Bath tubs. Instructions for assembly, installation and maintenance of acrylic bathtubs Bas

The advantage of acrylic bathtubs is their lightness, but this moment is also their disadvantage, since a rather fragile and thin construction may not withstand and burst upon impact or be damaged by a heavy object falling.

Agree, I would not want to spoil the new plumbing during installation. In general, the installation acrylic bath and with your own hands is an easy task. The main thing is to understand the principle of work and adhere to technology.

Below are various ways installation of the bath, the procedure for connecting the siphon and sewer supply is described. All instructions are accompanied by visual photos and videos.

Acrylic bathtubs are very beautiful, have original design and varied color solutions. At the same time they have their weak sides and vulnerabilities.

Therefore, it will not be superfluous to find out what problems you may encounter during installation and subsequent operation, and how to prevent them.

Colored acrylic bathtub unusual shape will become a bright and original element that can decorate the interior of any bathroom

Among the advantages are:

  • Plastic. Acrylic lends itself well to molding and subsequent processing. This property of the material determines the presence of a huge variety of forms of acrylic bowls.
  • Lightness. The acrylic bathtub is lightweight (15-25 kg), so one adult man can easily handle its installation.
  • Priority heating technology. Acrylic itself is warm material. In addition, it has low thermal conductivity, acrylic bathtubs are able to retain heat for a long time, the water in them cools down much more slowly than in cast iron structures.
  • maintainability. Plumbing and acrylic products in general lend themselves well to repair and restoration. If the damage is significant, then you can restore the bath using an acrylic liner, which is made for a specific design, and then simply inserted into the old container.

As for the shortcomings, they are also present. We must not forget about the disadvantages. Following the guidelines below will help you avoid possible problems and extend the life of the acrylic bath.

To disadvantages acrylic sanitary ware include:

  • sensitivity to high . Acrylic does not hold up very well high temperature. When heated above 60 degrees, it can be deformed, so you should not pour too much into the bath. hot water.
  • Fragility. If you accidentally drop a heavy metal object into the bathtub, a step like uneven surface, its bottom can be pierced through.
  • Vulnerability. Acrylic bathtub is capricious in - it cannot be rubbed with hard brushes, washed with powders containing abrasives, since the enamel is very susceptible and can be easily scratched from exposure to solid particles.

And it should also be noted, if not a drawback, then the inconvenience that the one who first sank into an acrylic bathtub faces. Due to the thinness of the material, the bottom may sag slightly under the weight of a person. However, you get used to this feature of an acrylic bath quite quickly.

Conclusions and useful video on the topic

The assembly of the frame and the installation of a bathtub with a plastic screen are described in the following video:

Video instruction on how to properly assemble a factory metal frame for an acrylic bath:

Acrylic bathtubs of angular, round or asymmetrical shape are installed only on the factory metal frame. Manufacturers apply detailed instructions, according to which any man can cope with this work on his own. However, it is better to entrust the installation of a hydromassage bathtub to specialists, since it requires the connection of complex electrical equipment.

First of all, of course, a few words should be said about the manufacturer acrylic bathtubs B.A.S. This company continues to amaze its customers and partners by proving that bathtubs made in Russia are no worse than their foreign analogues.

The main products of this company are hydro and air massage acrylic bathtubs.. Among the obvious positive aspects of acrylic bathtubs produced by BAS, the following can be distinguished:

  • bas acrylic bathtubs are made using multilayer polymer plastic from the company senoplast - a combination of acrylic and ABS plastic gives strength and reliability to the bath;
  • the same plastic from senoplast also has an antibacterial effect, which protects the bathtub from the growth of various bacteria
  • bas bathtubs are manufactured using high-quality Italian equipment, so the products can compete with European products
  • acrylic bathtubs are reinforced with a steel frame that is well protected from water
  • products are manufactured in Russia and therefore its features take into account the arrangement of Russian bathrooms

Buyers about BAS bathtubs

It is interesting what the buyers themselves say about bas acrylic bathtubs, it is quite easy to find reviews on the Internet. It turns out that most of the buyers were very satisfied, saying that the bas acrylic bathtub works great. Buyers happily share their impressions that the bath of this company:

  • does not scratch, despite the fact that the shower periodically falls into it
  • the side is very thick and you can sit on it
  • the bath retains heat perfectly, and therefore you can bathe in it for a long time, even if hot water is in limited quantity
  • the bath is equipped with beautiful comfortable armrests
  • takes up little space, all models are well thought out
  • the only detail that earned a few negative reviews was the hydro and air massage system - they say that it does not last very long, and repairs are quite expensive

It was also interesting that many buyers installed and assembled both an acrylic bathtub and a bathroom curtain on their own. Of course, not everyone can do this, but still we can assume that this indicates the quality of the product, since even a non-professional assembler will do everything with high quality. However, the installation of a bas acrylic bathtub can be done by professionals - it all depends on the capabilities of the client. The instruction that comes with the bathtub is quite clear and simple, so the assembly of the bas acrylic bathtub does not present any difficulty.

Three great examples of BAS products: Atlanta, Florida and Laguna

One great example is the acrylic bathtub. bas atlanta which has certain advantages. So, the dimensions of this bath model are quite modest, it is suitable even for a small bathroom - 170 by 70 cm. However, the capacity is very good - 205 liters. Since the baths from BAS are mostly hydromassage, Atlanta is no exception - it is equipped with six jets - three on each side.

The mandatory set includes a standard set:

  • metal frame that guarantees the strength of the bath
  • bathtub legs that allow you to adjust the height of the bathtub and make sure it is stable
  • front panel that will close the space under the bathroom and give the interior a complete look
  • the necessary device for draining and overflowing

In terms of design and space optimization, this is a very simple medium-sized rectangular bathtub that is comfortable enough, but does not take up too much space and does not distract too much attention, so it will easily fit into almost any modern design.

Another example of a great bathtub is the acrylic bathtub, which is a corner asymmetrical bathtub. It is quite compact on its own - 160 cm long and 88 cm wide, and yet has a beveled corner, so it will become ideal option for a small space. Although her style is quite simple and elegant, if desired, she can be distinguished - for example, create a visually separate space for her, with the help of decor elements, tiles of a different color or shade, additional shelves, etc. This bath, in addition to its ergonomic design, also has an interesting shelf for hygiene items, or even to sit on it.

The equipment here is standard - the same as in Atlanta. Capacity is also 205 liters. But there are more hydromassage jets - there are eight of them.

The last one should, of course, consider such a model as an acrylic bath bas lagoon, which is somewhat similar to the Florida model. However, the Laguna is larger in size - 170 by 110 cm. The capacity is also much larger - 295 liters. And the number of hydromassage nozzles is the same - eight pieces. The package is standard.

This bath is suitable for a medium-sized room, due to the fact that, although it is asymmetrical, it is still quite large and is unlikely to fit well in a small room. This model is also very conveniently equipped with a shelf for bathroom accessories and has ergonomic design. At the same time, it will most likely be one of the main elements in the design of the room, this is facilitated by its rather large size. Therefore, it can be distinguished by directional colored lighting, or other decor options. Also, great idea will hang large mirror next to the bath, so that it expands the space, and the bath no longer seems to be something bulky.

In addition to the standard equipment, BAS offers its customers a fairly large selection additional options. These additional features can be divided into several groups:

  1. Aero and hydromassage lotions: various types of massage - dorsal, shiatsu, foot; air massage from 6 to 12 nozzles, hydro-aero-pipe massage.
  2. Faucets: cascade mixer or even the whole set: spout, mixer, shower holder.
  3. Backlight: different kind lighting and chromotherapy.
  4. Pleasant little things: a headrest, armrests, products for cleaning the massage system or the bath itself, a pillow for the on and off buttons.

BAS provides its customers with really very wide opportunities according to the choice of model and set of bath equipment, plus you can choose a design curtain.

TRANSPORTATION OF BATHTUBS

The bath must only be transported in a horizontal position. When transporting and installing the bath, care must be taken not to damage the piping systems and electrical equipment. Bath should be moved only for the body or frame. Must be avoided mechanical damage bath body, panels, as well as to exclude the possibility of exposure to chemically active reagents on the surface of the product. When transporting in the cold season, before installation, the bath must be kept at room temperature at least 6 hours.

ATTENTION! It is strictly forbidden to move the bath by pipelines, nozzles, handles and other equipment! Inspect the goods for compliance with the order, the absence of mechanical damage, completeness, the availability of accompanying and warranty documentation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE BATH

The room in which the bath is installed must meet the following requirements:

Tiled and Finishing work must be completed;

The possibility of easy access to the components and assemblies of the bath for its preventive warranty maintenance and repair should be provided;

The presence of a power line with the required parameters and a socket with a connected ground contact. The power supply of the bathtub connection point must be provided by a double-insulated electric cable with a cross section of at least 2.5 mm2 and is in accordance with the norms and standards of the EU;

Availability of water supply and sewerage. Sewage pipe the bathroom should not rise above the floor at the connection point by more than 10 cm. If this is not possible, then a podium must be provided under the bath;

BATH INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

The installation of the bathtub must be carried out only by qualified specialists, in compliance with the following requirements:

Installation of a bathtub without a frame, as well as with a modified frame, is not allowed. Legs are used to level the bathtub and to adjust the gap between the bathtub panel and the floor. The bath must rest on all points of support in order to exclude uneven distribution of the load and, as a result, the appearance of microcracks in the bath body;

The bathtub must not be walled up in tiles, panels or hard mortars. To prevent moisture from getting under the bathtub or on the hydromassage equipment, the seams between the bathtub and the wall must be sealed with sanitary silicone.

Avoid dirt and construction dust on the surface of the bath. This can cause clogging and failure of the whirlpool equipment or lead to scratches on the surface of the tub, during subsequent unprofessional cleaning.

When performing work on the withdrawal of water supply and sewage pipes, it is necessary to take into account the linear dimensions of the bath. Otherwise, the connection may be difficult, since the pipe outlets may abut against the stiffeners, aggregates and fittings of the bath, and the bath cannot be installed close to the walls. Structural changes in the arrangement of equipment and pipelines of the bath, cutting of mounting clamps, and so on are strictly prohibited.

The electrical wiring of the room must have an individual differential switch 30mA, a magnetothermo 2.4-4A or another common connection (CEI-64-8) and installed in the common switchboard of the room. It is strictly forbidden to install the specified knife switch under the bathtub!

ATTENTION! Failure or incomplete fulfillment of the above requirements does not provide for the preservation of the warranty conditions for service or repair for such a bath.

BATH INSTALLATION

Install the bathtub on legs (Fig. 1) The manufacturer allows the legs to be equipped with an M12 bolt, instead of the corresponding threaded studs. Equipment legs A(fig. 1) (2 pcs.) - are installed on the front (front) side of the bath, along the edges, on the left and right (for the bath " RIVIERA"- 4 pieces, all in front). Equipment legs B(Fig. 1) - other remaining front and rear legs. The legs are attached to the frame with the upper pair of M12 nuts, which also serve to adjust the height of the bathtub.

Install a drain-overflow device (Fig. 2), a siphon (may not be included in the kit) on the bathtub, and adjust the height of the bathtub. The distance from the floor level to the lowest point of the siphon must be at least 15 mm. Make sure the bathtub is adjusted and rests on all points of support.

Install the panel onto the bathtub by snapping it onto the top fixings (fig. 6 and 7). On some models of symmetrical and asymmetric bathtubs "BAS" it is possible to cut the panels along the length (no more than 2 cm per side). In addition, if you plan to install a side panel on your bathtub, then first install the top fasteners under it that come with the side panel in the kit. Adjust the verticality of the panel. The bottom of the panel should be adjacent to the plane of the corner, installed on the extreme legs. Depth of landing of a corner is regulated by the bottom pair of nuts M12. The corners must be equally adjusted to each other in height, and be symmetrical with respect to the panel.

Using a 3.5 mm drill (the size is indicated for a 4.2x25 mm self-tapping screw), drill in the lower corners and panels through holes(Fig. 4 and 5).

Remove the panel from the bathtub and connect it to the sewerage and water supply systems (see Connecting the bathtub to the water supply and sewerage network), as well as to electrical network 220 V (see Connecting the bath to the electrical network). After that, carefully push the bath firmly against the wall, and once again make sure that it is stable on all points of support, and all connections are made correctly.

6. Install the panel on the bathtub and fix its bottom in drilled holes self-tapping screw with a press washer (Fig. 8).

7. Close the head of the self-tapping screw with a decorative cap (Fig. 9).

ATTENTION! IN ORDER TO AVOID MOISTURE GETTING OUT OF THE BATH, PRODUCE MANDATORY PROCESSING OF THE SEAMS WITH SANITARY SILICONE AROUND THE ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE BATH!

CONNECTING THE BATH TO THE WATER SUPPLY AND SEWER NETWORK

The connection of the bath to the water supply and sewerage network must be carried out by a qualified plumber.

The bath kit includes a semi-automatic drain device, which, after being installed on the bath, is connected to sewer network stationary, through flexible corrugated or rigid pvc pipe(not included). A sewer drain with a diameter of 40-50 mm is removed at the site of installation of the bath into the floor or wall, taking into account the linear dimensions of the bath. When the drain pipe is located in the wall optimal height a distance of no more than 2 cm from the floor level to the lower edge of the pipe is considered.

Connecting the bath to the water supply network if it is equipped with a mortise mixer. The pressure in the network should be 3-5 atm. At pressures above 5 atm., pressure reducers should be installed and adjusted to the specified standards.

Places for connection to the water supply system should be placed taking into account the linear dimensions of the bath and its units and equipped with taps that are disconnected from the main line. Connection to the system is carried out through a flexible plumbing connection ( water hoses). The length of the hoses must allow the bathtub to be moved away from the walls, and the distance must not be less than 0.5 m. Recommended use of water filters. The absence of filters can lead to clogging of the whirlpool jets and the ingress of metal scale into the ceramic cartridge of the mixer, which will lead to their failure.

ATTENTION! Mortise mixers are completed with a set flexible hoses standard sample. If the length of the flexible hose is not enough to connect to the system or connect between the elements of the mixer, then it is purchased separately, taking into account your dimensions for connection. The bathtub manufacturer is not responsible for the nature of the set of in-line faucets, for damage to the elements of the hydromassage system caused by their contamination when using unfiltered water containing rust, sand, chemically active impurities, as well as for breakdowns or incorrect operation of the bath equipment connected to the system water supply with non-standard pressure in it.

Leave the tub unattended while filling it with water. Overfilling the bathtub with water can lead to failure of the air massage system, without preserving the warranty conditions for the operation of the product.

Rotate the drain-overflow cover around its axis or with a load on the bath plug.

CONNECTING THE BATH TO THE ELECTRIC NETWORK

The electrical equipment of the bath is powered from a single-phase alternating current network, in accordance with the table below.

Function Voltage, V Frequency, Hz Power, kWt*
Hydromassage 220/240 50 0,9-1,5
Air massage 220/240 50 0,7-0,9

*power is indicated depending on the bathtub model

The connection of the bath to the electrical network must be carried out by a qualified specialist with the 3rd and higher tolerance group. How to connect hot tubs to the network:

Yellow-green wire - "ground";

Brown wire - "phase";

Blue wire - "zero";

The bath must only be connected to a separate residual current circuit breaker (RCD) with a rating of 30 mA and located outside the bathroom.

It is allowed to connect the bathtub to a 220 V network. In this case, they are purchased separately and installed independently. Each unit of equipment intended for connection to the network must have an individual connection to the electrical network.

Connect the units together, in one plug, etc.

Use a bathtub with a socket or plug without a good grounding contact.

Ground the bath through heating, plumbing and sewer equipment.

Operating the bath with a damaged power cord, or with a faulty or unconnected ground.

Conduct engineering works with the bathtub plugged in.

BATH CONTROL

Bath functions are controlled by the following equipment:

A) Jets (jets) for hydromassage.

Provide adjustment of the direction and strength of hydromassage jets. The direction of the jet can be easily changed by turning the nozzle nozzle within a 30 degree angle. The power of the water jet is regulated by turning the nozzle of the nozzle around its axis. The maximum jet flow is achieved by fully opening the jet nozzle counterclockwise (open nozzle).

B) Button on / off. Functions of a hydromassage with the regulator of supply of air (RPV). Provides on/off hydromassage system by pressing in the center. The RPV controls the amount of air mixed with the water jet during the operation of the hydromassage system, due to the injection process. By turning the knob, you can change the amount of air flowing with the jet of water from the hydromassage jets. The power of the jet increases with the supply of air into it.

IN) Button on / off. Aeromassage functions (chromotherapy illumination). Provides on / off aeromassage system. When switched on, the compressor pumps air under pressure through air nozzles installed at the bottom of the bath. At the same time, small air bubbles break out to the surface, massage and enrich the skin with oxygen. Can be used to turn on/off. Chromotherapy highlights.

G) Crane-balance (turbopool).

Switches the operating modes of the hydromassage system between the general hydromassage function and the back massage function (Shiatsu massage). Adjust the desired distribution of water supply by the indicated functions by turning the “flag” of the switch.

HOW TO USE THE WHITE BATH

ATTENTION! Never turn on the hot tub until the water reaches a level 5-6 cm above the opening of the main whirlpool jets. Avoid high thermal impact (above 65 degrees Celsius) on the surface of the product - this can lead to its damage! It is forbidden to turn on the hydromassage function with closed jet nozzles. Before turning on the hydromassage system, make sure that the jet nozzles are not directed upwards and that the balance tap is not in the back massage (Shiatsu massage) position. During the operation of the hydromassage, it is forbidden to block the grate of the water intake valve, preventing the flow of water into it. After using the bath and draining the water, it is recommended to blow the air massage jets by turning on the air massage function for 1 minute.

Never use the bathroom after taking alcohol or medicine. Hydromassage in medicinal purposes can only be carried out on the advice of a doctor who will select the appropriate duration of sessions and water temperature for you.

Taking a cold bath strengthens your health, a warm or slightly hot bath relieves stress. To relax muscles and relieve pain, take a bath up to 40 degrees Celsius. The first hydromassage session, which should be carried out only in warm water, should last no more than 10 minutes

The effect of water jet massage is directly proportional to the temperature of the water and the duration of the session. After taking a bath for too long, you may feel tired. And, if you feel sleepy while taking a bath, turn off the hydromassage device for a while and cool the water.

Contraindicated for overweight people hot tubs when the water temperature exceeds 38 degrees Celsius.

BATH CARE

For daily bath cleaning, use a liquid cleaner that is harmless to acrylic and plastic surfaces(see cleaning agent instructions) and a cloth made of soft tissue. The manufacturing company offers you a specialized cleaning agent "TIM-PROFI" adapted to our products. To maintain the shine of the bath, you can wipe it with a cloth with a polishing agent. To wash the bath, use only soft cloth napkins.

Deposits on the surface in the form of scale are removed with a soft cloth moistened with lemon juice or wine vinegar.

Surface scratches or burn marks from cigarettes can be removed by lightly sanding with a fine-grained sandpaper(No. 1000/2000) with water. You can restore the shine of the surface with a liquid polishing agent.

ATTENTION! To remove dirt from the surface of the hot tub, never use metal brushes or tools, as well as solvents or detergents with abrasive additives. Also avoid contact with ammonia or chlorine on brass and chrome parts.

CLEANING THE BATH HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

This type of cleaning when using hard water (over 15 salt deposits per 1 cubic meter water). In addition, it is recommended to clean the bath hydraulic system. Twice a year in the following way:

Fill up the bath hot water(40 degrees Celsius).

Pour in liquid detergent at the rate of 2 g per 1 liter of water and run the hydromassage system for about 5 minutes.

After that, turn off the hydraulic pump and drain the water from the bath.

Refill the bath cold water and turn on the hydromassage for 2 minutes.

Drain and wash the bath (see "Care of the bath").

SIMPLE FAULTS, CAUSES AND WAYS TO ELIMINATE THEM

  • oval;
  • rectangular;
  • angular;
  • asymmetric;
  • non-standard.

When choosing, it should be borne in mind that the more complex the product, the more support points it requires, and the more it is prone to deformation.

It is better to stay on more traditional oval or rectangular models. Products are attractive to buyers not only for their appearance and quality. Bas bathtubs are ergonomically designed to fit the human body and its curves. In such models, it will be pleasant and comfortable to take water procedures.

The weight parameter for acrylic bathtubs does not play a special role, since such products weigh much less than cast-iron options and do not cause difficulties with climbing to the floor and during the installation process.

Bath care

When washing the tub, use a liquid cleaner that is harmless to acrylic and plastic surfaces (see cleaner instructions). The manufacturer offers you a specialized cleaning agent "TIM-PROFI" adapted to our products. Remove stains with a soft cloth.

Surface scratches or burn marks from cigarettes can be removed by light sanding with sandpaper (#1000/2000) and water. You can restore the shine of the surface with a liquid polishing agent.

This type of cleaning is carried out using hard water (over 15 salt deposits per cubic meter of water). It is recommended to clean the bath hydraulic system at least 2 times a year as follows:

1. Fill the tub with hot water (40C).

2. Pour in liquid detergent at the rate of 2 g per 1 liter of water and start hydromassage for about 5 minutes.

3. After that, turn off the electric pump and drain the water from the bath.

4. Refill the tub with cold water and turn on the hydromassage for 2 minutes.

5. Drain and clean the bath (see "Care of the bath").

The manufacturer offers you a specialized hydraulic system cleaner adapted to our products.

WARNING: Never use metal brushes or tools, solvents or detergents with abrasive additives to remove dirt from the surface of the hot tub. Also avoid getting ammonia or chlorine on the brass and chrome parts of the tub.

  • How to use the hot tubs

It is forbidden to turn on the whirlpool bath when the hydromassage jets are closed and the water level is 5-6 cm below the jet opening. Never use the bathroom after taking alcohol or medicine. Hydromassage for medicinal purposes can only be carried out on the advice of a doctor who will select the appropriate duration of sessions and water temperature for you.

Taking a cold bath improves your health. A warm or slightly hot bath relieves tension. To relax muscles and relieve pain, take a bath (up to 40 C). The first hydromassage session, which should be carried out only in warm water, should last no more than 10 minutes. The effect of water jet massage is directly proportional to the temperature of the water and the duration of the session. After taking a bath for too long, you may feel tired. And if you feel sleepy while taking a bath, turn off the hydromassage device for a while and cool the water.

Overweight people are contraindicated in hot tubs with a water temperature exceeding 38 C.

Before turning on the whirlpool system, make sure that the jet nozzles are not pointing upwards.

Fault occurring Possible reason Remedy

Jet nozzles closed. Turn counterclockwise to open the nozzles.
The hydraulic pump is working, but no water is coming from the jets. Clogged piping system. See the paragraph "Care of the bathroom".
Increased vibration in the operation of the hydraulic pump. The fastening of the engine to the metal frame of the bath has loosened. Turn off the voltage. Tighten the engine mounting bolts.
