This novelty was accepted with skepticism, but the price and quality of this material forced the dissatisfied to reconsider the views. Ondulin is another colleague of roofing material, only higher in quality and reliability. I also call it - flexible slate. The appearance of these materials somewhat complicated the life of the founder of a flexible roof, and today it is more often used for waterproofing in the construction of the foundation of a bathhouse and a house.
Materials of the past
There are a few more coatings that are gradually forgotten, but still there are baths with such decorative trim. For example - chips. Many do not even know about this coverage. It is made from aspen, alder, spruce and pine. Chip roofing is durable, but the method of laying it is not easy, and all roofers are slowly moving away from it, preferring more technological options.
Sod cover. Another view from the past. This is not a single material, but a kind of cake of several, stacked in stages. First on a continuous 
roofing material spreads on the crate, its surface is poured with bitumen, then gravel is backfilled. Roofing material gives originality to the finish - it is an artificial grass for lawns, only made using a special technology for roofs. One layer is laid upside down, and the second down. Of course, the view of the hut with an evergreen roof is attractive, but special care, the complexity and cost of the design, casts doubt on the feasibility of its use.

Lightweight and easy to use material. Having chosen it, when drawing up a plan for the construction of a bath, it is necessary to lay materials with low flammability in the roof structure. That is, if possible, all the rafters are impregnated protective compounds, foam is not used as a heater, and the crate is pre-coated with a foil film. The tes itself is impregnated with oil paint or bitumen, and to reduce the likelihood of leakage, the boards are laid in two layers in a checkerboard pattern.
From a technical point of view, all the materials presented can be used with equal success to cover the roof of the bath. The question is only in the cost of work and the complexity of execution, because, without knowing the technique of laying metal tiles or seam roofing, it will not work to put it on your own.
