplest design.

Used materials and tools

First of all for self-manufacturing such a device will need to find a plastic container. Its dimensions do not play a big role, the main thing is that the height is at least 20-30 cm.

In addition to such a container, you will also need a fan from the computer. The last component of the future humidifier is the power supply, which will ensure the operation of the fan. For work computer coolers the voltage should be 12 V - a block of exactly this voltage will be needed.

After preparing all these materials, you must also prepare the tools. Among them:

  • drill;
  • soldering iron;
  • stationery knife.

Sequence of work

After preparing everything you need, you can begin the process of assembling the device. How to make a do-it-yourself humidifier of a simple design? The sequence of actions is as follows:

  1. Holes are drilled in the lid of the plastic container - through them a fan will be attached to the upper edge of the box;
  2. Next, on the cover, a place is marked where the cooler blades will be located. Using a clerical knife, a marked hole is cut;
  3. The next step is to install the fan in the place prepared for it using the selected mounts.

On this handmade production humidifier is almost complete: it remains only to connect the installed cooler with the power supply using a soldering iron, pour water into the container, close the lid. After that, the device will be ready for use.

Similar simple design is able to provide humidification of the air in the room by about 30 percent, which is a worthy indicator.

Humidifier using expanded clay

A home-made device that uses expanded clay is a higher efficiency material that absorbs moisture well and releases it. Since a device of this design provides a good increase in humidity, it can be used not only for domestic purposes, but also, for example, for growing mushrooms that require very high humidity.

To make a humidifier according to this scheme, you will need:

  • plastic wastebaskets - 4 pieces, two large and two smaller;
  • a bucket of 10-12 liters;
  • computer fan;
  • aquarium pump.

The process itself is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. Two small baskets are connected to each other. This can be done with glue, plastic fasteners or a household hair dryer.
  2. Baskets of large volumes are connected in the same way, by placing their connected small ones inside. In this case, a humidifier case will be obtained, similar in design to a thermos.
  3. Next, a hole is cut out in a large basket, expanded clay is poured into it.
  4. It is necessary to select this material so that the granules do not fall out through the slots in the baskets. Previously expanded clay is thoroughly washed with water.
  5. An aquarium pump is installed at the bottom of the water bucket, its tubes are brought out to the very edge of the bucket.
  6. A plastic ring, in which holes are made, is installed on top of the humidifier - from the holes, moisture will flow back into the bucket.
  7. A fan is installed on top of the ring, which will supply air to the inside of the humidifier, which, when moistened, will go outside through the holes in the baskets.

After pouring water into the bucket and installing the lower part of the made container with expanded clay into it, the home-made humidifier will be ready for use - all that remains is to supply power to the cooler.

Homemade Ultrasonic Humidifier

Now everyone knows how to make a humidifier of the simplest design. Ultrasonic types of such devices have more greater efficiency, can be used for domestic purposes, and when growing mushrooms, or for solving many other purposes. How to make an ultrasonic humidifier with your own hands?

The scheme of work is as follows: on the float, the piezoelectric emitter will descend into the water, producing "cold steam". A fan is used to supply air inside the case, which will also push steam out of there.

Materials:

  • a small plastic bucket with a lid is suitable for the body of the device;
  • computer fan;
  • two tubes 10-15 cm each, the diameter of which is the same as that of the cooler blades;
  • Styrofoam;
  • disposable cup;
  • emitter ultrasonic waves, which can be purchased at many radio parts stores.

After preparing the materials, you can begin to develop the device:

  1. Holes are made for pipes in the bucket lid. A cooler is installed on the top of one of them.
  2. A hole is made in the foam for the cup. It is installed in the hole - the float for the emitter is ready.
  3. Two holes are made in the bottom of the cup for water to enter. An emitter is placed inside such a float, water is poured into a bucket, the float is lowered there.
  4. The bucket is covered with a lid, the tubes are inserted into the prepared holes.

After that, you can turn on the emitter. If everything was done correctly, “cold steam” will immediately come out of the free tube. Thus, the emitter is a useful household appliance that you can do yourself.
