How beautiful to decorate the door. DIY door decor - master class and stencils. How beautiful to wallpaper the door

To equip the doorways of bathrooms, products made of solid wood, chipboard or plastic are used. Operation of these products in conditions high humidity adversely affects appearance canvases. It is not easy to dismantle the old structure and install a new one, given the current cost of a quality door. Therefore, many people have a question, how to finish the inner door in the bathroom.

Preparing the door leaf for restoration

Before proceeding to the restoration, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the stages of this work.

There are many ways to update the surface of the door leaf, but regardless of the choice, first of all, you will need to prepare a list of tools:

  • Building hair dryer;
  • Plane;
  • Putty knife;
  • polished machine;
  • Sandpaper.

The first stage of work is to process and clean the canvas from the old coating.

Important! Removal of the old coating will be required regardless of what type of finish is planned in the future.

Restoration work begins with the removal of the door from its hinges.

Removing the canvas from the hinges

The removed sash is laid on a previously prepared surface. The place for the restoration of the product is chosen so that it is well lit and ventilated.

All elements are removed from the door so that a bare canvas remains. If there are glass inserts, they must also be carefully removed. After cleaning the canvas from unnecessary elements, they begin to remove the old coating.

You can remove old paint in a variety of ways:

  • If the canvas has a thin layer of paint, it is advisable to use a special wash, which is a chemical agent that contains acid. This method is considered the most gentle. A wash with a brush is applied to the door covering and wait a certain time indicated in the instructions for use. Soon the old coating will swell, after which it is removed with a spatula.

chemical solution applied to old paint with a brush or roller

Important! When applied chemical agent to clean the surface of the canvas, keep hands and eyes away from the product.

  • When many layers of paint have already been applied to the canvas, a lot of effort will have to be made. In such cases, a special hair dryer is used. Under the influence of hot air, the coating will swell, after which it is also removed with a spatula. This method is quite effective, but sometimes, due to imprudent work, the surface of the door can be damaged.

Removing old paint with a spatula using a building hair dryer
  • If there is no building hair dryer, you can use another method. Put a damp hard cotton cloth on the door leaf and press down with a heated iron. After two minutes, remove the rag and iron, and clean off the paint with a spatula. This procedure is quite laborious, and with its help it is difficult to clean uneven places on the canvas from paint. At the same time, the fabric and the surface of the iron quickly get dirty, which will also have to be cleaned.

Door leaf renewal

The particles of the old coating remaining after cleaning are removed with sandpaper. First you need to walk along the door leaf with coarse-grained sandpaper, gradually moving to the “zero”.

Important! Grinding work is carried out along the fibers to avoid the formation of transverse lines.

Sanding grinder

After grinding, the canvas is inspected for the presence of various defects. Small cracks are eliminated with putty. Large indentations are more difficult to eliminate. In most cases, to eliminate large defects in the canvas, you will have to cut out the damaged fragment and prepare an overlay from wood. It is adjusted in size and attached to the canvas with glue. Putty is also used to eliminate minor gaps resulting from gluing.

With a lacquered door, all manipulations from removing the old top layer are identical. Only one point differs - the choice of putty must be approached with special responsibility. Since the varnish is transparent, any flaws will be visible under it. The color of the canvas can be changed with varnish or stain.

Important! Internal laminated or veneered structures must not be painted. For their restoration, completely different methods are used.

Designs of this kind can be updated with a special wax pencil.

Wax pencil, photo

The pencil is first heated, after which all scratches and cracks are treated. The main thing is to choose the right tone of the pencil for the color of the door. If the material is chosen correctly, in this case, all processed errors will become almost imperceptible.

Choice of decor

The second stage is the direct choice of the type of decoration that will be applied next.

Coloring

The easiest way to update an old door is to paint it. But, given the features of the bathroom, you need to choose the right paint. It must be resistant to excessive humidity, temperature changes and not be afraid of frequent cleaning.

What paint is suitable for the bathroom door

The range of paint is small, these are alkyd or acrylic compounds.

Advantages of alkyd paint:

  • Ideal for painting canvases made of MDF and chipboard;
  • available;
  • Protects well from moisture;
  • Not afraid of frequent washing;
  • Has an extensive color palette.

Disadvantages of alkyd paint:

  • Professionals do not recommend using paint for natural wood structures.

Important! Wood has the ability to "breathe", and alkyd compounds are vapor-tight.

This kind of coating exfoliates rather quickly, as a result, cracks appear on the surface.

  • The smell of paint does not disappear for a long time.

Advantages of acrylic paint:

  • Surpasses alkyd paints in terms of service life;
  • Not afraid of temperature changes and humidity;
  • Easy to clean;
  • There is no strong smell. There are compositions and completely odorless.

Flaws:

  • Despite the speed of drying paint, it remains susceptible to the slightest damage within a month.

Which paint do you prefer: glossy or matte?

Concerning the choice of the type of paint among professionals, disputes have not subsided for a long time. By their own decorative properties paints are divided into the following types:

  • Matte;
  • glossy;
  • Satin;
  • Semi-gloss;
  • Semi-matte.

The matte surface is the most unstable. This type of paint is completely unsuitable for covering door panels located in bathrooms due to high humidity. Glossy paint is also not quite suitable for the bathroom, because it has an excessive shine.

Door leaf painting, photo

Important! If the gloss of the canvas does not bother, then it is quite possible to apply this type of bathroom paint. Since from a practical point of view, gloss becomes the best option. Smooth surface does not absorb dirt and is less prone to staining.

Semi-gloss and satin paints are an average and versatile option.

After determining the type of paint, you can proceed to the direct painting of the door leaf. The key rule is the wise choice of color, as the painted door must be combined with the elements of the bathroom. Apply paint in any convenient way in 2-3 layers.

Another option for door restoration is a combination of several colors. First, the canvas is covered with one color. After drying, it is processed with sandpaper, and a second shade is applied. You can create the desired texture with the help of graters. After the canvas dries, it is varnished. A door finished in this way will acquire new life.

How to restore doors from chipboard

This kind of material is not resistant to high humidity, so it is recommended to approach the restoration procedure responsibly. For this kind of material, you should not use a hair dryer, sandpaper for grinding, as this is fraught with surface deformation.

To remove the top layer of paint, you will have to resort to the "grandfather" method (iron and cloth) or apply a wash. With a spatula, the paint layer is very carefully removed to avoid damaging the canvas.

Grinding is done only by "zero". After gentle manipulations, paint can be applied.

Important! The best option for updating a chipboard structure is veneer gluing.

Choosing the right paint is an important, but the last step in the restoration of the structure. Equally important is accurate coloring, which is quite difficult to do without certain skills.

Replacing old doors with new ones is quite expensive, because interior doors the toilet and bathroom are mostly done in the same style, that is, if you change, then all at once.

Therefore, we offer 4 master classes on how to update wooden doors with your own hands with photos and detailed instructions. And not just to paint, but to embody interesting design solutions!

The simplest and easiest update method is to make beautiful geometric door stickers. To do this, you need a self-adhesive film, preferably contrasting with the color of the door.

  1. Make a preliminary marking of the pattern on the surface with a pencil.
  2. Apply the film and press and rub the air under the film with a rag.
  3. This method does not require removing the door leaf from the hinges; it can also be done in a vertical position.

ATTENTION: Just please do not completely cover the doors with a film under the structure of the tree! It looks awful and old fashioned! It is better to take a plain film and geometry.

You can paste over the doors with a one-color film for drawing with chalk, it is not cheap, but it looks impressive. And change the inscriptions every day!

Painting wooden doors

Also, this method is not laborious and requires a minimum of costs! You can paint interior doors in absolutely any color! Here we will detail how to do this. But painting requires necessarily removing the doors from the hinge.

What paint do we paint:

  • Any for interior and interior woodwork, water and acrylic based- it is absolutely odorless! Alkyd paint you have nothing to do!
  • Take matte and not glossy. Glossy will emphasize all the bumps on your surface.
  • Paint in a can is dangerous because if you paint for the first time, you are unlikely to paint evenly !! Also, if you are going to paint right in the apartment, keep in mind that it “flies” in all directions. Therefore, it is better for beginners to start with regular paint and a roller.

What we paint and the technique of painting the door:

  • Solid and smooth doors - only wide roller! We paint in 2-3 layers with a very thin coating.
  • If the doors are with panels, then first we paint all the recesses with a thin brush, and then we already make a full coverage with a roller.

door with slats

A door with embossed overlay strips looks much more original and interesting than a regular flat one. Making such changes is quite simple and does not take much time. For the money, the cost is only a little more than just painting, and much cheaper than buying a new door.

Necessary materials:

  • Door
    Overlay wooden planks
    Roulette
    Long ruler and building corner
    Pencil
    Saw
  • miter box
    Liquid nails or other wood glue
    Scotch
  • Paint (here white)
    Building level (not necessary, but it will help a lot to check how evenly you install overhead planks)

Step-by-step instruction:

Step 1: Paint the door. First you need to repaint the old wooden door in the chosen color, in this case white. Leave to dry.

On top of the dried paint, you need to mark the attachment of overhead wooden planks. To do this, draw lines with a pencil (not pressing hard on it) and a ruler to get perpendicular lines, use a building corner.

In this case, the drawing consists of two rectangles located one above the other.

  • In the photo below you can see all the calculations that show how much to retreat: 5 "(about 13 cm) everywhere except the bottom of the door, where the distance from the edge to the line is 6" (about 15 cm).
  • You can make other indents, depending on the size of the door (for example, if you decide to update the doors of the lockers in the same way, you obviously need to retreat less).

Step 3: Cut out the planks

Now you need to cut the strips of the appropriate size (measure the length of the marked lines). If you don't have a home necessary tools, this can be done directly at the hardware store for a small surcharge. If you do it yourself, then you will need not only a saw, but also a miter box to cut the ends of the slats at an angle of 45 degrees.

Step 4: Attaching the Planks

Lay all planks on the marked lines. Make sure they are all desired length and converge evenly at the corners.

  1. Now lift each plank in turn, apply glue to it and put it back in place. If suddenly excess glue has leaked out from under the bar, it can be removed with a damp paper towel.
  2. Glue must dry for about 24 hours. In order for the planks to stick evenly and securely, attach them for the drying time with adhesive tape, fixing the position and pressing down.
  3. More adhesive tape ensures secure fastening.

Note: you can glue already painted planks, or glue and then paint; you can also not paint the door at the beginning (skip step 1), but do it already with the glued strips.

Step 5: Install the door

After the glue dries, you need to carefully peel off the adhesive tape from the door, it is better to use masking tape that does not leave marks.

Now it remains to put the altered door in place and attach the handle. And everything is ready!

door with overlay panels

This master class differs from the previous one in that here we will not only fix the slats, but also fill the inside of the doors with overlay panels.

Necessary materials:

  • Plastic panels (here we make these, but you can also use wooden ones)
  • Roulette
  • Pencil
  • Building level
  • Construction adhesive
  • latex paint
  • screwdriver
  • masking tape
  • Hand saw
  • screws
  • Safety goggles and earmuffs
  • Putty for plastic
  • Putty knife
  • Sander (or sandpaper)

Step-by-step instruction:

Step 1: Fix door defects. If the door is very old and has some defects that cannot be hidden by painting (for example, the top coating has broken off in places, or there are deep scratches), then initially you need to remove them and make the surface even.

  • To do this, apply wood putty and let it dry
  • then equalize surface grinder go sandpaper .

Step 2: Plan the layout of the planks

We will make the marking here the same as in the previous case, that is, we retreat 5 "(about 13 cm) everywhere except the bottom of the door, where we leave 6" (about 15 cm).

ADVICE: If there is no long ruler, the lines can be applied using the building level.

Step 3: Attaching the Panel

Apply construction adhesive to reverse side plastic panels.

Attach the panels to the door and check their position with a spirit level. The sides of the panels must be clearly parallel to the edges of the door.

Press down on the panel until it is firmly pressed against the door and firmly stuck. Secure this entire structure around the perimeter with small screws using a screwdriver.

Step 4: Attaching the Planks

Again, you can either cut the slats to right size at the store, or do it yourself using a saw and a miter box. The planks should surround the panels along the perimeter, tightly adhering to them.

Note: planks can initially be glued with building glue, and then fixed with screws.

Here is what should happen at this stage:

Step 5: Paint the door. Now it remains only to paint the door and leave to dry completely.

Now compare the door before and after repair:

The overlay relief makes the door more stylish and affects the appearance of the entire room as a whole:

Do not be afraid to change old things and give them a different look. Give them the opportunity to serve you again, but in a new guise!

Even the most reliable and quality doors over time, they fade, scratch and rub off. The varnish cracks and becomes cloudy, the paint is chipped, the wood is dry. But even this can be used to create your own unique and inimitable style. It is enough to approach the issue creatively - and you do not have to get rid of old doors and waste time going to hardware stores. And we are ready to offer some ideas!

1. Painting

The easiest way to freshen up a door with minimal design changes is to repaint it in a new color. Choose a solid color fill if you prefer minimalism, or highlight individual parts if you like more complex artistic solutions.

Looks good in small classic rooms light doors, but in laconic monochrome minimalism it can be turned into an independent accent. To do this, choose rich reds, yellows, greens and blues.

Acrylic paint works best: it's easy to work with, eco-friendly, odorless, indoor-friendly, and harmless to health. This is especially important when it comes to the doors to the bedroom or children's room.

Before painting, prepare the base, because the paint lays down in a thin layer and does not hide defects. Sand and prime the surface, repair strong chips and cracks with special sealants. Paint is recommended to be applied in even stripes from top to bottom or from left to right.

If the door is textured, first paint over the inserts, then the central strips, and only then the sides. And to keep a fresh coating for a long time - cover the paint with a layer of glossy or matte varnish.

Another simple staining technique is to splatter paint over the surface in random spots. This finish immediately creates a creative atmosphere in the room artistic workshop. Hard brushes, toothbrushes and even toothpicks are suitable for spraying.

2. Wallpapering

In order not to paint the door leaf by hand, it is enough to paste over it with wallpaper to match your interior. In the living room and bedroom, ordinary paper ones are enough, but for wet rooms, pay attention to liquid wallpaper.

Before gluing, be sure to get rid of the old coating, otherwise the adhesion will be much worse. To remove old paint, warm it up with a building hair dryer and use a spatula. After that, seal all defects with putty on wood and treat the surface with fine sandpaper.

When choosing wallpapers, the main thing is that they match the wall decoration: you can even combine several collections or use photo wallpapers. To avoid bubbles, spread the adhesive evenly over the entire base and avoid missing areas. Carefully level the wallpaper with a roller and avoid drafts until it dries.

3. Fabric decor

Pasting with a cloth resembles wallpaper, only looks more interesting due to the texture. If you still have unnecessary, but beautiful trimmings, you can make a real one. patchwork quilt on the door. It will interestingly fit into ethnic styles, boho, country or Provence.

You can fix the fabric with glue or with the help of special furniture staples - like upholstery on a sofa. The advantage of mechanical fasteners is that they are easy to remove to replace a boring coating. For decoration, use lace, beads, tassels, fringe, braid and any other decorative trifles to your taste.

4. Leather upholstery

Leather upholstery is an alternative to fabric finishing for classic noble interiors, such as English style. Such a door always looks expensive and luxurious in the living room or office. Moreover, it does not have to be genuine leather: now there are enough more affordable, functional and environmentally friendly substitutes.

For fastening, use glue and special rivets that evenly fix the canvas and form elegant patterns. For decor, pay attention to embossing, painting, fine carving, finishing metal fittings and straps. Such a door will fit well in industrial styles like loft or grunge.

5. Craquelure

The craquelure effect is familiar to everyone, even if you don’t know the name of this phenomenon yet. This is the same aged crack grid that is often used in vintage and industrial interiors. It is created using a special paint or varnish, which provokes cracking, but unlike natural wear and tear, such a coating is strong and durable.

Craquelure can be one- or two-step: depending on the number of layers. Contrasting shades look good, but with each new layer, wait for the previous one to dry completely. You can apply such a coating not only on wooden, but also on any other doors.

6. Stickers and stencils

If you are bored with plain doors, feel free to paint the canvas by hand. Can't draw? It doesn’t matter, because the simplest and most concise floral or geometric motifs that do not require high artistic skills are in fashion.

To make the drawing even and neat, use stencils that can be printed in advance. They allow you to accurately imagine exactly how the ornament will be located, and not to miss even in small things.

Bright and fashionable decorating tool - vinyl stickers and stickers. For discreet interiors, simple black silhouettes or laconic patterns are suitable, and for kitsch pop art, bright and colorful stickers, posters, and comic book clippings are suitable.

7. Decoupage

Decoupage is a simple and affordable technology for finishing old doors, facades and furniture. The technique practically does not require special skills, materials and tools. Sometimes ordinary paper napkins and glue are enough, because in essence this is a complicated application.

Decoupage requires a perfectly smooth sanded and degreased surface. After that, you can paint the door with acrylic paint for contrast, but be sure to dry it. To glue the drawings, a PVA solution with water is used, and to fix the result, a transparent furniture varnish is used.

8. Aging

This is not a mistake: to breathe new life into old doors, age them even more. To do this, there are many techniques: from mechanical processing to special paints and coatings.

The roughest and brightest aging for a loft or country is brushing doors made of oak, ash or conifers. The surface is treated with a hard metal brush, which destroys all soft fibers. The relief of the tree appears even more clearly and expressively, but this is not suitable for all varieties.

Elegant scuffs for Provence or Shabby Chic are created using a paraffin layer. First, the canvas is painted with bright colored paint, after which it is thickly rubbed with wax or paraffin. A contrasting light or pastel coating is applied on top, which is then polished with sandpaper. Paraffin is removed in some places and reveals the lower layer of paint.

The second way to elegantly age is the dry-brush technique, which designers borrowed from artists. It is extremely simple: pick up a little paint on a dense and flat dry synthetic brush and swipe over the base. The hairs will not leave continuous strokes and lines, forming an intermittent scratched layer.

9. Mosaic

Mosaics for decorating interiors are good for their uniqueness and aesthetics with ease of execution. Instead of buying a ready-made drawing, you can lay out a fancy abstraction yourself. And there will definitely not be a second door like this anywhere else.

To create a mosaic, glass, ceramics, small tiles, acrylic, pebbles and shells, and any other little things are used. The main thing is to draw a sketch in advance and think over the location of all the details, because even chaotic ornaments will be neat and harmonious only if you think them over in advance.

10. Mirror

Mirror inserts in doors are one of the most functional ways of decorating. This a good choice for small rooms, because reflective surfaces visually add volume to the room. At the same time, such a door can replace a separate wall mirror or mirror panel of a closet.

Ready-made decorative mirrors are difficult to use to decorate a door, so reflective acrylic panels come in handy in this case. Their advantages are ease of processing and a variety of colors. If you still have fragments of old mirrors, you can use them too - make a mosaic out of them.

11. Stained glass

Stained glass is a classic decoration of windows and doors since ancient times. This technique was used in temples, palaces and rich houses - only the subtlety of execution differed. Now there are three main options: order an individual stained-glass window according to your sketch, purchase a ready-made insert or paint the glass yourself.

To apply the picture, translucent acrylic paints on glass are used. You will also need to create an outline - the illusion of metal inserts connecting the elements. But do not paint directly on the door, because the glass must lie horizontally, otherwise the paint will drain from the surface.

12. Molding

To make the most simple and budget door luxurious and elegant enough for classic interiors, use molding. These are ready-made elements that imitate stucco, bas-reliefs and other decorative inserts.

The simplest molding is made of polyurethane or foam, so it can simply be glued or planted on liquid nails. And to make a beautiful aged door, be sure to paint it over the top and use contrasting colors or gold for details.

DIY old door decor - photo

This is not a complete list of options that you can implement on your own. Do not be afraid of experiments and imagination, because the old door has nothing to lose anyway. And we offer you more more photo ideas for inspiration!

Consider some of the easiest ways to decorate interior doors with your own hands using improvised materials.

As you know, doors are not eternal, and anything can happen. For example, often scratches, chips, cracks appear on the door leaf. In this case, you can repair, replace or decorate carefully, hiding all defects.

Covering the door with wallpaper

To decorate the door, you can use not only paper, vinyl and non-woven wallpaper, but also fabric or liquid.

In this case, the canvas should be prepared by removing a layer of paint in advance, filling irregularities, cracks and sanding the surface.

The applied primer layer will provide additional adhesion of the wallpaper to the door surface.

Wallpaper can be pasted over both the entire canvas and the panels, cutting out pieces of wallpaper of a suitable size. Don't forget to choose the glue that suits the type of wallpaper and dilute it according to the instructions.

Wallpaper classic

Lubricate the cut wallpaper with glue and apply it to the door, making sure that there are no jams and distortions. Smoothing the wallpaper soft cloth, roller or wide plastic spatula. Carefully cut off the excess with a clerical knife. Additionally, you can decorate by gluing a foam plinth frame over the wallpaper.

For the period of drying of the wallpaper, it is advisable to close the windows in the house and exclude the appearance of drafts, a sharp temperature drop.

Textile

The door decorated with fabric looks very unusual and attractive. In addition to the standard surface preparation, attention should be paid to the fabric itself, ascertaining the degree of shrinkage.

We cut off a small piece of fabric, measure its dimensions, moisten it with water and dry it. After drying, we again take measurements, comparing the readings and finding out the degree of shrinkage. If the value is large, then we also wet the entire piece of fabric before decorating and leave it to dry.

Note! You can use not only a single piece of fabric, but also cut fragments of different colors and textures. This technique is called "patchwork" and is often used by designers in the design of premises.

For fabric, casein glue, a composition based on CMC, as well as Bustilat or Gumilaks mastics are best suited. We apply the adhesive to the fabric and apply it to the door, smoothing it with a spatula. When pasting the door with fragments, it is important to monitor their geometry, otherwise the work will look sloppy.

Additionally, you can decorate the door with beautiful furniture carnations, shiny nylon or leather cords, fabric paint, baguette frames.

- are universal. They cover not only walls, but also doors, creating unimaginable patterns and compositions. In this case, you do not have to mess with cutting canvases. However, it will not be possible to expose the door to moisture. Therefore, for decorating a door in a bathroom or kitchen, this method is unacceptable.

To work, you need a dry wallpaper mixture, a few spatulas different sizes, hopper gun, roller, clear lacquer, color.

Decorate the door with a mirror

A very unusual door finish can be made using mirrors. Such decor will not only attract everyone's attention, but also visually expand the space of the room, add light. However, cutting and attaching a classic glass mirror is very inconvenient, since there is an alternative - acrylic panels with amalgam, which has excellent reflectivity.

Acrylic mirrors are available in a wide range of colors. You can choose any shade you like or several to make mirror panel. Plastic panels do not break, are easily processed and attached to the door, and are light in weight. The cost of mirrored plexiglass is not the lowest, but the quality and aesthetic qualities are fully consistent with the declared prices.

Before attaching the mirror plastic to, you should carefully level the surface by deepening the nail heads, sanding and covering all the bumps / recesses with putty.

A deep penetration primer must be applied to the door and the back of the acrylic sheet. After it dries, the cut panels are fixed with double-sided tape and mounting adhesive. For convenience, use mounting suction cups, with their help it is much easier to carefully glue the panels to the door leaf.

As one of the decoration options, you can consider figured acrylic mirrors. Such a mirror can be attached in the center of the door or you can purchase several elements and arrange them beautifully. Usually small parts are produced with an adhesive layer already applied.

Even from such a simple material as buckwheat husks, excellent work is obtained. The cost of the material is minimal, but the service life of such a coating, unfortunately, cannot be called too long.

Step 1. Remove the layer from the door old paint, the existing vinyl coating, we eliminate all irregularities with putty.

Step 2. Remove the door from the hinges and put it on the floor / stools / table. We paint the door leaf with dark brown paint. If there are glass inserts on the door, we protect them with masking tape.

Step 3. We thickly grease the dried door with PVA glue, lay out the husk, distributing it with our hands. If necessary, add small gold sparkles.

Step 4. We cover the door with a transparent varnish (glossy or matte). It is advisable to apply three layers in order to qualitatively fix the buckwheat on the door leaf.

A beautiful door is ready. To prevent the door from knocking out general design room, decorate the picture frame in the same way and place the creation on one of the walls.

We decorate the door in vintage style

Vintage is sophistication and sophistication, the beauty of artificially aged things, in harmony with the chic of individual decorative elements. The door in vintage style will become a work of art, an exclusive element of the interior.

For decoration you will need:

We will combine door painting with decoupage technique and in addition we will add decorative elements. We will carry out the work on the already removed from the hinges, puttied and carefully sanded door, laid horizontally.

Step 1. Paint the door white. We apply the paint with a wide brush with stiff bristles in one direction, in a thin layer.

Step 2. When the paint dries, gently sand it with coarse sandpaper, achieving the effect of "old times".

Step 3. We start decorating the panels or the central part of the door. We tear musical notebooks and old newspapers into small pieces with our hands. We draw a field for activity of a rectangular or square shape on the door with a pencil. Lubricate the outlined areas with PVA glue. Immediately lay out the paper randomly, smoothing it with your hands. On top, apply a transparent varnish in two layers.

Step 4. Along the perimeter of the areas pasted over with paper, we fasten a black baguette to the mounting glue.

Additionally, you can decorate with a beautiful wreath, a large lace bow or plastic beads imitating pearls (glue-based).

There are many other ways to decorate doors. Operate with what you have home arsenal materials, connect your imagination and create your own masterpieces.
