Projects of buildings and houses. Metal frame house Construction of metal frame houses

Frame houses have confidently occupied a niche in private housing construction. Traditionally, the frame for them was made of wood, but modern technologies now make it possible to quickly assemble frame houses, made of metal profile. Before you begin construction with your own hands, you need to familiarize yourself with this construction method in more detail.

Is it worth choosing?

During construction own home Many questions always arise. For myself I want to build the best, warmest and reliable home, so the main question is: is there any experience in using such technology, is it trustworthy?

A metal frame house is assembled from individual elements, which are delivered to the construction site in disassembled form with subsequent installation

Frame houses made of metal profiles are simplified miniature versions of skyscrapers and large long-span buildings. The difference is that in the construction of large buildings, massive rolled steel (channels and I-beams) are used, while houses made of metal profiles require the use of lightweight thin-walled elements (LSTK). The raw material used is the same – steel. But the thickness, dimensions and load-bearing capacity of the products differ.

The use of large rolled metal for DIY construction is not economically profitable because:

  • the cost of wall and ceiling elements increases significantly;
  • a large mass of parts leads to an increase in the load on the foundation and an increase in the cost of the structure;
  • the loads during the construction of private residential buildings are negligible compared to the loads in large industrial and commercial buildings, so there is no point in using powerful beams and racks.

Therefore, we can say with confidence that the technology is time-tested. The advantages of a metal frame include:

  • high strength of the material;
  • low weight allows maximum savings on foundations;
  • resistance to rotting and damage by fungus and mold;
  • high installation accuracy;
  • cheaper transportation;
  • absence of garbage and waste at the construction site4
  • the possibility of building houses with large spans and an open layout.

The disadvantages include:

Construction from metal structures - advantages and disadvantages
  • susceptibility to corrosion (rust);
  • high thermal conductivity (transmits heat);
  • reduction of evacuation time from the building in case of fire (loss of rigidity at high temperatures);
  • difficulty in securing hanging interior elements and furniture;
  • the need for potential equalization due to high electrical conductivity;
  • limited construction area (not suitable for massive elements).

Despite all the shortcomings, it is necessary to take into account that the speed of construction of the structure is quite high, and the simplicity of the work allows you to do the construction yourself.

Construction technology

When doing work with your own hands, it is important to proceed in stages. Consideration of the issue begins with the development of design documentation.

Project stage

All frame structures are manufactured in one factory according to pre-ordered dimensions. Even if execution is planned construction work do it yourself, when designing you will need the help of a specialist. Here the future owner has three options that differ in cost:

Option to completely assemble a house on a steel frame ( LSTK technology)
  • choose from ready-made projects and order from the factory all the elements necessary for assembly (the cheapest);
  • select a ready-made project and make minor changes to it (optimal);
  • order development individual project(dearest).

Usually the project includes the following composition:

  • floor plans, roofing;
  • building facades;
  • 3-D model of the house (not always);
  • necessary drawings and components for frame elements.

You can do without the help of specialists and develop a project yourself based on standard metal frame elements, but this is a difficult task.

Construction of the foundation

When constructing any facility, work begins with the foundations. The choice of support type is made based on the geological data of the site. In most cases for a light frame house optimal choice for construction with your own hands will be: shallow strip foundation, pile-grillage foundation.

The first type allows you to install on foundations 1-2 storey houses from light materials with good characteristics soil. The second option is suitable for heaving soils with not very good strength characteristics.

Frame assembly

From the factory, frame parts made from light steel frames arrive numbered and separately packaged. This greatly simplifies the DIY assembly process. The kit includes:

  • vertical and horizontal frame profiles with the necessary openings for utilities;
  • set of fastenings.

The parts come in the required length, there is no need to cut or adjust anything. The DIY assembly process is reminiscent of a children's construction set. You just need to use the manufacturer’s instructions, install the profiles in the designed position and secure them with the suggested ones. connecting elements. At this stage, difficulties should not arise if you follow the instructions and carefully check the labeling of the elements.

Important! To make the frame, it is recommended to choose a Z-shaped profile with grooves or perforations. Such an element, although made of “cold” material, allows heat to be retained. The second name for such an element is thermal profile. This is the most desirable option for private residential housing construction.

Insulation and enclosing structures

The final stage of assembling the building box will be the cladding of the frame. The work here is carried out using the same technology as for wooden frame houses. Covering options:

  1. Assembling structures with your own hands. The outer side of the metal frame is sheathed with corrugated sheets or glass-magnesium sheets, and insulation is laid between the racks. Mineral wool or extruded polystyrene foam can be used as thermal insulation. If your budget is limited, you can consider a cheaper option - polystyrene foam. When using foam or mineral wool it will be necessary to install a vapor barrier with inside and waterproofing from the outside. The inside sheathing can be done with plasterboard. The outer finish is fixed to a profiled sheet.
  2. Sandwich panels. They are made at the factory, where they can be painted in the desired color. Simplify and speed up the assembly process. The advantages include: resistance to aggressive environmental influences, high temperatures and fire, high thermal insulation characteristics, environmental friendliness and safety for humans. Another advantage is that the panels simultaneously act as insulation and exterior finishing, reducing work costs.
  3. Heat blocks. Modern material, which is a “brick” that includes a layer of porous expanded clay concrete, a layer of expanded polystyrene (foam) grade 25 and a facing layer of expanded clay concrete. The cladding is made of high-density material and is ready for painting. The advantage of the technology is the simultaneous creation of thermal protection and enclosing structure. Masonry joints are accepted to be no more than 5 mm. Conventional masonry mortar for bricks cannot meet this requirement, so special mortars or glue are used. Reinforcement is required every 4 rows of blocks to increase strength.

Low-rise metal frame houses are popular all over the world. According to statistics, housing construction on a metal profile frame occupies 80% of all buildings. The main consumer regions of this technology are Scandinavia, the USA, and Canada.

Such houses have many advantages compared to capital buildings and houses built on a wooden frame.

Distinctive features of metal frame houses:

  • strength;
  • durability;
  • short construction periods of buildings;
  • inertness to weather and climatic conditions;
  • low cost;
  • resistance to heat loss;
  • high fire safety;
  • seismic resistance;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • freedom in choosing architectural solutions;
  • non-shrink technology.

The iron frame, its elements - light steel thin-walled structures, consists of galvanized profiles and thermal profiles, fastening strips and plates for assembling the frame, different types corners. They are not subject to rotting, withstand temperature changes, precipitation, and are resistant to the elements. Steel profile can serve as the basis of a structure without damage for more than 100 years.

It is possible to construct a building on a frame made of LSTK within a month. The parts of the building base are lightweight, which eliminates the use of lifts and cranes. Fastening of frame parts is carried out using threaded connections. These include: self-drilling or tapping screws, bolted connections.

Features of houses on a metal frame

Frame house construction is not tied to the climate in the region. A metal frame for a house can be assembled in any climatic zone, the main condition for weather conditions is comfort for workers performing installation.

The emergence and development of technology for the construction of residential buildings on metal frames is caused by the need to quickly erect low-rise buildings from materials cheaper than wood and the ability to establish industrial production frame parts.

The final cost of a frame house made from a metal profile and sandwich panels is significantly lower than construction from brick, gas blocks, wood and ceramic blocks.

High thermal insulation characteristics of structures are ensured by high-quality insulation. Heating such buildings is much easier and more economical. Heat transfer resistance frame wall a thickness of 25 cm is equal to that of masonry with a thickness of 1.5 m.

Sandwich panels used in frame construction, use mineral wool insulation. Its temperature range is -60…+400ᵒС. Characteristics wall panels make the house resistant to acids and other aggressive environments, temperature changes, and fire. The material from which they are made does not accumulate moisture and is resistant to damage by rodents and microorganisms.

Mineral wool insulation is natural and environmentally friendly. Frame elements made from LSTC can be reused. This property is highly valued by mining companies that build rotational camps. This causes less damage to the regional ecology.

Due to the light weight of the base and sandwich panels, the buildings do not shrink. In buildings built using this technology, it is possible to use different architectural possibilities, since spans without installing intermediate supports can reach 14-24 m.

Disadvantages of a metal profile frame

The base of metal parts has several disadvantages.

  1. In the event of a fire, the galvanized iron base loses its rigidity, the building twists in a spiral, it falls and warps. This feature reduces the evacuation time for residents. Wooden beam, as opposed to iron, is charred under the influence of fire, but maintains its shape.
  2. The complexity of installing built-in furniture and household appliances. To solve the problem, at the design stage, houses are determined with their installation locations, which are reinforced with additional profiles and wooden panels.
  3. Limited number of storeys in the house and the impossibility of using heavy building materials.
  4. High conductivity electric current metal frame. Protection against this problem is the potential balancing system.

Manufacturing and installation of frames from LSTK

The skeleton of the house is made of C- and U-profiles. They are connected with self-tapping screws. The pitch between the racks is 600-1000 mm. It takes into account the dimensions of the insulation panels and allows you to conveniently attach other finishing materials.

If a house is being built according to an individual project, then after its development and approval of all the nuances for the placement of furniture and household appliances in the premises future construction making a 3D model of the house. This allows customers to see the final result in miniature. At the end of the design documentation process, the drawings are transferred to the plant that produces the metal frame parts.

On the production line, each part is manufactured separately, numbered, and packaged. Finished parts are equipped with holes for fastenings and engineering Communication. To install the skeleton of the house, the base parts include connecting elements.

Buildings based on individual projects are much more expensive than houses made according to standard designs. To reduce the cost of housing construction, you can use a standard project with a frame made of thermoprofile or light steel thin-walled structures according to Canadian technology. What distinguishes it from other technologies for the rapid construction of buildings is its frame made of light reinforced concrete and special SIP panels, which have special thermal insulation characteristics.

In the case of housing construction standard project the customer receives a finished frame of a certain size and shape. The base parts are labeled and packaged according to the house drawings.

As insulation, in addition to mineral wool, you can use:

  • basalt slabs;
  • expanded polystyrene;
  • ecowool.

Brick and porcelain stoneware are used to decorate the exterior walls of the house. Often used as facade finishing frame buildings curtain ventilated facades are used various types. Finishing materials such as siding and block house are becoming increasingly popular. Plastering and painting facade walls have not lost their relevance.

Complete with frame parts and connecting elements, the customer receives a description of the project, recommendations and instructions for assembling the frame, and a specification of all elements.

Construction is always associated with large expenses and a lot of problems. It seems that this will last forever. This is what clients thought before, when they were not familiar with the technique of building houses from LSTK.

Today, the technology for constructing inexpensive panel-frame houses allows you to buy or build them on a turnkey basis in a matter of days, and what is most important is that you can live in it permanently, without moving to a city apartment for the winter.

Turnkey house made of metal frame

Buying a frame house does not always mean purchasing a finished building. Selling a house sometimes comes down to delivery to the site. In this case, the buyer is responsible for assembly and finishing independently.

The cost of the “turnkey house” service is the price of the project plus the house kit (frame, fastening materials). Additional work(assembly, finishing inside, outside, etc.) the client chooses at his own discretion.

Which is better: buy a kit house or a ready-made house?

The company "Euro Stroy" is engaged in the sale, as well as their turnkey construction. The client is free to choose the project and materials. He decides what kind of house it will be: a small one-story dacha or beautiful house 6 by 8 m with an attic. It is noteworthy that in both cases it will be an economical option for a residential building when compared with the cost of a similar structure made from other materials. By choosing the “turnkey house” option, you:

  • You don’t risk making mistakes when assembling the frame;
  • Don't waste time on construction;
  • Completely rely on the experience of employees;
  • You can control the process at all stages of construction;
  • You receive a finished house on an empty plot 8-16 weeks after laying the foundation;
  • Don't pay for shipping finishing materials;
  • You get a guarantee.

We build comfortable houses from a special thermal profile - you see the options in the photo. Let us decorate your home beautifully decorative panels German company Döcke Extrusion. You cannot distinguish it from an expensive elite brick cottage. We will adapt the project to any layout. We will arrange a separate room for a swimming pool or winter Garden. We will create an elegant terrace with a balcony, professionally glaze the windows or make panoramic glazing. For convenience, we will add a garage and provide heating. The main thing is that it will take a maximum of 2 months. The final deadline will depend on the complexity of the project. .

A house made of metal profiles is a profitable option for building a living space. With such construction, you can save 15-20% of the total estimate, starting from the stage of laying the foundation. In this material we will look at the main types metal profiles, which are suitable for residential construction, as well as the advantages of prefabricated technology and its comparison with permanent structures made of stone and concrete.

Metal profiles for the home: is it worth trusting?

Many people know what a metal profile is; for those who hear this word for the first time, we inform you that this is a rolled metal product intended for the installation of prefabricated residential and industrial structures, which is also called a LSTK profile.

The LSTK profile is made of galvanized high-strength steel and has several types of execution (depending on the architecture of the future building). LSTK profiles are produced by metal rolling plants using special roll forming equipment.

Profile manufacturing stage

The rolled steel is unwound and fed to the cutting machine, after which special device forms the profile itself, or rather its shape. At the output, the machine cuts the required length according to the specified criteria. That's it, the profile is ready. Everything is packed and sent to the warehouse, then to the customer.

Houses made of metal profiles

The construction industry is developing rapidly. LSTK and LMK, since they came to Russia, have already managed to gain some trust from the consumer. Thus, many, following the Western vector of development, adopt experience and begin to build frame houses from metal profiles, the price of which is 15-30% cheaper than building brick or wood.

Obviously, the prefabricated LSTK technology, which has existed since 1950, now makes it possible to introduce metal profiles not only into warehouses or hangars, but also into country houses and cottages.

Interesting fact: LSTK technology was developed in the middle of the last century in order to eliminate the shortage of residential real estate.

Building a house from metal profiles

Before starting construction or design, it is important to determine the feasibility and necessity of using lightweight steel frames as a tool for the construction of a residential building. To answer this question, let's take a look at the advantages of LSTK technology:

  • Frame house made of metal profiles will be durable and reliable (when installed by professional workers).
  • Houses made from LSTK and LMK have proven themselves to be seismically resistant structures.
  • The LSTK profile is coated with a layer of zinc, which reliably protects it from aggressive environmental influences.
  • Installation at any time of the year, the so-called “wet installation” technology.
  • Affordable price and constant availability of consumables.
  • Easy to assemble and install.
  • Highest environmental Safety building.
  • No shrinkage on the foundation and savings on foundation construction.

This is far from full list positive characteristics that prefabricated buildings have.

Saving time and money

LSTK is affordable construction. Starting from the design stage, you can start saving big by choosing a standard solution (project) as a platform that is suitable for your climatic conditions. You can also save on pouring the foundation, because... Even a shallow foundation is suitable. It is recommended to invest all funds in insulation, vibration insulation and fire protection of these insulation materials.

Conclusion: build!

Definitely, the answer is clear and obvious. A house made of metal profiles, the price of which is clearly lower than a standard brick or wooden one, will always weigh in its favor. And not only the price, but also the advantages described above. The main thing in construction is a reliable team of professionals who can quickly and on time implement any of your ideas. The quality of workmanship plays the most important role, after all, a house is everyone’s personal fortress and it must be built according to state rules and standards.
